Sometimes you do not get what you do not pay for. The price was good but this property is worn and poorly maintained. Check in was a challenge. No information was shared about the wifi, or tv system or phone which did not work. When I went to the office the second time to speak with a person I was allowed in. She told me the phone and TV worked (they did not). Her brother responded and fixed it. He was helpful. Contrary to the web Orbitz listing there was no breakfast. If price is your first consideration this is your place. Otherwise....

They have DirecTv. Clean. Faucet in the tub was drippy constantly. Good location.

The place was dirty. Our room had dead bugs all over the floor, outlet covers hanging out of the wall, lights wouldnt turn on, bed sheets had stains on it, pillow had what looked like blood stains, headboard of the bed had spider webs on it, floor look like was never swept, smell of rook was horrible even for being a smoking room, door to the room was very hard to even open

As basic as basic can be. Absolutely "no frills" other than very basic continental breakfast. This is an old Howard Johnson's which at one time was refurbished decently. One tiny picture on wall. Mattress was beyond worn out. Pillows you might find in a prison. 5-10 tries every time to use key card. TV remote nearly dead. Toilet wobbled BADLY. Freezer in mini fridge had so much ice built up, you couldn't fit an ice cube tray. I had to take it outside to defrost all day. Cigarette burns on furniture. FILTHY. AC did work though.

Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Breakfast wasn’t anything special or to write home about but was adequate for a free breakfast. Room was clean and amply supplied. Would stay again for the right price (was good this go round)

Taught that you get what you pay for ! Rooms reasonable but.dirty. Bed was clean. No shower safety item’s especially the tub bottom, it was not non-slip, hair dryer broken, no tissues, and tv remote on last leg with no battery cover. Was only there from 1:30 AM to 6:30 AM because of travel emergency. Never saw facility in daylight.

Looks like they start renovating but the room was dirty, blanket had burn holes in it and front desk was locked with 5 young children camped out at 11:15 pm. Sounded like a loud party happening and I had to call several times for service. No coffee or breakfast and when asked said they were under new management. Lobby was still closed off. Always stayed at Knights Inn when traveling but never this one again.

Disgustingly Dirty and Felt Unsafe
This hotel is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. It felt unsafe and it was filthy. We were unable to lock our door using the swing bar lock as it was broken. The mirror was filthy with splatter marks all over it, the tub had multiple hairs and an orange colored film, the waste basket had a disgusting substance, towels appeared dirty, and countertops were not wiped clean. This room looked like it hadn’t had maid service for months. It appears people live at the hotel as I saw a cat in one window, an outdoor grill, and lots of junk/personal belongings on the outside balcony. You could hear people coming and going during late hours and a car alarm going off. I would not recommend staying here.

Disappointed
Hotel was dirty. Sink mirror had tooth paste specks all over. Toilet had fecal matter on it. Remote didn't work. The only reason I stayed in the hotel was because I was tired and didn't feel like searching for another hotel. I guess you get what you pay for.😠😡

Not a great room but seen worse!
Our check in was about 1230 am. The clerk was nice. But the room smelled bad and was poorly painted and missing fixtures. Only half the switches worked!

Overpriced hotel from hell
Not a good hotel at all They have no lobby u can sit in In order to check in u have to call from a phone then slide id underneath a glass window Room was EXTRA filthy refrigerator with Stains in it, Bedspreads with smoking burns in them,Big hole in Bathroom door,Nite stand food crumbs all over it,The door says Howard Johnsons on it but the sign says Knights Inn If i could give it Negative Stars i would Dont think your going to get any Sleep Shady people in parking lot and running up and down all Night.

I was extremely disappointed in my first gold membership stay. I couldnt get late check out. My room wasn't a smoking room. The front desk attendant just told me to go ahead and smoke. She has a very offputting personality. The vents had bugs in them. There seemed to be rodent droppings behind the night stand.

Good and cheap!
Rooms were clean- smelled a little of cigarettes but overall good! Area is convenient next to Kings Dominion and good restaurants.

The room itsself looked clean but had this weird smell to it the mirror was dirty the tv didnt work there were holes in the wall as well and the hot water in the room didnt want to cooperate but for $71 a night you cant really expect much

I left after two hours as the smoke smell in the room was disgusting. When I went to check out and tell the manager, he said he could have put me in another room, I declined aa this hotel is listed as NON smoking. So all of the rooms would be the same.

The building was under construction, it wasn't very cleanly, there were ashes and a strong Marijuana smell in our room when we came back from the event we were attending and the staff was not available to talk to about it that night or in the morning.
