Hermoso hotel ubicado en un area entre Polignano a mare y San Vito. Gran opcion si se cuenta con auto. El hotel tiene estacionamiento. El edificio es muy moderno, todo impecable y limpio. La atencion de los dueños es excelente. Atentos a los detalles. El departamento que nos toco muy lindo y comodo. Con un balcon para desayunar a la mañana o una terraza segun la temperatura que haga y el desayuno es muy importante!!! Todo casero. Mariella y Emilio gracias!! hicieron que nuestra estadia sea perfecta. Lo super recomiendo

Excelente opción para una visita a la región
Muy bien. Emilio es excelente anfitrión, preocupado por todos los detalles. Al día siguiente, el desayuno fue también excelente. El lugar es muy calmado y la habitación está bien insonorizada de tal forma que no se escucha el ruido de la autostrada.

Mariella was a superb host that went above and beyond our expectations. She made amazing breakfasts and adapted skillfully for our dairy allergy so we didn’t even notice that a huge component of the normal breakfast menu was off limits. The breakfasts were a beautiful taste of the foods of the area and Puglia, and varied daily. She even had vegan croissants available for us every morning!! The food was so fresh, local, and tasty and lovingly prepared for us. It was actually some of the best food we had during our whole stay in Italy, and the fact it was included in our stay was an amazing value! The room and facilities were extremely clean and the bed comfortable. She gave recommendations on the best dining and destinations in the area. We HIGHLY recommend this property as long as you have a car, because it is outside town. It is a quick 5-10 minute drive to Polignano and within 30-60 minutes of numerous destinations, we couldn’t have picked a better base for exploring Puglia. It was nice that it’s outside the hustle and bustle of the town, it was quiet and peaceful, surrounded by countryside and ancient olive trees. We really can’t wait to go back to stay at the Casale Porta Contessa! It was one of the best experiences of our whole trip!

Good place outside Polignano a Mare
When we planned our 1st time trip to Puglia, we wanted a place that could serve as basecamp for driving to other cities & towns in the region, so we chose Polignano a Mare to be that place. This is rustic-style property, not centric, but located about 2 miles from the hearth of Polignano a Mare. When we checked-in we realized that the standard unit we have booked would be very tight for 4 adults, so we asked about the possibility of upgrading & paying for the difference to a larger unit, which the hosts nicely managed to accommodate, based on availability for the following day. The apartment was clean, functional & quiet, with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1 small kitchen area, and a bunk bed for 2 people. The location is not ideal as it is outside the center of the city, which has a lot to offer in terms of cafes, dining, shops & sightseeing. The mini-split A/C unit is installed on one wall of the bedroom, but the airflow doesn't reach the kitchen area where the bunk bed is, so there is one part of the apartment that doesn't cool down at all. There were also issues with Wi-Fi & Internet access, which we reported, but overall, we couldn't get a good connectivity. Now, the hosts, Emilio & Mariella are wonderful, warm & attentive people, very accommodating to our needs. The daily local cuisine-style breakfast is very good & certainly a plus when staying here (the best fresh mozzarella ever!). This is a place for a short stay.

Our host, Emilio, was incredibly helpful. We arrived late into the Bari airport and he actually met us at the Polignano Nord exit to ensure that we wouldn’t get lost. He and his staff were very warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Practical stay
Clean place and lovely friendly host . Located outside of town and a bit odd location. Host super friendly. Good for a quick stay maybe not that scenic for a longer stay as a bit run down outside . So for a practical solution it’s ok . For a holiday stay etc I’d stay in the town itself which is lovely and fantastic restaurants etc

Struttura situata in campagna contesto tranquillo purtroppo le camere sono prive di zanzariere!! Sono tutte con terrazzo privato e con tavolo e sedie dove viene servita la colazione anzi più esatto dire Brunch perché salato prodotti tipici su richiesta il dolce molto buoni.. La camera con bagno ampia, testata del letto in tessuto simile alla pelle tutta Scorticata sgradevole da vedere. Bagno ampio nella doccia il porta shampoo era completamente arrugginito. Al rientro la prima sera di soggiorno prima delle ore 22 abbiamo trovato la camera infestata di zanzare .Ma l'oste nn è riuscito ad aiutarci perché era tardi lui abita altrove.Nn si trovava più scorta di piastrine antizanzare cmq sosteneva che le zanzare nn c'erano più!!.In secondo tempo ha ammesso che solo nella nostra camera mancavano le piastrine!!.. Abbiamo passato una notte in bianco con punture di zanzara ovunque!! Ci aspettavamo di più da questo soggiorno quando si va a pagare solo per il sabato 101€ ...e i restanti giorni 89€ a notte il costo nn è assolutamente adeguato Visto anche il periodo!!

First of all, our hosts were LOVELY. In particular, Mr. Emilio went far and beyond, we arrived in the middle of a rain storm and he came out and assisted us with our luggage even though he got drenched in the process. Breakfast was excellent. However, the WiFi did not work during our entire stay. We saw other guests walking to the car park area to read their email with the WiFi. The furniture in our room, although modern, was very simple. We had a simple metal folding chair, then 3 out of 5 light bulbs in our bedroom were blown out. The toiletries were minimal, not seen in 4- or less so in 5-star accommodations: tiny soaps, slim as coins, the body towels were off-white (yellowish)…. Not what you would expect in a 3 star accommodation. The hand towels, however, were fine (white, very clean). Overall, a good place for rest and with lovely hosts, but from our experience, it is a bit overpriced/overrated.

Dear Mrs. Laura, we are sorry that the accommodation was not to your liking but the standard rooms have the "standard" amenities. with a Suite he would have found the chaise longue instead of the chair. Regarding the soaps and bubble baths they are small because they are single-use for hygienic-sanitary reasons and are changed and integrated every day. All linen is sterilized and washed with products that guarantee 100% disinfection. We are sorry that one towel was not perfect, in any case it could have asked the staff to replace it. Hoping to be able to host you again, we greet you cordially.

Wonderful hospitality and privacy
Great stay with wonderful hospitality! This place is in a great location for those wishing for privacy and peace. We had private parking on the property. Polignano a Mare is just 5min driving distance. Lots of thoughtful touches, with additional shampoo, body wash, and soap left for us if needed - they thought of everything! Our host Emilio and his wife were the sweetest people we met in Italy. Included in our stay was the most delicious local breakfast with cappuccino. Emilio recommended us restaurants and places to visit and as a plus even called to book us dinner reservation to one of the fanciest and busiest restaurants in town 🙂 Thank you, we would recommend!

Geweldig verblijf van 4 dagen met het gezin in Casale Porto Contessa. De ontvangst was uiterst vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is niet te evenaren: heel uitgebreid met veel huisgemaakte regionale gerechten. Met de vele tips van Emilio over de omgeving kreeg onze vakantie een meerwaarde. Fantastisch verblijf.

A refaire !
Nous avons passé 2 nuits et tout fût parfait. Le gîte se trouve à 5 mm de Polignano a mar entouré de magnifiques oliviers. Un accueil chaleureux, une chambre propre, des petits déjeuners très copieux avec des produits locaux. Merci à Emilio et son épouse pour tous ces bons conseils et toutes les explications sur cette magnifique région.

We came upon this Casale at the last minute, and we are so glad we did. Emilio and his wife are the owner of this establishment, and from the time we drove into their property, we were welcomed as if we are family. We knew breakfast was included, but that was one of the biggest and special home made breakfast we’ve ever had. There was no way we could finish everything so Emilio brought us container to take what we couldn’t eat with us for our travels. What a great hospitality and great couple. Un excellent séjour dans ce magnifique écrin de verdure. Situation excellente à la fois au calme et proche du centre, un superbe accueil des hôtes, de belles chambres, propres et bien équipés. Enfin, un petit déjeuner d’une excellente qualité, composé de produits faits maisons et locaux, en quantité. A recommander et réserver les yeux fermés.

La struttura è situata in una posizione strategica, poiché sono facili da raggiungere molte calette, nonché la città di Polignano. La tranquillità, la pulizia e la funzionalità della casa permette di rendere il tuo soggiorno rilassante. Le colazioni preparate giorno per giorno da Emilio e la moglie sono fantastiche....... Grazie di aver reso il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile.

Un posto magico
Struttura nuova in via di completamento che offre grazie alla passione di Emilio e della moglie un servizio superlativo. La colazione è una coccola per iniziare bene la giornata. Non è il tipico albergo da catena con servizio standardizzato ma una struttura dove creare una relazione diretta con i proprietari che ti ripagano con la loro disponibilità e voglia di farti stare bene. Se cercate la standardizzazione non è forse il posto adatto per voi, ma essere ospite è molto di più che essere turisti. San Vito è una località affascinante soprattutto quando calano le tenebre e il rumore lascia lo spazio al rumore del mare anche nei giorni con più affluenza. Molto diverso da quello che succede a Polignano. Da ritornare anche in altri periodi. Grazie

Semplicemente perfetto, peccato sia stato per una notte sola. Location ideale per posizione, comfort, tranquillità e colazione spettacolare, dolce e soprattutto salato per gustare i sapori della Puglia. Emilio poi è il valore aggiunto. Complimenti davvero

What a GEM
After spending two weeks in Italy and eating horrendous breakfasts, we didn’t expect much coming to Casal Porto Contessa. Wow were we surprised! The hotel itself is stunning and a labor of love. Rooms are spacious and gorgeous, the suites have kitchenettes included, and THE. BREAKFAST. Emilio made a point of saying that everything is fresh. One dish in particular made with ricotta “was in the cow’s udder 1 hour ago”… I’m not sure if he was joking, but my wife and I agree that everything was a scrumptious Italian gourmet of in house cooking, fresh from the stove. I swear angels sang with every bite. This incredible morning feast had us going till dinner. The breakfast alone was enough reason to visit, but when you factor in the rooms and grounds, this deserves 20 stars, not 10. Superb Emilio and Marielle!

Gentilissimo Antonio, siamo davvero felici di essere riusciti a trasmettere il calore dell'accoglienza Pugliese e i sapori che la nostra terra sà dare. Speriamo di potervi ospitare nuovamente e, visto che siamo alla vigilia di Natale, vi abbracciamo e vi auguriamo un sereno e felice Natale in famiglia.
