The staff are the friendliest and are so helpful. I’m a frequent visitor to Kinston and I will never stay anywhere else.

Great value, nice staff in a cool renovated motor inn. Only complaint is my room was a room pets were allowed in and it had a bit of an odd smell, but it was clean. I didn’t have a pet with me so it would’ve been nice to get a different room.

Very nice stay, clean & great staff! Stayed Friday to Monday. I'll definitely be back! This is better than the newer hotels. Nice pool, miniature golf & lounge areas all made it worth while. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We had seen this spot a couple of years back when driving through Kinston, and we finally made a weekend trip to stay. This motor lodge is a dream. The front staff was wonderful and kind, they sell their local beer right there, they have popcorn in the lobby and had cookies fresh baked when we arrived, and they have a cute little breakfast nook. Their rooms are all completely renovated but with original bathroom tile, and they are spotless. The renovations are a nod to the past, but they also are modern and comfy. The ac worked so well too, and the bed was really comfy. Everything worked well and I literally have nothing but positive comments. If you are on the fence, come and stay. The area doesn't have a ton to do, but there are cute restaurants and it is also close to the coast for a cheaper price. :) I even got a little car sticker and keychain on the way out the door because I wanted to help advertise this cute spot. There are not a ton of motor lodges left, and seeing this one restored so well is wonderful.

I loved the retro look and feel of this hotel! Newly renovated, but kept to the 1960s theme. Very clean. A fun place. Nice pool. Mini Golf and Shuffleboard! Could have been on Route 66. Feels almost like a movie set.

We were only here for a night but would recommend it for a stay. Fun pool, lots of tables to sit at by the pool plus putt putt golf! Staff was very friendly and neighborhood was beautiful

This is the place I’ve been looking for. The USA is filled with chain hotels on stroads that all look alike. Contrast that to any European walkable town that has locally owned hotels in good condition that actually have some personality. That’s this place. We loved it! Stay here!!

Wonderful retro property. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very neat and clean with appropriate retro mid-century furniture. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

A delightful place to stay. If you are just passing through and need a place for a night or two it’s fine. The retro feel is done nicely. Check in was easy and service was just fine

Me and my partner enjoyed our stay for tge post part.Great staff and very helpful. I also enjoyed the retro vibe of the hotel. The mattress on the bed was uncomfortable and made it difficult to sleep.

Cute and affordable
I enjoyed the stay. It is close eateries - but don’t count on a late evening. I stayed in a single room w/double/queen bed - not large but I was pleased. My only concern is that there is not 24 hour desk service if you ran into any issues. I did not need to check, but I’m sure there must be someone to contact if there was a problem.

This one of my favorite locations for a staycation! The rumes are always fabulously clean and the staff is outstanding. The night that I was there, a baseball team was spending the night and the kids and the parents were loud, but that is beyond the control of the Motor Lodge. The staff was apologetic and professional
