New Hotel in Good Location
The free breakfast turned out to be a voucher for a food area on the lobby floor. Prepackaged food and drinks were available with microwave etc for heating/preparing food. The advantage of this system was that one could use the vouchers at any time. And there were New Year sweets available. :-) The hotel is about a ten minute walk from the station and close to an Aeon Mall with cinema and to convenience stores and to a Nos Burgers and to a KFC and to a Book Off.

No control on room temperature
The staff is nice and helpful. However, the room is too hot in Nov as the room temperature cannot be adjusted. The air con temperature is fixed as "auto" mode and sometimes hot air comes out. The only solution is to open the windows on our own.

Staff give very welcoming vibes and are always helpful with our requests and queries. We like the hotel the moment we entered as it has a Zen look and chill corners with self servicing areas (quite appealing). The rooms are bigger than my expectation and facilities are great, one of the better one during my stay in Japan. It's a 5 mins walk to Toji Temple, walkable distance to Kyoto main station, 3 mins walk to a mall (Aeon), and even a train station just a few mins walk away. Great staff and memorable stay! All in all, a hotel that i would book again, anytime!

Really a good stay with them there have their vending machine, food stall that u can buy breakfast/snacks for you convenience althought no meal provided free water refilling is the best for who bring own water bottle like me before my free and easy travel every morning!!

Travelled to Kyoto during a typhoon day and my flight got delayed, almost all transport options from airport were cut off. Messaged the property for updates and assistance via expedia and got very prompt replies. Staff was helpful and reassured me that I could get checked in past midnight. The property itself was comfortable and accessible as well.

星野リゾートの提案するシティホテル
星野リゾートの提案するシティホテル、ビジネス＆デザインホテルと解釈しました。オペレーションの人件費をきりつめて、ほどほどの値段でより良い宿泊環境にしようということだと思いますが、ロビーラウンジの食やお土産をあれこれ選べるのは楽しい反面、やはりホットミールがレンチンのみというのは宿泊価格を考えると侘しさは否めなかった。コーヒーくらいはサービスにしてくれても良いのではないだろうか？同じ価格帯のホテルフォルツァあたりの方が快適に感じる。周辺の案内やロビーの遊び心はさすがではあるが。

this hotel doesn't have parking space. but there are still some public parking around. the cost is variance. hotel has got very nice and helpful staffs. they were really willing to help and providing extra assistance. I really appreciate the lady staff from Taiwan and the front desk local staffs. Thanks alot. but around there have not much restaurant selection especially at night.

Such a lovely property and wonderful staff. The lobby area is beautiful but quaint and the rooms are quite big for Japan standards. Is a quick walk to the train station as well. Had a great stay!

Property and service are excellent. Just a few inconveniences. 1. Payment method : cash is unavailable. We didn’t want to use a credit card due to service charge applied. Luckily we had suica cards for payment for food. 2. Luggage delivery service : only certain hotels and places available.
