A wonderful traditional stay, beautiful property, very Korean feel which suits Gyeongju. We really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely breakfast in the morning with the very helpful lady running this property. Thanks for making our stay memorable.

Tout était absolument parfait jusqu’à ce que, au petit déjeuner, le personnel nous refuse du sucre pour mettre sur la tartine du petit. La franchement on n’a pas compris ! C’est peut être un sacrilège ou une offense au Bouddha lui même ???? Du coup mon fils a mangé sa tartine de pain nature.

Tranquil Hanok property. Terrific walkable location for sightseeing. So clean and well appointed! Highly recommend!

The hosts were lovely and accommodating. The Hanok felt like an authentic Korean experience. And the area surrounding was both interesting and beautiful. The hanok was also a short taxi ride away from Gyeongju World Amusement Park!

Highly recommend this to anyone wants to stay in gyeongju. Extermlly clean and well maintained. The host is very welcoming and they have a nice little kitchen for you to enjoy your breakfast.

My son and I had a wonderful stay! Thank you for the warm welcome. We especially enjoyed the lovely breakfast, local recommendations, heated floors and central but quiet location. We were able to walk to many of the cultural sites, which was perfect!

Pittoresque.
Très bel endroit et propre. A deux pas des sites touristiques et très bien déservi par les bus. L'accueil est efficace et les petits-déjeuners sont variés (avec des fruits frais !!!). Un petit bémol cependant : l'isolation phonique des chambres... Et encore, nous y étions en février quand toutes les portes et fenêtres sont fermées. Prévoyez des boules Quies !!!

Good points first - great location close to nice restaurants, cafes and historical sites. The garden view from the room was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting there with the doors open. The rooms were more spacious than other hanoks we’ve been to and the bathrooms were modern. A simple breakfast is included. Cons - soundproofing between rooms isn’t great which is to be expected with hanoks even with modern builds. Most of the time it’s fine as other guests are usually respectful and quiet. The first night, we slept well. The second night, we didn’t sleep well because the rude family next door was shouting and laughing loudly until nearly midnight despite us asking them to keep it down. I would still recommend a hanok stay but it depends on luck whether you get crappy guests or not.

Excellent location to explore the historic Gyeongju. Took the train from Seoul to Gyeongju and then a bus from train station took us directly to the hanok. There’s a convenience store around the corner so you can get everything you need. Main tourist attractions are within walking distance. And the main tourist area is 10 minutes walk around with lots of restaurants and shops. Room is warm and it’s an experience sleeping on futon which took some getting used to. Highly recommend this place. Beautiful building.

Hard as a rock with factory white bread
Beautiful setting, convenient to historical sites. However, the sleeping mats were less than one inch thick. Literally hard as a rock. Floor is heated, which was nice in winter. Towels are the size of hand towels and extremely thin. Breakfast is instant coffee, packaged white bread with jam, and an orange. Very disappointing.

チェックインはオーナーの女性の方に、とても温かく迎えていただきました。 お部屋はとても清潔で、オンドルも温かく、快適に過ごせました。 二人で泊まりましたが、布団を広げても十分な広さでした。 朝食はトーストとコーヒーのみでシンプルでしたが、パンがとてもおいしかったです。 瞻星台まで徒歩5分ほどのとても静かなエリアで、お店はたくさんありませんが、歩きながら歴史地区の雰囲気を味わえました。 もちろんファンニダンギルなどの賑やかなエリアにも歩いて行けます。 チェックアウト後も荷物を預かっていただき、オーナーの男性の方がタクシーまで運んで下さいました。 また是非利用したいです。

Authentic experience in prime location
I had a lovely stay at this traditional hanok in a prime location. The room was warm upon my arrival, everything listed was provided, and as a plus, the sheets smelled nice! The owner was very accommodating as well, allowing me to leave my bags at their premises before and after check-in/out.

We really loved our stay at Wiyeonjae. The location is scenic and very walkable, plenty of sightseeing and dining in the area. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Despite the traditional look, it had a nice modern bathroom.
