Vistas inmejorables desde tus ventanas
Pueblo agradable, hotel situado justo al final, así q es la zona más tranquila, la mejor en el pueblo. Habitación con vistas espectaculares. Debes dejar el coche a unos 15min de entrar al pueblo. La pega que vimos es q hacia mucho calor en la habitación y no se podía dormir sin poner el aire acondicionado (y el aire era ruidoso) .

En el interior de la ciudad antigua hotel muy bien adaptado , bonito y con un buen desayuno. Por contra , no tiene parking y el acceso es algo incómodo .

It's a nice hotel but not accessible. There are many stairs to get around the hotel with no lift and the walkways inside the town consist of slippery stones and many stairs as well. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The WiFi didn't work most of the three days we stayed there and nobody at the hotel knew why it wouldn't work. Parking is a bit of a hassle because you can't drive to the hotel so you have to find parking along the road outside the castle walls or park in a parking lot on the other side of the bridge and it's about a 20 walk uphill unless you can find a shuttle for 2 euros per person or find a taxi which there were not many of. Expedia also provided a receipt saying my hotel was prepaid and the only money owning was 9 euros for taxes, however Expedia did not charge my card (which was originally quoted in CAD) so I had to pay the hotel in Euros so the cost ended up being quite a bit more since it wasn't at the originally exchange rate that I had booked at. Apparently the hotel is aware of this problem and it happens to all their bookings with Expedia so I want overly impressed that it's a known issue that they aren't working to correct. Overall it was a nice stay even though there were a few hiccups.

Jimmy at the front was very friend as was Dousa (sp?) who made a wonderful breakfast wvery morning. The gentleman in the snack/coffee bar also makes wonderful smoothies. The views from the hotel are incredible. Staying inside the castle walls is definitely memorable -I will be back.

Magical! Stay in the castle. It is an experience like no other. Great breakfast with eggs, sausage, yogurt and baked treats. Everyone was so cheerful and helpful. Only downside was the parking. Even off season, it was quite a distance and you carry your luggage over cobblestones inside castle. There re numerous steps to navigate BUT. We’ll worth the effort.

Cozy little hotel on the quiet side of Monemvasia
The hotel is situated at the very end of the town, away from the busy little streets at the beginning near the entrance gate. Very quiet both during the day and night. Because it is at the end of the town, it is quite a walk over the cobble stones with your suitcases, so pack light! Our room was nice and cozy. We had a standard room with sea view which was amazing. The shower is pretty small and has a shower curtain which will stick to your body no matter what, a shower door would be nice, but I understand they have to work with limited space in the classic building. The breakfast was very nice, lots of different options of both mainstream and typical Greek. The breakfast however is indoors on the first floor. I initially thought we could have breakfast outside under the olive trees because of the pictures. However, this is a little cafe where you can have a drink and snack with view of the town and sea. This didn't lessen our experience though because the breakfast room was still lovely. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Monemvasia.

Monemvasia is magical, such an amazing place to visit. Bastione Malvasia was a great place to stay within the walls of the village. The room was comfortable and the view was outstanding. Morning breakfast provided by the hotel was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Infested with Woodlice!
I appreciate the location of this hotel but to have over 200 dead and alive woodlouse in your room is not acceptable. It was infested! Upon arrival we were shown our room and the man just kicked the dead ones aside and shrugged his shoulders. It was like the room had never been swept. They were in the bed, towels EVERYWHERE! The breakfast was poor, worse than any I have experienced in my 30 years of travelling to Greece. There was a slight confusion at check out and the way it was dealt with was atrocious. The man at reception was nothing short obnoxious. Location is great but I would avoid at all costs.

Bastione Malvasia is a good hotel in Monemvasia. The property is at the end of township and has lots of character, but is a little tired. The included breakfast was great. The only thing lacking was tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Pros: Location and Monemvasia Castle is amazing Cons: Nobody will help with the luggage( in the hotel also to the room) Room was dirty Room needs reifurbishment in all furniture beds and for sure the bathroom. The bathroom is unaceptable in this price. Black mold , spiders , and other crawling insects. Towels need replacement Bed sheets are worned out

This hotel is part of the Monemvasia castle. We had the room at the top, it was small but very comfortable with a master bedroom and two kids beds in an attic. It was cozy, safe, clean and a lifetime experience. Wonderful !

The hotel is perched on the side of the cliff overlooking the ocean which is just idyllic. The room was a good size and very comfortable, with a small fridge, air conditioning and small but ample bathroom. Didn’t have the breakfast. All staff were lovely and helpful. There’s a bar adjoining with tables and chairs outside overlooking the ocean.

Great place, bad management.
Facilities were great. Beautiful houses, room and view. But there were some things we could not enjoy. The ownwe was staring at my wife as we were waiting to get a cup of tea in the evening. The room was downgraded to a smaller room due to a double booking. We were not allowed to use the outside table for breakfast although no one used them. The staff was very nice and service minded. Trying to make the best out of the rule of the tables outside. Arranged another place for us to sit outside. (We did not come from Stockholm to Greece, to sit inside when the sun was warming.)

Good choice for romantic and unique stay
The hotel is built from renovated stone buildings within the old Byzantine city. The rooms are small but comfortable, with modern conveniences like A/C. Breakfast was good with a variety of hot and cold options. Only negative was a strange smell in the bathroom, which was fine when we kept the door closed, but we didn’t feel comfortable drinking the water and had to buy bottles from the room downstairs.

end of the road and worth the walk!
Bastione Malvasia is an amazing property in a magical place. Beautiful pristine rooms have architectural elements of the historic town, comfortable beds, international TV and all the little comforts that make a stay nice. Breakfast is delicious with many options, and service is always top-notch. The hotel is the very last property on the east end of the rock, right up next to the far eastern wall of Lower Town, making a stay here private and quiet. While this makes the walk from the gate to the hotel the longest, it really isn't far and the walk is too charming to dislike. However we did not realize that our car would be not only outside the town's gate but almost back to the causeway in single file day tripper parking along the side of the road. While this is free (provided someone is leaving and opens up a space) we were leaving almost all of our belongings (for a month in Greece) in our car to make a light load to the hotel, and we were concerned about the lack of security and convenient access. The hotel has no play in parking, as all hotels have the same situation, but we didn't realize it at booking and want to pass a cautionary note to anyone who needs access to their car. There was no issue when we returned at the end of our stay, and the narrow road and constant traffic may be security features in themselves. We were thrilled to have so thoroughly enjoyed Monemvasia and our wonderful stay and have no issue in departing. Definitely recommend!

Déçu par rapport aux photos
Notre chambre double standard (numéro 4) nous a déçu par rapport aux photos et au descriptif annoncé. Sa superficie est d’abord largement inférieure aux 20m2 prévus, même en comptant la salle de bains (minuscule) et la terrasse extérieure. Le lit double, très peu large, est collé à l’angle du mur ; il est donc inconfortable pour deux personnes. Les oreillers sont plus que fatigués : il nous a fallu les plier en deux pour en augmenter un peu l’épaisseur. Le lit n’était pas correctement fait à notre arrivée (drap non mis). La salle de bains est très petite et très basse de plafond. Le chauffe eau doit être allumé 15 minutes avant chaque douche. L’une des deux serviettes utilisées n’a pas été changée. La climatisation est bruyante. Les meubles et la décoration sont vieillottes. Le personnel ne s’est pas montré particulièrement chaleureux, les échanges ont été très limités. Points positifs : la terrasse est agréable, l’emplacement (au bout de la rue principale) permet d’être au calme (mais longue marche à prévoir avec les valises, et indications peu évidentes pour trouver la réception). Le petit déjeuner était bon, et la vue depuis le bar de l’hôtel magnifique. Notre déception aurait, en conclusion, sans doute été moindre si l’annonce et les photos n’enjolivaient pas la réalité. Un petit effort sur l’accueil et quelques améliorations simples dans les chambres pourraient suffire à faire de cet hôtel un lieu de séjour bien plus appréciable.

Το ξενοδοχείο είναι σε ήσυχο μέρος της Καστροπολιτείας, έχει εκπληκτική θέα στη θάλασσα. Το προσωπικό είναι πολύ ευγενικό, το πρωινό πλούσιο και με προϊόντα καλής ποιότητας. Τέλος, πολύ καλό το στρώμα και τα μαξιλάρια.
