El hotel muuuy sucio. Cajas de pizza dejadas en el pasillo por dos días, tienes que pedir que te hagan la limpieza, pero nadie te avisa que hay que hacerlo. Supuestamente el desayuno está incluidos pero bajas a la 8:30 am y ya no hay comida, y también muuuy sucio el cuarto del comedor. No limpian los basureros. En cuanto a ubicación es muy bueno si tu idea es ir a esquiar. En general los servicios son malos. Ventaja tiene microondas y refrigerador en el cuarto. Los baños OK

Hello there Martin! I can assure you there was someone here to check you in, as we are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is possible that the front desk person was away assisting another guest, or taking a very short break. Because we are a small hotel, we only staff one front desk clerk at a time. There is a phone in our lobby that is clearly marked with an extension to call and get assistance when the front desk person must step away. We apologize that it went unnoticed while you were here trying to check in. I am unsure that we would be able to offer a refund at this time since we had your room held and ready for you, but I will check into some things here in the office and speak with the owner and then make a final decision on that. Airco/Heater unit was REALLY LOUD and would not do a continuous on setting, just loud then off and back again, once every 3 minutes all the time. Aside from that annoyance, the rest of the place was pretty good. Not upscale, but generally in acceptable condition. The price is right, for sure.

The negatives: 1) Motel is old and in need of renovation. 2) The heater in our room looked like an air conditioner and it cycles on and off every few minutes. The cycling interfered with my sleep. If you put it on continuous fan, it does not heat and the room gets cold. 3) There is no place to hang anything in the room (no closet or alternative). 4) There was 1 waffle maker in the breakfast room, which resulted in a long wait both mornings.
The Positives: Price was low.

Dear James,Thank you so much for letting us know about the issues you encountered during your stay! Without guest input we don't always know there is an issue with a room. You are correct, the heating unit does look like an AC unit, because it is a dual unit that does both heating and cooling! It sounds like yours may not have been functioning properly so I will have maintenance take a look at it. I will also have them look to see if we have a clothing rack that can be installed so there is a place to hang clothing.I apologize that our breakfast room is so small. Truth be told, most hotels only have one waffle maker! Unfortunately when we are busy that can mean waiting in line for a waffle, we simply do not have the space to add another waffle iron. We do our best to keep our rates competitive, and budget friendly even during ski season, so I am glad to see that was a positive for you! Thanks again for letting us know about your stay. Dear Amy,Thank you so much for letting us know about your stay. I am really glad that you found things to be clean. I am disappointed to see that you could smell marijuana inside. We do not allow smoking inside of our hotel, but there are times when a guest does not follow that policy. Also, since Colorado is a recreational use state, people do come inside smelling like it and the smell has a tendency to linger. I will talk to the owner and find out what we can use to get rid of the odor more quickly. Our hotel is dated, I can certainly agree to that statement, but I was wondering if you could clarify your statement about it being fairly run down and in need of repair. We have made a lot of improvements and will continue to do so, but I am wondering if you are referring to the building attached to ours that does not belong to us. Our hotel is dated, I will concede that, but it is not rundown. The building attached to ours that we do not own is run down but unfortunately we do not have any control over that building. As other reviews have stated, this is what you expect for the price in a ski town. This property is dirty, our room was not clean but the bed was made. Breakfast was not really kept up for the patrons and staff just said “we are out of that.”

This property is very dated. Popcorn ceilings, tight space and no closet. Never was given internet. The shower had not been cleaned in some time. The dirt on the top of it was thick and black. Even a left over bar of soap from who knows when.
If you can’t find any other place, then I guess this works.

We have a pest control company that comes to treat our hotel for many different pests as a preventative measure. We get spiders, and sometimes an occasional mouse in the building, but bed bugs have not been an issue for us. We check rooms regularly for them. We will double check the room you stayed in to make sure there is not a problem and take necessary steps to mitigate any issues we find. Have a great day!

Nice place outside of Leadville and min away from CooperSki
Only minutes away from downtown Leadville, 20 minutes from Cooper Ski and 40 minutes from Copper Mtn. Rodeway was a perfect overnight stay for our ski trip. Rooms were comfotable and clean and reasonably priced. Breakfast consisted of muffins, toast, waffles, cereal, oatmeal and yogurt.

You get what you pay for - overall not bad
The hotel is older but in decent shape. You essentially get what you pay for. Beds weren’t most comfortable but not uncomfortable. Good selection for continental breakfast. Super friendly staff. Worse part was the bright lights from the parking light shining into the bedroom. We used the comforter over the curtain so it wouldn’t feel like daytime at night.

Hi Paige! I am disappointed to see that it looks like we failed to meet your expectations during your stay here at our hotel. Is there anything we could have done to bring that 6/10 up higher? We would love to know!!!I am actually glad you pointed out that things were very basic. Rodeway Inns are typically a budget friendly, no-frills place to get a good night's rest, and I think that describes us to a T! I am sorry that you were misled to believe we were more. We work hard to make sure our guests feel welcome, and if there is anything we can help with we are glad to do it if we are able to, but like I said, we are a no-frills kind of place. I truly hope you have a great day today!

Dear Anthony,Thank you for leaving us your feedback. I am sorry to see that you did not like our free continental breakfast offerings. You are correct, we did not have orange juice. Unfortunately, we ran out, but expect to receive our stock soon. Otherwise, our breakfast goes above brand standards for Rodeway Inn hotels. We are not required to serve bagels, so we don't have them, but we do have fresh bread for toast. We are not required to serve fresh fruit, and it can be difficult to get it here in Leadville in the winter, so we do not provide that either. We do provide an assortment of other items for our guests that we feel is sufficient while keeping costs low so that we can remain budget friendly. Thanks again for your feedback. Wifi didnt work the entire 5 days of our stay. Room didn’t have shampoo or soap. Breakfast was very basic. Stay away from this place.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts on our hotel. We deeply apologize that things were not up to par during your stay. We are working continuously to get our guest wifi back up and running, but we are at the mercy of service technicians right now. If we had known during your stay that you needed shampoo or body soap we would have been more than happy to provide that for you. Our housekeepers usually restock those things for our guest on a daily basis unless they have left a SNOOZE ON/ DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. I will speak with them and make sure they are still checking those items in occupied rooms. Our breakfast is very basic, but it does go beyond brand standards for Rodeway Inn hotels. We are pleased to be able to provide a small variety of items free of charge to all our guests!Have a great day!!!

No wifi wasnt great but it happens. Also the way the lights are set up, hotel room is super bright at night even with the curtains closed. Tons of light in the lower level rooms at night

I will talk with the owner and our maintenance person to see if they can be adjusted up even just a little to help with the light bleeding into the rooms. Staff was nice and all, but you get what you pay for. Room was clean and all, but had a poor, loud heater, and thin sheets and blankets. Was a rough 2 nights. Main area carpet and floor was dirty. Again, room was clean, and service was good, but you get what you pay for.

We strive to provide the best customer service possible. We are sorry for the less than stellar aspects of your stay. I will have our maintenance check the heater in the room you stayed in, it should not have been loud like that. I'm sorry it kept you up! We keep staff on site 24/7 to address any needs, and we are always happy to grab an extra blanket if needed. During busy times, and especially in the winter with the snow and ice melt/salt, it is hard to keep the common area floors spotless. We do our best to keep up on them though with a minimum of 3x day cleanings, and when extra muddy, even more often. It can sometimes feel like mowing the lawn during a tornado, but we keep on trying in hopes to minimize the mess. We hope to see you and your family again in the future!

Not great
No wifi, awful continental breakfast, tv screen had a weird line through it. Cable TV kept cutting out. Upstairs room was very loud with kids bouncing around.The place was fairly rundown, but there was a sign that said they were updating, but there was no actual evidence of that. Probably won’t stay there again. There was loud music in the parking lot at Midnight that went on for nearly an hour.

It's an okay place - a little old but worked well and was very clean. Only complaint was their breakfast did not have any protein at all - no hard boiled eggs, breakfast meat - just cereal, waffles and yogurt basically. It was well stocked though but really could have used some protein.

Thank you for staying with us and sharing your feedback! It looks like we did a pretty good job meeting your expectations for an affordable clean stay. You are absolutely correct that we are an older building, but with our new owners as of 2021, there have been several major changes and upgrades! Including a new roof, swapping out the old brass key door locks in favor of new electronic locks, and removing the old baseboard heaters and installing all new, self-contained heat/AC units. We do hope to continue to refresh the hotel as time allows. We are sorry our breakfast offerings were less than you had hoped for. We strive to provide the best balance of amenities while remaining one of the more affordable lodging options in the area. As an economy brand hotel, our Rodeway Inn goes above brand standards for our breakfast offerings. Providing a more robust breakfast would require extensive remodeling to adhere to commercial kitchen guidelines, thus greatly increasing our room rate cost, something that does not currently make sense with our goal to remain an affordable stay. We strive to not only meet, but exceed the expectations of all our guests, which is why we are happy to provide recommendations for local breakfast places to give our guests who seek a more complete breakfast additional options, while supporting our amazing small businesses in town! We hope you visit us again when you are in need of a clean, comfortable stay with the basics.
