This is an older resort that has made renovations. There was no handicapped parking-working in area. We had to park very far away-by the time we found the right wing-we had to walk another very long hallway to get to room. The heater in room ran constantly but never got warmer than 72 degrees-outside it was in 40s and raining. Granted it might be off season-but very limited choices for dining at the resort. Had to eat off property dinner and breakfast. Definitely got my 5000 steps in from parking lot to room. Floors in room are not level so if you get up in middle of night-you might end up in hallway if you’re not careful. Again, got a deal on the room and maybe there were better accommodations but ours fell short.

Check-in experience was pretty awful. I waited in a line for more than an hour in order to check-in. Two staff members at reception were working together to check folks in; one person making keys for the rooms, the other for everything else. Also very easy to hear people in the hallways and through the room walls.

There was only one person able to check in people when we arrived before the big eclipse; it took over an hour to check in. We were told a worker was sick, but it was disappointing that there was not another staff member able to independently check in people. The hotel did make it up to us when we asked, but it was an unwelcome experience.

Hot tub was cold and green. Overall a great property but it has slid a bunch since our last visit. Service was mixed at best. Courteous but not fast or effective.

Loved the Pet Friendly policy, our room had an enclosed balcony for the dogs, space was great, only drawback was our room was directly above the laundry facilities and they started work at 5 am. The ramp they used and door they used was very loud and constant. Staff was friendly, 4 restaurants were great. Free parking very close to our place. We stayed at the Orvis Inn, right next to the Main Equinox building. Would stay there again. Gym and pool were great.

I have stayed at this property several times and while it isn't as new and snazzy as some of the other luxury properties in the area, it is always very comfortable and genteel. Staff is always so helpful, professional, and kind. The spa/pool/workout area could use some refreshing but again, it is overall very good. If I had to give one cons, it would be the morning coffee in the lobby. It is not the tastiest and a bit bitter - but I am a huge coffee drinker.

I truly enjoyed the history of the Equinox. Our room was large and clean; bed was wondering!; staff was friendly; location is perfect as restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Absolutely loved our stay! Our only complaint would be the parking lots. It rained the day we arrived and the parking lot was muddy. It was very tough to 1. park the car; 2. walk to our room with all our luggage. If they would pave the parking areas, it would go a long way.

When arriving our room was not ready and was advised it would be shortly, staff would call me. Went to have early dinner and still no call from management advising room was ready. The shower accumulated water inside of the tub above the ankles due to blockage of human hair most likely. Trying to contact the spa or have the front desk contact the spa to obtain an appointment was impossible and were told guests staying at the hotel do not follow the same guidelines as those that are walk ins for the pool & spa services. The grounds are great but this was not a great experience.

I stayed one night at the Equinox and I had high hopes that it would be amazing. It was not amazing. I was not able to reach anyone by phone or email prior to my stay to discuss dining options. When I arrived, I could not reach anyone from my room phone to discuss dining options. The line just rang and no one picked up. I called the front desk to ask if I needed a reservation for dining and the person who answered did not know. I was transferred to another line where no one picked up. When I just showed up at the restaurant they said they weren't accepting any walk ins. The gym is very nice but one of the 3 treadmills was not working on my 2 visits. My room was attractive but the bathroom seemed to not have heat and was freezing. I expected there would be a bathrobe and there wasn't. The sounds from the hallway (kids and dogs) were easily heard from my room. There was no hostess when I arrived at breakfast. When I ordered oatmeal at 9am I was told they were all out of oatmeal. My breakfast took 30 mins to arrive at the table. Poached eggs were overcooked and sausage was cold. I enjoyed the coffee in the lobby area. My sense is that they are short staffed and that more training is needed. The two servers I met were very nice but they need more of them. I think hearing all about the awards that this property has received set my expectations very high. I was just disappointed it did not live up to the hype. I would have been better off staying at a Hampton Inn.

While lovely in theory this property is in need of an update....this no longer feels like a luxury hotel. We enjoyed our stay but would potentially look to other hotels in the area for a future stay given cost for the condition of the property.

Most of the staff are wonderful The young people at the front who help with bags are welcoming & friendly. The bartender in The Flacon is fantastic (I heard several people rave about her drinks). The Manager on duty was unfortunately a bit abrupt. We stayed for 2 nights and the our hotel room was freezing - cold air was pumped out all night from the air vents & the engineer was called several times (when we checked in we heard another guest complaining about being a similar issue). We were never offered to change rooms or any consideration for the issue -and no one actually called us to check to see if the heat came on or were ok. On checkout I found several charges on the bill that did not belong to us (we paid for all services at time of use and did not charge to room). When the front desk staff reviewed the bill they could see the name/signature was not ours). Event though Manager aid he would take care of it I had to track down accounting the next day to get the charges reversed. The Equinox has a lot to offer and some great staff and I hope they can get it together.

The resort is pretty nice - the pool is good and the main areas of the hotel are nice. Our room was not very clean - the sink was dirty when we arrived and there were cobwebs on both windows. The walls are paper thin and the people in the room next to us had a shouting argument until midnight - felt like staying in a housing project. Would not repeat.

Dinner service was slow but I understand it is a busy time of year. Nice property and the room was spacious and very clean with nice furnishings. We would stay there again. My one suggestion to guests in the area is book dining in advance...thinks book up and dining ends early in many spots.

The last time we were in Manchester we Vrbo'd which was a good move at the time. This time around we decided to try The Equinox since we heard good things about it. Big mistake. The rooms are tight (you have to request for a fridge since they don't come with one), some areas (like the elevator and some of the corridors) need repair/updating, some of the staff (other than the cleaners/porters/bellhops) weren't particularly accommodating or pleasant, the gym/spa staff are rude, the gym/spa doesn't have proper signage, and the members of the spa were rude on top of that. I had to have a member of the spa show my the gym because the person behind the desk at the spa didn't seem to care when I told her I couldn't find anything in the building. I will say the game room near the Chop House/Marsh Tavern is nice. Pretty much spent most of the time there at the fireplace while at the hotel. Also, the staff at Marsh Tavern were very nice and nice accommodating. Other than that, I don't know what Equinox really has to offer especially for it costs. Save your money at stay at the Hampton/Hilton down the street which is closer to town.

The property is dated. The bar had fruit flies flying around. The stools were worn and the bar cabinets looked dirty, chipped and worn. The Chop House was afar cry from being a highlight. The furniture was dated and the old chairs uncomfortable. The place looked more a cafeteria than a high end restuarant. Its not cheap either. The bedrooms were mediocre. We had two queens one had a new mattress quilt cover the otherone was old and you sunk in with an old flat quilt. The parking is aways from the building and I had to walk in the rain because there was no valet. Not a good buy for the money. I would not recommend it until substancial renovations are done

Lovely stay in every sense. The one exception was room temperature. It was relatively warm in Manchester and even though we set the thermostat to 65, the lowest, it was extremely warm in the room. The window opened three inches, not enough. Otherwise, fabulous from every perspective.

We had a very nive stay. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. We do wish that there were more stools at the falcon bar. It seemed there was space for them, they were just missing.

We had a great time at The Equinox! Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfy with high quality linens. We enjoyed the patio hot tub and a swim in the beautiful huge pool before dinner. Dinner at the Chop House was delicious! We both had scallops with a gourmet corn mixture that worked well. After dinner, we joined a crowd in the library and played Scrabble by a roaring fire! There were several fireplaces throughout the premises.

For the price point this hotel does not provide any amenities. No robes, slippers, fridge etc. Rooms are nice but outdated and it’s visible. Cleanliness is just average and needs way more work. If you are looking to have relaxing evening and restful sleep do not stay here. Every night guests made outrageous noise and staff would not attempt to address this. Even when past 11pm.
