Nice getaway

Christmas at the Cabin

WAS A GREAT VACATION
THE DECK HAD SOME NAIL HEADS THAT ARE STICKING UP. THE OUTLET'S IN LIVING ROOM AND BEDROOM PULGS WILL NOT STAY IN, AND THE LIVING ROOM OUTLET GET HOT WHEN THE HEATER IS ON. (could be fire hazard) THE COUCH WAS UP AGAINST THE WALL BLOCKING THE RETURN AIR VENT FOR AC, THE KICTEN FLOOR HAS A CHUNK OF WOOD MISSING FROM THE FLOOR AND LUCKLY I HAD ON SOCKS, BUT IT DID CATCH THE SOCK AND RIPPED IT. MIGHT WANT TO FILL THAT IN WITH SOMTHING. ANTS ALL OVER THE KITCHEN. LOOKED UNDER THE BED AND THAT HAD NOT BEEN VACUUMED IN AWHILE. OVER ALL IT WAS GREAT TIME AND A GREAT CABIN, WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

The pictures do not do it justice, it's a Beautiful place and we did enjoy our stay. loved the picnic table on the porch, and listening to the waterfall by the road, all in all it was a good trip.

Great spot for a quiet weekend
Loved the cabin, the neighborhood is super quiet, has a lovely stream flowing through and a deck area for you to enjoy. The only thing that def needs changing is the mattress. It needs to be replaced. Not comfortable and the egg carton foam topper just makes it more squishy and sunken. If the bed was replaced I would def stay again. Everything else was perfect 😍

Great stay in Murphy.
This is our third stay at this cabin and it won't be our last. The cabin is very quaint, clean, quiet, and well stocked. The creek and small waterfall next to the cabin add a lot of charm and the surrounding grounds are beautiful.

Cozy Cabin
Cute cozy cabin in Murphy, NC at a great location. Very easy to get to Blueridge, GA; Chattanooga, TN; and driving throughout the Great Smoky Mountains. Lovely cabin decor throughout the cabin with a brand-new sofa and matching chair in the living room. Nice large patio set outside on a large deck to enjoy grilling dinner while listening to the sounds of rippling water from the small little waterfall at the edge of the property. Wonderful host to accommodate all your needs. Always enjoy my stay here at the Bear Necessity!

Perfect getaway in a peaceful setting
This is our 2nd time staying here. It’s so quiet, relaxing, and surrounded by nature. The water running right by the house is an amazing way to unwind. It has all we need for a way to escape the real world. If you have dogs, they will love it. Large park Accross the street to let them run. We will be back later this year.

Charming Cabin
Perfect, quiet place to enjoy nature and the beauty of the Smokey Mountains. Wonderful porch and deck area. Porch has a cool breeze come through even on the warmest days. Private little waterfall you can hear from the deck. Easy to get to in a beautiful small, private neighborhood. Stunning park with catch and release fishing and picnic area just yards up the street. There is also a gorgeous area across the street which is part of the property to walk through and see the river. (That seating area and steps down to river were not useable when we were there), but still enjoyable to view.

Very homey place. All we needed. Clean and remote but in a neighborhood with veey large properties and low vehicle traffic. Some reviews complain about beds or couch but everyone likes things differently. I had no issues and Kirby even replaced the couch while we were there!! Great location.

Beautiful Cabin
We loved our stay in this cabin. The place is gorgeous with abundant native birds delighting us with their singing. A snapping turtle came to visit us. The creek sound was so relaxing. But what got us very impressed was the hundreds and hundreds of fireflies that were there during our last night. We were so delighted that we didn’t want to go inside though we had to, at some point. The cabin is beautiful, and includes everything you need in the kitchen or bathroom. It's super clean, and beautifully decorated. However, we think it needs a new mattress in the bedroom downstairs ASAP, and, the sofa/futon in the living room is extremely uncomfortable. Other than that, we were very pleased with everything else. We will be happy to return soon. Laz and Milca from Florida

The Preserve
Log sided wood cabin in a lovely, quiet setting. As a senior, we didn’t do a lot of hiking or adventure things, so we primarily stayed in the cabin and read or watched tv. The seat and futon provided in the living room were very uncomfortable and the internet was weak. When heavy rains saturate the ground, you get a strong sewage smell. Birds abound and the stars at night were fantastic!

Excellent stay but with needed improvement
The cabin was wonderful in terms of cleanliness, quietness, size, and location. The only constructive criticism that I would offer is that the cushions in the couch and chair in the den need replacing badly. The mattress on the master bed also needs replacement immediately. The couch, chair, and mattress are very uncomfortable. Our stay was for a week and the sitting and sleeping conditions really took a toll on us. These items need immediate attention in my opinion.

Wonderful property and excellent location
We enjoyed our stay immensely. While this cabin wasn’t fancy or hugely appointed with luxury items, it is a tremendous value. The cabin has all the amenities that you need. Heat works great. Washer and dryer are fine. Enough plates, silverware, and cooking utensils to cook what you normally would have at home m For the cost, we will do this again. Btw the location is extremely nice when it snows

This is our second stay there, we enjoy the cabin & location. Our only complaint is the coach and bed need to be updated. Both are very uncomfortable. The bed makes it hard to get a good night sleep.

Christmas in a Cozy Cabin
I have to say this was above expectations! Cutest cabin ever! Very neat and clean. Also had everything we needed to make a full Christmas dinner! The owners were very kind. Even went to make sure the cabin was warm and water was working before we checked in! My family really enjoyed this Christmas and we hope to definitely go back in the summer!

Great cabin, needs a few updates
Great location, nice property with little babbling brook, nicely decorated, clean. Needs a few upgrades. Bed and livingroom funiture not comfortable. and some minor creature comforts would help, like board games or somewhere to set luggage in the bedroom. Lastly, very small water heater. Water runs cold in 5 min, so not ideal for multiple people needing shower in the am.
