The sign says free breakfast, low rates, and a pool. None of that was true! Very dirty outside in the parking lot and the hallways. Various people sitting on hood of cars, others on plastic chairs in parking lots lending an unsafe feeling. The room was, however, fairly clean.

On par with the Bates Motel
When I checked in the owner was extremely rude. There was no coffee, no breakfast, no maid service, it was noisy as hell, run down and basically unsafe. Never stay here if you can help it. I only stayed cause my son was graduating from college and the two best hotels in town were already booked.

The room had an odd smell. The bed was comfortable, but overall needs some updating/maintaining.

Older, basic hotel - had clean beds and a shower. Stayed here as it was closest to Grand Pass to duck hunt.

Quick overnight in Marshall
Bed was comfortable. A little disappointed that the breakfast was not available but for the money it was a good place to stay

Not recommended
Marshall Lodge is old and needs updating. Not very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Trash along the entrance sidewalks....bathroom was terrible, small and round toilet seat on extended toilet seat that pinched everytime sat on....we were assured of a king size bed and when we arrived none available in the whole place so we had to pay 10.00 extra to get 2 regular beds and was supposed to be non smoking room , on arrival and every time we left and came back to a smoke filled room so bad we had to use an air cleaner !! beds were clean tho!! Electrical for plugin of refrigerator and Micro wave were a "maze of connections" and wall plug didn't work!! We were quite disgusted with it as we paid more and got less!!

Needs updated
The room was overall clean but dated tremendously. The room smelled like water had been leaking in there for awhile. The price was great and the breakfast wasn’t.

Comfort is lacking.
There was no seating area in the room a chair would have been nice. The ice machine in the building did not work and there was no coffee maker in the room. The water pressure in the shower was high but it caused the floor in the bathroom to get soaked. There was no phone in the room and our keys would stop working every other try.

Sorry for the trouble.Ice Machine was broke & taken care on 2nd of this month.Phone system is mashed up & irreparable.Keys problem are due to weather . We are trying to resolve every problem.

Most disgusting place I have ever been I did not stay the night there I wouldn’t even take my shoes off in that place. This should not be on your list for hotels nasty nasty

NOT DIRTY- JUST TERRIBLE
hotel is old and worn out- beds and room looked clean- room was old and dark. bathroom light didn't even work- so not sure how they cleaned anything- light switch turns on TV and fridge- we had food in the fridge- that at some point they came in and turned light switch off- food was spoiled. 4 days- they never cleaned room once- never made beds- etc.. there was NO door hanger to ask them for privacy- so that wasn't the issue, they brought us clean towels and some "make up remover" because "obviously we needed it- because we had used a wash cloth to wash our faces and it had makeup on it" per the lady who brought towels- but never made the bed- LOL TV was a joke- about 10 of the 150 channels worked- the rest were pixilated so bad you could not see them.

Never again!
Would not stay again. Outdated and dirty. Light switch is connected to all power in the room. No covers for electrical outlets. Gap under door where outside bugs came in because door to the building was always open and no security measures in place.

Beds were very comfortable and there was an ice machine! Closest place to The Missouri State Fair on such late notice of needing a place near Sedalia. We probably would never stay there again, at least on purpose we wouldn't!

There were stains and burn marks on the bed spread. The floor needed to be vacuumed. The overall property was in bad need of cleaning and updating.

Steer Clear of the Marshall Lodge
Horrible first impression - very small lobby - drab and not appealing. Wreaked of Body Odor. Once attendant worked with me I figured out where the B.O. was coming from. Permeated the entire lobby area. Got to room -- room door was wide open - had not yet been cleaned up from previous guests. Curtains were half up half down and had holes in them. Turned around and went back to the front desk and got a refund. They did not want to refund, but eventually did. Will never, ever go here again.

The windows were dirty there were cobwebs hanging 2 bed clothes were stained refrigerator was dirty I will never stay there again and I was locked out of my room for one hour and there was a sign in the lobby be back in 5 minutes but I had to wait for one hour to get in!!!

An older motel.
Though an older motel, It was clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. It was quiet also. Not much on handicap toilets, but they accommodated us by allowing us to switch to a lower room.
