Best Time!
This is the second time my sister and I have come to visit the cabin and it’s always a treat! They’ve renovated the bathroom and the shower is brand new and beautiful. We loved our every second of our trip, from baking in the lovely little kitchen to sleeping to the sounds of crickets and frogs outside. I can’t wait to come back again soon!

laid back
We just spent a wonderful week fishing off the dock and enjoying the local tulip festival, this cabin was exactly what we were hoping for. Upon arrival it was clean and well stocked, it is a spacious cabin that instantly felt like home with wonderful art on the walls and a truly sublime tiled shower. The deck was amazing, fitted with a hot tube for relaxing and a dock for fishing. We really could not have asked for a better cabin or hosts, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Relaxing birthday weekend
The Mountain Springs Cabin was an amazing space to celebrate my birthday. My partner, pup and I loved relaxing in the cabin, playing horseshoe, and exploring the pond. We definitely would love to come back!

Lives up to its 5 star rating
We had a beautiful, relaxing time. Enjoyed every second. Very clean and comfortable. The pond is gorgeous. We saw fish jumping. Ducks swimming around. Few humming birds.

Quiet, Relaxing Staycation Away from the City
My partner, myself and our two black labs left the hustle and bustle of Tacoma for a peaceful, quiet getaway. This did not disappoint! The cabin was the perfect size for us, and it was so quiet and relaxing. We felt like we had our own space we could relax into, and our dogs had so much fun swimming and playing in the water. The welcome bottle of wine in the fridge was such a nice, personal touch and overall the accommodations were perfect. We will definitely be coming back!

Magical Weekend
The layout of the cabin is perfect for 2 adults and one child. We arrived to a bottle of chilled Cranberry Wine and coffee beans which are my two favorite things. The place is clean, and the dog could join us. We were in the hot tub each day and took a long walk around the area. Quiet and idyllic spot. We are planning on a return stay.

Perfect Escape
This was exactly the short escape we needed! We spent two days in the hot tub, playing cards, and just relaxing. The cabin had everything we needed, and we can’t wait to come back!

Excellent Property
We loved our stay here. The location is excellent, the cabin is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Our dog loved running in the yard and swimming in the pond. The hot tub was a great bonus on the cool evenings. The owners were very responsive and excellent hosts! Would love to stay here again!

Incredible R&R getaway
A sign above the door to the patio overlooking the pond states "Home Away From Home." The cabin is exactly that. The comforts & amenities of home surrounded by nature, peace & tranquility. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware & spices. The couches & beds are comfortable. Being pet friendly, you do see an intermittent animal hair, BUT I was very pleasantly surprised not to see more. Very clean property. The hot tub on the patio overlooking the pond was my favorite place to spend watching the morning sunrise & star gazing at night. I don't believe one could ever regret staying at this cozy gem. I'm already trying to figure out when my husband & I can come back for a quick getaway!

Home Away From Home
We love this cozy cabin! We came here 3 years ago for our honeymoon and loved how peaceful and cozy it is. SO..every January for our anniversary we’ve made it a tradition to come back. It does feel like our home away from home!

This cabin is one of our favorite among others. Check in and out was a breeze. I’m surprised how it’s well provided with all necessities (and beyond) we would ever need! Well maintained property and a picturesque scenery makes us don’t want to leave. We also do appreciate the beverage gift left for us by property owner. Definitely will come back again.

Awesome place!
This is one of the best VRBO places I have stayed! The location is perfect, it’s quiet and a great place to relax, while still being within driving distance of stores and attractions. The home is very well kept, it has everything you could need for your stay, aside from food. The bed is comfortable, there are plenty of towels and linens if you plan to stay for the week, plus there is onsite laundry if needed. The lake and its turquoise color is serene, it was difficult for me to take my eyes off it from the moment I woke up. Be warned, it is an extreme shock to the body when jumping in as it is very cold, but the hot tub is right there to welcome you when you get out. The dog did not mind the cold water, in fact, spent a good portion of our trip in the lake, he was a sad boy on checkout day. John and Mary are wonderful hosts and quick to respond. Due to a force of nature, the internet was not working, small snafu, but Mary and John were on it, and though they were unable to rectify the problem, they did make up for it. I would highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

This cabin was perfect for my husband and myself. We loved the games and spending time on the deck. The beds, pillows and bedding were all clean and comfy. The hosts were fast to respond and even let us check in a bit early :) we would stay here again.

Great home away from home
What a great trip and great place to stay! My wife and I went to hike the Cascades but wanted to stay in a town that had restaurants and breweries so we chose Mount Vernon! This quiet, cozy little cabin exceeded our expectations. We were impressed with how clean and secluded it was. The hot tub was a must after long days of hiking! Thank you for a successful stay a once in a lifetime trip!

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing
This is our second year in a row staying at the cabin for our anniversary and we have been blessed to have the best weather each year. The cabin is secluded but close to town if you need something, however, we make one trip to Hagens and then settle in for our stay because you won't want to leave. The cabin is fully furnished with anything you may need or want. The grounds are nicely maintained and the beautiful blue water is breathtaking. They recently updated the upstairs shower and it is fabulous. We both agree that staying here is not only the most relaxing vacation ever, but it is good for the soul. We will be back for sure.

Slice of Heaven
This is a very special property. It’s even prettier than the photos. The pond is more like a small lake and is gorgeous. There is nothing rustic about the cabin. The owners have paid attention to every detail and provided everything necessary to have fun and comfort. Book it. You won’t be disappointed.

A Fun, Relaxing Week
This cabin is great for getting away from it all and just relaxing. It has a secluded feel that is still close enough to town if you need something. We brought our two labs along and they were either swimming, exploring the grounds, or sleeping from all the fun they were having. We had a campfire in the fire pit almost every night and even made a stew over the fire one day. John and Mary were so accommodating. They provide so many little things to make your stay easier. We had such a great time, we hope to make it back next year. Thank you John and Mary!

Tired kid, tired dog!
This was exactly what our family was looking for… a place to be together, have fun, relax and laugh. All without having to leave our canine family member, Rosie the Labrador, behind! I’m so grateful for places like this that allow us to make vacation memories that include her. This was a very comfortable cabin with tons of thoughtful details that helped to make our time there so fun. Puzzles, games (inside and out), extra blankets and towels, dog bowls (we forgot ours!) and poop bags. Super comfy bed! Beautiful deck! Helpful notes and hints! :) Wonderful, top to bottom, inside and out.

Best Cabin in WA
Back again after our first stay two years ago. This place remains the same in a great way! We got to make more memories thanks to John and Mary. They accommodate everything that you would need for your stay which is so helpful in relaxing and spending more time in the awesome swimming hole and hot tub. This cabin is so worth it and I'm looking forward to coming back here in the future.

Your own private Cabin!
My family and I had a wonderful time here. Super private, clean, and lovely. Groceries are close by, and easy getting to and from Anacortes for hiking and beach time. We cooked most of our meals here and made great use of the BBQ grill. The Hot tub was also fantastic to relax, and look at the starry sky! John and Mary are great hosts :) you will not be disappointed with this gem of a property!

Home away from home
My granddaughter had fun swimming and on the floatables we brought and discovering huckleberries. We were disappointed that we could not fish. We were able to fish last time. The place is very nice inside and out.

Sorry we have changed our fishing guidelines. We find that fishing during the warm summer months stresses the fish. They are often killed after being caught even though they are released carefully. Fishing is best from October through March when the air and water temperatures are cooler.

Best dogcation spot
This was our 2nd visit to this lovely cabin. It is simply the very best rental if you have dogs or kids who love to swim. Our yellow lab was either swimming or sleeping the entire visit. The cabin is well equipped and just perfect for a relaxing vacation. We have already booked a return visit for next year.

More than what we hoped for

LOVELY LOVELY LOVELY
I stayed for 4 nights with my husband and two dogs, we initially had plans to explore and visit all around Washington as we stayed there, but as we pulled up, we immediately looked at one another and said we weren’t going anywhere. We bought a lot of groceries at the cutest store down the road with a ton of local products and just enjoyed the most peaceful scenery and sounds. Hosts were wonderful and kind, left great information all around the home so that we didn’t have any questions. Super clean, bed is very comfortable, they provided so many fun things for the cabin’s pond. I will be returning again and again!

So relaxing....and beautiful
I took my 86 yr old dad (w onset dementia and a permanent bladder catheter), my Shepard and his Pomeranian. At home, dad takes alot of naps. I'm always trying to get him up and moving. He usually declines if I suggest a getaway however I convinced him this time. We live 3 hours away and the traffic was horrible,however, the stress went away as soon as we drove in the driveway.Dad was in charge of the fire pit. He really enjoyed sitting by it and he actually sat on the paddleboard with me in the pond! This was an awesome memory for us.I truly appreciate that John and Mary have been so gracious to share their property. It is very special and the check in process from start to end was seamless.Thank you for everything!

A little slice of paradise
Gorgeous property, easy to get to, and better than the pictures. The cabin itself is very well maintained and has every you need. The back deck is awesome and hot tub is great, too! The pond is beautiful and boy there are some big trout in there! Feeding them and watching them jump was a lot of fun. We never left the property during our stay and totally relaxed. Our 1-year old golden retriever had the time of his life. We also enjoyed using the paddle board too! Quite a lot of nature at your back door. Deer, ducks, fish, and other birds were everywhere. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to visiting again in the future.
