I was a guest at the Tru Hilton Downtown Milwaukee on 4/13/2024. The listed check-in time is 3:00 and we did not get access to our room until close to 5:00 and only after following up with the desk and literally sitting in front of the staff so they would not forget about us again. We booked a very overpriced room at this hotel so that we could check in between 3:00-3:30 and have time to get ready for a concert we were attending that night. By the time we got access to the room, we had to rush to get ready and were late in arriving to the concert. On Sunday morning I spoke twice to the General Manager, I believe her name was Kelly Murkal. She said she could not directly offer me compensation for the late check in because I had booked the room through Expedia but promised to reach out to Expedia the next day and would email me. It is now Friday and I have heard nothing back from her. Attempts to reach her via phone have not worked. The comment about needing to work with Expedia does not make sense since I was billed directly by the hotel. I understand that due to a concert the previous night, it was difficult to get all the rooms cleaned, however, that is not our fault. As mentioned, I was willing to pay the extremely elevated pricing so we could have time to prepare and get to the concert. I am very disappointed in the late check-in and the now apparent lack of concern of the manager to make this situation right. I would not stay at this location again for
