Hotel Finca Son Palou
Es un hotel idílico, en un pueblo y valle protegido en el interior de la Serra de Tramuntana; sitio que destaca altamente del resto de la isla de Mallorca, dada la conservación del entorno, realmente admirable, así como el "orgullo" que mantienen sus habitantes para protegerlo. Muy agradable el staff; siempre pendientes de todos los que nos alojamos allí. También , destacar a Marc, el encargado e hijo de los dueños, que intenta (y logra) que nos sintamos como en casa, de verdad. Las habitaciones están muy bien decoradas, sin estar sobrecargadas y el comedor donde se desayuna y cena, muy confortable, con techos altos. Siempre hay que llegar en coche, no hay otra manera. También hay que seguir muy bien las indicaciones. Llegando a Son San Joan, el aeropuerto, seguir por la Autovía al norte (Port D¨Alcudia), y , al llegar a Alaró, hay que cruzar totalmente el pueblo, siguiendo a Orient, por una carretera de montaña (preciosa pero estrecha y con curvas), en unos 5-6 Km se llega a Orient, que no tiene más allá de 20 casas, pasando el único bar , ver la indicación de Son Palou, hay que entrar por una puerta de madera a la finca y subir empinadas curvas, hasta llegar al hotel. Cuando se llega...algo fantástico!

Ein riesiges, wirklich einzigartiges Grundstück mit tollen Zimmern bzw. Apartments. Überall Liegestühle und Sitz-Ecken. Herrliches Frühstück im Innenhof. Infinity-Pool mit Abendsonne, einfach herrlich. Manche Zimmer im Haupthaus sind sehr hellhörig, aber insgesamt eine klare Empfehlung. Herausragend!

Beautiful quiet place
Amazingly beautiful, quiet, calm place and kind professional service. A storm has recently ruined many trails but once restored there should be lovely walks on the property. Other guests with children arrived, they were unruly and noisy - its really not a place to go with unbehaved kids, stay away you ruin the experience for other paying guests.

Die Finca Son Palou ist wunderschön gelegen in erhobenen Position im Tramuntana Gebirge. Die Ausblicke ins Tal sind traumhaft. Z.B. von dem von Pinien umgebenen Infinity Pool aus. Die Anlage ist geschmackvoll gestaltet und sehr gepflegt. Zur Finca gehört ein großes Stück Land auf dem man tolle Wanderungen in Olivenhainen, in Pinienwäldern und auf Anhöhen mit sehr schönen Panoren machen kann. Uns sind dort außer Schafen keine weiteren Lebewesen begegnet. Vor allem aber das Personal ist hervorzuheben. Immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zum Frühstück würden wir verwöhnt mit diätgerechten Gerichten, die das ohnehin hervorragende Buffet ergänzten. Dinners waren auch erstklassig.

Luksus agroturisme
Stille og naturskønt område. Fremragende service og alle talte perfekt engelsk. Årstiden og lokationen i bjergene satte lidt en stopper for vin på terassen eller et dyk i poolen sent om aftenen, men til gengæld var det perfekt temperatur til de lidt mere udfordrende vandreture i bjergene! Fantastisk olivenolie som også kan købes med hjem!

Jättefin finca som en liten paradisplats mitt bland berg och dalar. Underbar pool och läge. Rummet stort och fint. Fina promenadstråk på ägorna och på vintern ett coolt vattenfall. En plats för vila och lugn. Gudomlig mat och dryck. Inget kunde ha varit bättre!

Beautiful old property in a fabulous setting. Scenery is gorgeous and the hotel provides an oasis of calm. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts and dinner were lovely. Very glad we stayed here. We drove to it from Bunyola - not for the faint hearted but driving from Alaró was much better.

Traumhafte Finca in den Bergen in ruhiger Umgebung
Wir haben gerade einen wunderschönen Urlaub in der Finca Son Palou verbracht. Die Finca ist ein absoluter Traum. Orient ist ein sehr schöner kleiner Ort mitten in den Bergen. Die Finca liegt hoch oben auf einem Berg und auf einem riesigen Gelände. Unser Zimmer mit Terrasse war sehr schön, das Essen sehr lecker, der Pool sehr schön und perfekt gelegen. Aber am meisten haben uns die Menschen beeindruckt, die auf der Finca arbeiten. ALLE Mitarbeiter sind hoch professionell und sehr herzlich. Der Service beim Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und sehr persönlich! Auch das house keeping war perfekt. Tagsüber und am Abend beim Dinner wurden wir betreut von Laura und Thomas, die wir ausdrücklich erwähnen möchten. Alleine wegen Laura und Thomas werden wir bald wieder zurück kommen, sie haben mit ihrer herzlichen und persönlichen Art dafür gesorgt, dass wir uns auf der Finca zu Hause fühlen. Beide werden uns in sehr guter Erinnerung bleiben. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an alle Mitarbeiter von Son Palou und an Marc, den freundlichen Manager des Hotels!

Stunning Rural Location
Stunning location and beautifully appointed Finca. A lovely chilled couple of nights. Mark was a great host and made us very welcome. Loved the pool & managed a swim, it was very cool though. Lovely walks in the surrounding area. I think we were unlucky with the one dinner we ate at the Finca as others we spoke to said the following night was far better. The night we ate we had the set meal (€39) and we were 45 minutes before our starter (ceviche) arrived & it was nothing special, the risotto (another long wait) was quite nice but our lamb cutlets were undercooked (I like them pink but these were so undercooked) and not particularly tasty. Desert was only ok. Charges for water were excessive both in the restaurant and room & no complementary water is provided in the bedroom (poor). Cheaper water options should also be available with larger bottles rather than the 0.5 litres available for purchase. Note that there are no shops in the village so bring water with you! Breakfast was nice.

Es ist ein sehr ruhiger Ort, sehr schön gelegen aber auch etwas abgelegen. Sehr empfehlenswert, wenn man Ruhe sucht, oder Sport macht (wandern, Rad fahren). Der nächste Ort ist nur über eine kurvenreiche schmale Strasse erreichbar. Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, das Personal sehr nett, insgesamt aber etwas unpersönlich und steif. Das Essen ist vorzüglich, sehr schön angerichtet, für hungrige Wanderer etwas wenig.

Geweldig hotel!
Super fijn hotel om te verblijven. Personeel is heel gastvrij en vriendelijk. Eten is heerlijk. Kamers zijn netjes en verzorgd. Zwembad is heerlijk rustig. En de ligging is ook fantastisch als je op zoek bent naar een rustige omgeving. Het enige wat je hoort zijn schapen die ergens op de 100 hectare rondlopen. Absolute aanrader!

Relaxing stay
Had such a lovely stay! It is a little bit in the middle of nowhere which is amazing and peaceful but lots of driving to explore the West coast due to the mountain roads. Such a beautiful place and incredibly relaxing. The food was also amazing!

Wonderful location,quiet & scenic.
The hotel location is wonderful,incredibly peaceful & scenic. The original Finca features are still in evidence, (& owned & managed by the same family since 14th century.)&, although displays such rustic appeal, everywhere is immaculately cared for. The staff were faultless, friendly, helpful,efficient & professional, without exception. Breakfast was fabulous, consisting of all one could ever need, including beautifully prepared & presented fruits,dinner was exceptional, each evening, a ‘fine dining’ experience. Our room was always cleaned to an exacting standard, not luxurious, but extremely comfortable with its traditional rustic Spanish vibe. Some form of room mosquito repellent & a ‘docking station’ would have been welcome additions, but the included Nespresso machine was excellent! We would thoroughly recommend this hotel & very much look forward to our return!

A very relaxing place to stay or the base for an adventure. Put your feet up and chill around the pool or take one of the many local walks. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a place we would return to.

This hotel is fantastic. If you want utter peace and quiet then this is definitely the place to stay. However, dispite it's location you are only a short drive from beaches and other parts of the island. We however spent most of the time just chilling by the pool. The breakfast and dinner were just fabulous. One of the best hotels we've ever stayed at.

Heavenly Tranquility with Modern Luxuries
Finca Son Palou was, by far, the highlight of our trip to Mallorca. My husband and I spent two days in Barcelona before coming here for six and after one day at Son Palou, we wished we had skipped Barcelona all together. This place is other worldly - the farmhouse, which has been so beautifully restored but still celebrates its original architecture and aesthetic, rests upon 100 hectares of breathtaking views of the Serra de Tramuntana Mountains with olive groves, cherry and apple orchards, forest, and a few surprise friends (sheep!) tucked in its valleys. The photos on its website do not begin to do its beauty justice (no photo could!). Note that the pool area has been enhanced - rather than the red brick, turquoise chairs, and yellow umbrella in some photos, it now has new crisp white concrete pavers, neutral cushioned chairs, and white umbrellas. The infinity pool is the show stopper - we never tired of the views, the other guests were quiet and respectful, and the honor bar makes it easy to lounge for hours. The gardens surrounding the hotel and pool are awe-inspiring - you'll find bumble bees buzzing about lavender, rosemary growing in every variety, majestic cyprus trees, bougainvillea climbing up the courtyard walls, and the list goes on. We had booked a standard room and ended up with a terrace, where we enjoyed having drinks and appetizers before a late dinner each evening. Throughout our stay, Olga and the owner made the guests feel like family.

Fantastic spot!
We really enjoyed staying here. It was actually a highlight of a trip that also included Monte Carlo, Paris, Barcelona, Valencia and Madrid. We would definitely stay here again. It is remote and quiet so any potential guests need to realize that beaches are about 40 minute car ride. If you want something different and quiet in a remote setting, this is it. If you want to be close to a beach, probably not a great choice. Staff was great and setting was amazing.

Extremt trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Lugn, stillsam och fridfull oas i ett område med möjlighet till vackra promenader. Ett fantastiskt ställe att vila ut på!!! Mycket bra wi-fi. A car is required , but if you love walking or biking this is a fabulous hotel , food and service very good . A great hotel to unwinde hopefully return one day .

Ein idyllisches Plätzchen zum Wohlfühlen
Wir empfinden den Ort als eine Oase, in der man Ruhe findet und mit einem tollen Frühstück in den Tag starten kann. Aber auch am Abend wurden wir mit einem delikaten Essen verwöhnt. Am Tag haben wir uns am Pool entspannt oder waren auf Erkundungstour unterwegs.

Very nice finca - hope to come back sometime
Excellent finca! Nice surroundings, rooms and pool-area. Marga (reception) was the kindest woman - we felt welcome and 'at home' right away, thanks to her. All other staff also very kind and helpful doing their best to make everones stay perfect. Hope to come back sometime....

Ruhe und Harmonie
Auch wenn wir "nur" 4 Tage in der Finca verbrachten, so waren sie entspannend und erholsam wie mehr als eine Woche. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich begrüßt. Unseren Empfangs-Cava erhielten wir auf der von Blumen und Bäumen umgebenen Terrasse, wo Vögel zwitscherten, Häschen hoppelten, ein lauer und leichter Wind wehte - aller Ballast fiel sofort ab! Der Service, die Freundlich- und Herzlichkeit der gesamten Fincacrew waren einfach super. Das Essen war absolut top. Die Ausstattung der Finca wunderschön, die Außenanlage sehr gepflegt... Wir kommen bestimmt wieder :-)

Skønt lille hotel i hyggelig lille by med 2 rigtig gode restauranter. Fantastisk beliggenhed med bjerge til alle sider.

"Son Palou" Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung
Herrlich auf einer Anhöhe in einem Tal gelegen - ca. 100ha große Finca - Natur pur - freundlicher/hilfsbereiter Service; auch durch den Eigentümer selbst - eigenes Restaurant mit vorzüglicher Küche; aber nicht ganz billig - Oase der Ruhe u. Entspannung - schöner Pool mit tollem Ausblick - saubere Anlage - Wandervorschläge durch Finca - was will man mehr - empfehlenswert für Ruhesuchende.
