the restaurant had dirty tables when we went to eat at night and the barman kept sniffling as if he had a cold, at breakfast there was not much left.

While the exterior of the hotels buildings was really attractive, and the main internal structures were great, the soft furnishings in the bar area were particularly tired. My room was fine, though, comparable to a Travelodge. Evening meal options were ok, but with limited healthy, vegetarian or vegan options. Drinks range was also ok, but the draft beer I tried at the time of my visit wasn’t well kept

I used the hotel as a base while playing golf for three days very locally, and the room was clean and comfortable, and the reception staff friendly and really helpful.

Room was clean, however little things like no bathroom bin, not enough towels and no one on reception evenings or for check out. Room was VERY noisy

Nice area and spacious, clean room but the room let in far too light at night. Requested a top floor in plenty of time and was told they would do best to accommodate, but was given a ground floor room. Didn't see any staff other than the night porter who eventually arrived after at least 10 minutes! And at least that many phone calls as was getting a bit worried if anyone would show up. We realize he may have been busy, and was very polite and friendly when he did arrive, but the next morning on leaving the room, we were greeted with a stream of effing and blinding (literally every other word) by the staff making up the beds in the next room. Hardly professional! We had given this hotel a go as it was slightly cheaper than the Premier Inns which we use on a regular basis but sadly won't be returning.

Xmas/Boxing day stay in Meadow farm
Very pleasant for the most part… arrived relatively late evening… introduced to the environment and plans for breakfast… No yogarts with breakfast! Missing from the bags…. Relaxing environment… had a a nice hot bath… TV cut out at 12! 😊 Had breakfast in the restaurant on Boxing Day and all good… All told was very nice … the above are small things that did not take away from the experience….

Won’t repeat same room
It’s not so good as I expected compared to one of Marston inn (SpringRiver in Kent). I wasn’t comfortable i must say, the room is not fresh. I had to spray my perfume on the beddings yet my body itched which happens when beddings not completely changed. The bathroom extactor fan was half broken rusty

Stayed here several times now and intend returning again. Staff always keen to please and food excellent. Good facilities although car park lighting was out of action when I departed early so extra care required this time.

Thank you Meadow Farm
Enjoyed my stay at Meadow Farm. Check in was quick. My room was quiet. Leaving early was easy, a box for the room card. My sat nav got me lost, so I took longer than I hoped to get to the airport parking.

The people running both the hotel and the pub/restaurant are simply the nicest, friendliest and most considerate set of people we have come across in any similar establishment. This was supposed to be just an inexpensive stage on a long journey but, in fact, we found it to be an unexpectedly enjoyable event in its own right. Pretty good food too. We recommend the whole place. .

Easy to find. Good parking. Clean outside areas with plenty of dining/drinking space. Check in easy. All staff pleasant and efficient. Breakfast was excellent value. Restaurant food good. Good size room. Heating good. Bathroom a little dated though. Our room only had one chair. Only complaint was that there were quite a few bits on the carpet so could have done with a good vacuum.

Excellent staff and great value for money
Excellent staff from check-in through to departure. Incredibly friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Great value for money. Very good family pub which serves the business traveller very well.
