I didn't like it because I chose the wrong reservation and I ended up in the founders' area. I asked to change it but it wasn't possible, so I didn't like it, a lot of noise, fights and a bad atmosphere.

to start things off there are very rude people that live at the hotel and are continuously arguing and screaming at eachother. the pool was closed and out of season which was not made known before arrival or booking. the front desk lady was my favorite part, she was amazing, kind, and very hard working! the rooms were disgusting. the toilet had not been cleaned properly, the room looked like it had not been swept in quite awhile, the bathroom smelled like pee, the bathroom vent was caked with dust and did not work properly, there was hair in the shower from the previous guest, there was no toilet paper prior to checking in, the only plus about the room was that it was cheap and the beds were comfortable. the elevator was sketchy and dirty, but the stairs were good. the lobby wasn’t the cleanest. the hotel it’s self was not inviting at all and basically like a high rise trailer park. very ghetto and on the south side so not the best choice. i do not recommend anyone staying here unless it’s a last resort. if they had more staff and housekeepers this hotel could have so much more potential. i give my stay a solid 3/10:))

The room smelled like an ashtray!!!! We booked a non-smoking room and everything in the room smelled like cigarettes. The paint on the walls was dirty and it was also peeling. There were black spots on the ceiling. The bathroom was dirty. There was hair in the sink and there was toothpaste on the faucet when we arrived. The towels and washcloths were worn thin. The window in the room was also cracked.

Studio 6 Hotel Myrtle Beach South Carolina
The room was different than the one I originally reserved. The room I was given a room key to for my one night stay was a double bed and there was not good ventilation in the room so I had to sleep with the window open which was unsafe.

Harassment by the Receptionist
The evening receptionist is not a nice person. I have my daughter who is 2 and my cousin who is 16 staying in the room with me and this evening receptionist stopped us as we were leaving the hotel to go out and asked who was staying in the room. I told her it was the three of us. She asked my cousin for her ID. I told the receptionist she doesn't have one; she just turned 16. She said, "well she looks like an adult." I was very taken back by this comment and her attitude was uncalled for. I told her again that she is 16. After she finished harassing us, I went outside, and another customer who overheard the conversation told me sorry that she shouldn't have talked to me the way she did. He told me she is always harassing someone.

We are sorry to hear that you felt harassed, The room was rented by a third party and was rented for 1 adult and 1 child. All guests must be registered at the front desk. For the safety of all we have a record of all people in the hotel. When we get multiple guest complaints about noise we are going to be sure everyone is accounted for.

This is one of the worst places I have ever stayed. I was supposed to stay for two weeks, but checked out after the first night. There were dirty handprints on the walls in the bathroom. There were dirty dog footprints around the bathroom door. The refrigerator was rusty. The bed was uncomfortable. The hallways smelled from the food that people were cooking and were always noisy. It was very dirty all around. I did not feel safe there. Never again!

Hair in the beds from previous stayers, walls are cracked and ripping, floors disgusting (must wear shoes the whole time), rooms stink. We literally had a 2 day reservation and ended it within hours.

Cockroaches
As soon as we checked in we found a Cockroach crawling on the door. After smashing it and washing my hands in the sink with dawn dish soap they provided, I looked up and seen cockroach eggs on the vent hood for the stove. Thank God we did not sit or have our luggage or ourselves in that room for more than 30 seconds. Remember the motel 6 motto “we leave the light on for you”. That’s because they want to keep the cockroaches hidden!

The property was conveniently placed, close to all attractions. However the upkeep was minimal. The rooms were not in the best shape with pain chipping, railings showing on the bed, grime around the outside base of the tub. It was just a basic room. In which I knew I paid for but expected it to be kept a little better
