We had many expectations… Unfortunately it was a bad experience, since de first contact before arrival (I wrote two e-mails and received only one answer). At the moment of arriving we were treated impolitely, since we arrived at around 1:30 pm, and the gentleman at the front desk limited to say “check in is at 3pm”, we did not received a greeting at all, not even asked under what name the reservation was. We had to ask to save our luggage in the meantime, since him never offer it. By the time we were back to check in, it all was the most impersonal and cold we have ever had in a hotel. Once we get into the room, there was a strong smell as dog, that was fading during our stay. During our stay, the only kind people we ran into, were one man (a janitor, perhaps), and the lady at the bar, everybody else of the staff was too impersonal to us (it felt like we were ghosts) nobody greet or smile at us. The room was never cleaned properly during our stay, the bed was just fixed by stretching the blankets, and changing the towel we used, we found a toe-nail from the previous guest in the rug (that means the rug was not properly vacuum), the shower gel was never replaced. One of the main motives to stay at your hotel was to have a dinner in your restaurant, since the pictures of it are captivating, the next morning we were advised that it was closed, it was much disappointed.

I liked everything about the hotel. I did not like it, dirty blinds, under the bed there was garbage. lots of light at night comes through the windows, and light on the light switch. it bothers my eyes a lot

Es un hotel recién remodelado con muy buena ubicación. Las habitaciones son pequeñas y el baño incómodo. No tiene closets por lo que no hay donde poner la ropa. No sirven desayuno por lo que hay que salir a la calle a buscar donde desayunar.

So what a difference 2 weeks makes ... I'm only marking down because the elevator was out of order for the full time of our second stay. That said staff did reallocate room to lower floor and also helped carry bags to room. On checking out we left our bags to pick up before heading to the airport and on return to pick them up we asked to use the shared restroom on the 2nd floor - and were very bluntly advised that access to it was closed off at 5pm!!!

A great hotel in San Francisco
Chic, lovely, well-priced hotel in a great location. Extremely easy to get anywhere in the city. I found the room very comfortable and had no problems getting a good night's sleep. Staff were all very nice and helpful. Also the lobby smells really good! I would definitely stay here again.

Above our expectations for this stay! We had Lovely assist us with our check in and out and she was beyond helpful! Also easy to store bags before and after check out. Highly recommend staying especially if you want a easy and safe place to stay not far from the trains!

Cute but disappointing
The hotel is charming and the bed was very comfortable, however the “king suite” looked nothing like what’s advertised. Broken beside lamp, broken TV, and the complimentary coffee, tea & pastries that had been promised never appeared.

Service was exceptional. Was check-in and out by Rachel who was enthusiastic and warm. In-fact, everybody I interacted with at the property was excellent. Bed was comfortable. Not many channels on the TV, but that's not a big deal to me.
