I always stay here when I come to Minnesota and they have yet to disappoint me enough to NOT come back. The staff is always lackluster but as long as i don’t have any trouble checking in then it doesn’t bother me. It’s affordable and clean right outside downtown.

The LivInn Hotel always impresses me. You will not find this kind of class for the price anywhere around here. It’s tucked away in a safe neighborhood. The front desk staff is outstanding! Jerome has a gift and heart for people and making them feel welcome and comfortable. Melody in management goes above and beyond for the guest experience. Even the breakfast staff glows. If you’re a long term stay, they will definitely know you by name and make you feel like royalty. This place NEVER runs out of hot water. I can take a super hot bath right after checkout and it’s endless. I won’t book a stay anywhere else in the cities. I highly recommend you try it!

The location was very convenient for us. It was about 10 or 15 minutes to every thing. Staff members were very polite and helpful. Beds were comfortable and it was quiet. We stayed in the executive suite which had a small kitchenette. They served a hot breakfast with eggs and pancakes. We will stay here again when we come back to visit. The only negatives were our particular room was over the court yard and the window covering was not sufficient to keep light out and the batheoom light was motion sensitive and took a long time to go off. I used an eye mask so it wasnt a big deal for me but my husband didnt like it. The area around the hotel felt safe and it was close to a starbucks and other stores and very easy to get to the freeway.

I would give this 5 stars except the air system in my room didn't work at all and since I checked in near midnight I was too tired to call service and do anything about it I just dealt with it and stayed in a warm room. Other than that the hotel was great and the breakfast was good. Rm 127 if looking to fix the air unit :)

I needed an economical, clean place to stay during a very hard emotional time. This place was perfect. The morning breakfast had different options each morning, and served a wider variety than most continental breakfasts. The coffee even comes with pump jugs of creamer, not those little one ouncers (so yay for anyone who uses more than 4.) and the cups are decent size as well. I've traveled a lot, and I'm not one who needs much in order to sleep, shower, and sh*t. I've stayed at some really skeptical places that "show up in movie scenes," to give you perspective. LOL The rooms were clean and safe enough; just made sure door was securely locked at all times. It appears as though this hotel is a temporary home for some people. Someone was being dropped off by Lyft as I was checking in; their earthly possessions being unloaded into the lobby. Once, I was startled by someone banging loudly, forcefully, and for about 30 seconds, down the hall from me, because they'd been locked out and wanted into the room, yelling, "Let me in!!" The entrance doors around the building are all "secured," meaning, a law abiding person needs a key card to enter. However, the door I used had been in some type of "accident" and didn't fit securely in the door jamb, making this particular door a perfect entry for a non-law-abiding person to slip in without a key card. Needless to say, the hotel could use a little beefing up on the outside doors. I'd stay again.

The staff is unbeatable! I always book here when I’m in Mpls. From the front desk to the morning breakfast gal, everyone goes above and beyond to make my stay extremely comfortable. It’s clean and quiet. You can’t beat it for the price.

I've been coming to this hotel for about 15 years and boy has it gone downhill. I used to come here for the pristine clean rooms which are now full of mold peeling wallpaper and dirty carpet. ISH

It was renovated just last year. It has all new everything. We work very hard to make sure the hotel is well maintained and clean.
