Beautiful setting, extremely quiet, no frills but very tidy, smelled clean, everything worked, great shower. Quite cozy (i.e., small) room, but o.k. for a single overnight. Only complaint was a very squeaky spot in the floor. Safety plus: fire sprinklers in the room as well as in the halls and stairs. Would be pleased to stay there again.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at the Paddle Wheel Inn. The Inn was clean and the staff were lovely. It was located beside the river and is very picturesque, there is a lovely outside seating area right next to the river. I was extremely impressed and will certainly stay there again when in the area.

Check in was quick and easy. We were upgraded at no additional cost. When we had problems with the TV remote it was handled quickly and courteously. Rooms were ample size and beds were very comfortable. There is a restaurant right next door which is great if you want to partake.

It's a comfortable property. We have actually stayed twice, this most recent trip we felt our hallway smelled like someone had been smoking. Last time and on another floor we didn't experience this and had no issues, so overall recommend this property. A good value and a pretty area.

Rustic Hotel-Pleasant Surprise
Big value in a small town near lakes of northwestern Illinois. This was a last minute reservation when other plans fell through. Found it pleasant and peaceful after a stressful time. Rustic but in the right way.

$100 room that cost $180. No breakfast available, just coffee. Parking was shared between the hotel and two large restaurants (that were not open for breakfast) On the whole, the stay was fine, but way too expensive for that area.

Hotel was clean and well maintained around the property, the balcony's were great they overlooked the river which was beautiful. There are two restaurants right next door so you don't need to leave the property just relax and enjoy the stress free environment.

Great location! No breakfast or extra amenities! Good sized room with Great view of the River and Black Hawk statue! Older property that had been renovated a while back! Room was very clean!

We took the Signature Room overlooking the river. It was worth the money we paid: niice big bed on first floor and jetted tub. There were also comfy chairs. Only a few negatives -- The air conditioning went on and off so we were hot. We looked onto the boat launch. I would have preferred the river with no obstructions. The jets could have been cleaned better. But it was a very nice large room. Oregon is a lovely area in Illinois. The staff was nice. Oh, no complumentary breakfast but coffee in the lobby whenever you like.

A great place to stay.
The town of Oregon and surrounding area is beautiful and the Paddle Wheel Inn was the ideal and affordable place for us to stay once again. The room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We opted for a small room since we didn't spend much time there so it worked out fine for our needs. I did appreciate having coffee available in the lobby and because of the refrigerator in the room we were able to eat breakfast there. We will be back.
