For the whole 15 minutes that we managed to endure at this property there was a list of things wrong the size of my arm. Firstly, I wouldn’t have booked if it hadn’t of advertised a bath in my room, for such a cheap price I booked it. Didn’t have bath in my room or anywhere in the hotel. In fact they only provided a sink in the room, ick straight away. Second, it was absolutely freezing and the heater wouldn’t work so we rang reception straight away and the receptionist who looked like a Keith and responded to it bassically jogged to our room to try fix that problem, however he couldn’t so moved us to another room, which gave me a rash and my friend an asthma attack so we had to leave promptly nd waste another amount of money of another room at travel lodge up the road! Paid £52 for the worst 15 mins of our life! To top it off when you eventually got to the toilets after the long ass walk from your room you had to wait for a green light to enter for it to be ajazzed up porta loo! Really not impressed and want my money back! So much noise from students to top it off doors didn’t close and lock properly. Proper hostel horror vibes! Would not recommend.

It clearly states on all booking platforms that the showed and toilets are shared it has photos of the rooms As for noise it is a hotel and the noise was not excessive.

Metro inn review
Staff are lovely & welcoming Stayed a few times now although last time. I stayed in room 109 it wasn’t very warm through the night although all other rooms I’ve stayed in have been nice and warm not sure what the cause was

Cheap, but you get what you pay for (basic amenities and shared toilets/showers down corridor). Kettle not working on arrival, but staff was very helpful and quick to replace.

The toilets and showed are cleaned daily more than once. The bedding was not dirty the room was cleaned and clean bedding The heating is not make shift and the heaters soon warm the room. At no point did you bring any issues to the attention of the staff as I’m sure if you had dirty bedding you wouldn’t have slept in it and would have informed the staff.

You won't get any cheaper for a room for the night, great if you drive as 10mins to city centre, only negative is mattresses aren't very comfortable. But for the price you cant complain

The location was good and thats about as good as it got. The room is very very basic with no kettle in the room. The bed was shocking it was clean but very lumpy due to the springs being gone.would i stay here again NOT A CHANCE.

sorry you didn't enjoy your stay our double plus rooms have tea making facilities, there is also a guest kitchen where you can make tea/offee. if you had of spoken to reception they would have moved you rooms

Cheap n cheerful
Everything in the hotel is basic. It goes with the price. Bathroom are separated from the bedroom We had to walk to the end of a long corridor to reach toilet n shower. Not the cleanest either. Ok for a night or 2.

Sorry you were disappointed with your stay It does clearly state that toilets and showers are not in the rooms These are cleaned several times through out the day and night

Great value for money
I will get the only negative thing out of the way, you don't have a toilet/ shower in your room. they are shared facility at the start of the corridor. First time in years I have not had en-suite, it wasn't the end of the world but it was a bit strange. The room was very clean as was all the public spaces, it looks as if has just been done up. The bed was comfortable and there was a bit of space in the room. It is next to a Toby pub, so we went there for dinner and for breakfast. It is very near to a Metro station so easy to get about. A good place to leave your bag and to rest your head once you have had a night out in Newcastle.

Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay unfortunately there's nothing we can do about the stairs, the hotel was busy that night and no ground floor rooms available The toilets and showers are cleaned on a regular basis.

This place is basically a homeless shelter door repaired where people had broke in poor quality shared toilets i drove 160 miles rather than stay here they are housing homeless council contract not worth 35 should be around 10 dont stay here

Fantastic stay
I stayed here with my friend for the weekend as we were attending a concert in Sunderland. The staff were very friendly, room was clean as were the facilities. The location was also perfect as only 12 minute walk to the metro where you can explore Newcastle and surrounding areas.

There were no plants, flowers or kettles in the room like the photos show. There are no bathrooms in the rooms so, I would suspect this is more of a hostel that hotel. Bathrooms were smelly, rooms were dusty and the mirrors hadn’t been cleaned. Party goer’s we’re up till 6am with music blaring and hearing the staff knock of their door to turn it down multiple times so sleep wasn’t great but other than that… ..Staff were lovely and very friendly.

The rooms with kettles etc are the double plus rooms you booked a basic triple room. None of our rooms have bathrooms in them and this is clearly stated on all websites/booming platforms The bathrooms are cleaned daily and checked regularly.

I should laugh really at your review when actually you left your room in such a disgusting state a sink filled to the brim with vomit the smell was so bad even you couldn’t sleep in it and took your bedding and slept in the floor in your mates room. So I’m guessing you’ve been told your barred by Expedia which is why the review.

I was in a room on the ground floor of a "hotel" that can only be described as a drug and alcohol recovery centre. I was woken up every hour, most notably from people being thrown out from the property or banging on doors/fighting. The locking mechanism was damaged on my door and had been been forced before. That added to the anxiety of the night.

Sorry you had a bad experience during your stay. I can assure you it is not usually like that Friday was a bad night that isn’t the normal If you had have spoken to reception they could have moved you rooms.

your review fails to mention that you are barred from the property due to the state the room was left in not to mention issues with other guests on both your previous stays

There was a fight between guests during stay and seriously nightmares at midnight polices were call to clear the problem but guest who were involve still making noise with no respect the other guests at all. No explanation or any comment on this but will be never be back and recommend to stay. I am personally easy person but this one far too be minimum
