It was convenient to the location I was out. But the price I was quoted by Expedia was not honored by the hotel even though they’re 800 system had the reservation number they did not have the reservation number so they charge me additional $67.04 from the price I was quoted by Expedia still trying to get this worked out seven days later. Have not heard from the hotel or Expedia.

We had a very nice stay, the staff was extremely polite and helpful. The only thing was that the rooms were very outdated. The coffee machine didn't work, the shower curtain wouldn't close and the shower flooded the floor, and the bathroom door needed to be propped open with the trash can. Other than that, it was fine to stay there, I slept pretty well

Staff is friendly; property is significantly dated and in poor condition, with original air conditioning (more blowing fan function than air cooling}, escalator that has been out of service since our first stay there roughly two years ago. We have returned because it is convenient to the university our daughter attends, when we drive in for dorm move-in/move-out. Would not recommend unless you are prepared for convenience over quality.

Over 20 cars got their windows busted out over night. Staff was extremely unhelpful about the situation and could care less. Avoid this hotel and stay somewhere with gated parking garage. Tub was rusted and dirty as well.

Property needs updates. Escalator has not worked during multiple stays over the past year Convenient for stays to visit students at U of Memphis however not a first choice due to need for updates.

Easy to get to the zoo and the botanical gardens. Part of the campus, so educating students how to run hotels. Super nice people. No free breakfast, but a good restaurant. Beautiful old houses in the surrounding neighborhood. Easy to get to the rest of Memphis, such as downtown and Graceland.

Made reservations over 2 weeks ago and when we tried to check in they were full and turned us away. We had to try and find another hotel at 11pm on Saturday night!

The staff was nice and very polite. It was a really neat property, although it definitely shows its age. Stained carpet, ceilings, shower, toilet, and all the bathroom caulk. Room was fairly clean otherwise, but could tell the rooms could use a thorough vacuuming and dusting. Felt safe at the hotel and had no issues in the parking lot, but would not try walking anywhere. The breakfast was delicious and not at all what you would expect from a hotel. The breakfast staff were all really awesome as well. I booked through Expedia and was incredibly disappointed to discover the hotel had no pool, despite Expedia 's listing saying there was.

Room was Ok, but needs some TLC
They have dove dispensers for hand soap that were empty as well as the body wash. There was only 1 garbage can and it was in the seating area. So no garbage can in the bathroom or bed room area. Cleanses of the room was ok. The rooms are dated. There are no comforters on the bed, just sheets and a light quilted sheet.

This is a lovely, clean hotel. It was raining but there were great spots right by the door - what a relief! The staff was wonderful on our check in. LaVetra Shaw is the Front Office Manager. She was so kind and thoughtful for my mother and I checking in and made us both feel welcome. It is rare to see an employee care so much. It was a long trip on my mother and Ms. Shaw made her feel so welcome.

They will over charge you!!
Used Hotels.com rewards to pay for room, but the hotel billed separately and charged MORE than the cost of the room (despite having been paid by Hotels.com). They also charged a $100 deposit and only refunded $70. Got overcharged by over $170. Called the hotel, no answer for days and hotels.com nor corporate will help at all.

The room was great due to the size. It’s hard to find a room that fits my entire family of 6. The room was clean, but not the cleanest I’ve been too. The shower/bathroom needs to be updated. The shower was not the cleanest. There was no sheets, pillows, or blankets for the pull out couch. We went to get some and they gave us 5 sheets and nothing else. They was supposed to bring us up the blankets and never did. We also only had two towels in there and had to go get more. We would probably stay again because we felt safe there and it wasn’t the worst place we’ve ever stayed.

Wonderful employees, friendly and helpful. Property is well maintained and in safe area. Shows a bit of age but still graceful. Worst breakfast in years !!! (some sort of watery scambled eggs and dried out solid sausages :-( ). Would stay again but eat elsewhere !!

Once a comfortable place to say, now quite dated
I was there from Thursday night until early Tuesday morning. Not once was the bed made, sheets changed, bathroom cleaned or the trash cans emptied. Moreover, for a day and a half during my stay all the toilets in the hotel (including in my room) were not functional due to an issue w/the city water supply. Breakfast options limited (and mostly unhealthy); dining room freezing; printer in the guest's computer facility was non-functional as the ink cartridge needed replacement and no one was available to replace it.

They need new mattresses! Invest in quality foam. Also, the morning breakfast was good, but they need help. There was only one guy working. He could not possibly service everyone and their needs. Perhaps leave drinks, coffee out so guests can easily get these.

I stayed at this hotel for convenience and I enjoy the breakfast buffet offered. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was not given my pre-purchased ticket to breakfast for the next day. When I explored the room, there was a huge stain on the carpet between the bed and restroom door. Also, the clock and phone was not plugged up. I was disappointed that the phone jack was pushed too far into the wall to plug the cord into it. The hospitality at breakfast is/was unmatched. The hostess is pleasant and friendly.

Look elsewhere if you can pay more
Easy check in, ample parking, security and/or police cars monitoring parking lot (both alarming & comforting). Staff were all very friendly. Escalator in lobby is out of order & unsightly. Elevators & stairs are available. Plenty of space to gather in lobby. I did not try the breakfast, but friends said it seemed like reheated frozen food. Glad I only needed the room a few hours each day. Mattress was hard (not the good kind of firm). Sheets were dirty on both beds. At least one of the mattresses was stained when I checked for bed bugs (which I did not find thankfully) and the mattress cover was inside out. I used the duvet from one bed & slept on top of the other duvet so I did not have to get into the sheets. Wall outlet between beds was covered with a multiple outlet box to hide large hole around the actual outlet. The box kept falling out of the wall & everything plugged into the box fell out, so used outlets around the room instead. There was a hair stuck on the ceiling in the bathroom, chunks of dust accumulated on the ceiling vent, toilet lid had missing hinge parts, rust stains around the bathroom door frame & in shower. Holes in wallpaper where things had previously been hung on the bathroom wall. Dove products were the only nice thing. The room had an overpowering scent of air freshener at several different times like it was coming through the vent. Keys didn't work for exterior or interior doors at different times, so rekeyed at front desk several times.
