Me sentí cómoda y segura. Hay muy buen ambiente. Solo tener en cuenta que si traes auto tienes que estacionarte en la calle con parquímetro.

It's a good place to stay, and I would stay again. I only wish there was a better cooling system in the room other than a fan bolted to the wall, and cost 20$ to have a load of laundry washed and dried. But good restaurant/bar, common areas, services and location.

Muy buena atención del personal, limpio, la comida del restaurante es muy buena con buenos precios, pude dejar mi equipaje con ellos por un tiempo sin pagar adicional, el barrio donde esta es lo mejor, cerca del tren electrico, buses publicos, el barrio es Otoya, lindo y seguro. Recomiendo este Selina al cien! pura vida!

Que agradable lugar
La estancia en Selina San Jose fue muy agradable, el ambiente muy relajado, el personal atento, dispuesto a resolver cualquier duda, las areas comunes son agradables. Desearía que pusieran un poco mas de empeño en los protocolos de higiene.

Las habitaciones adecuadas y su ubicación cerca de lugares para visitar. El inconveniente fue que estaban remodelando el área común y habia ruido.

Todo muy bien y el servicio muy bueno también solo por el diseño Se sale muchísimo el agua de la regadera y entendemos que por el clima hay animales tropicales encontramos una cucaracha en la habitación.

El hostel mas lindo
Me encanta los hostels de Selina! Es las segunda vez que e quedado como huésped (la primera vez fue en la fortuna). Ana en recepción no recibió como si éramos familia. Nuestro habitación era limpio y muy cómodo. Estuvimos en el habitación privado con baño privado. Me encanta el decor y el estilo de Selina. Y la comida y los otros huéspedes te hacen sentir en lugar muy familiar

El personal es el punto de mejora, pues no se muestran muy proactivos en ayudar al huésped. Estuve un rato esperando a que alguien me atendiese en recepción, cuando por fin apareció alguien, no tenía prisa por solucionar nada. El diseño del hostal es lo que marca la diferencia. Un entorno de diseño y muy desenfadado. Es conveniente preguntar por qué calles moverse cerca del hostal. Algunas de ellas son un poco más incómodas por el tipo de personas que te puedas encontrar. Preguntad en recepción por donde moverse.

A very chic hostel in SJO downtown
This hostel is wonderful, located very near the Museum of Contempprary Art and the National Park, and 20 min walking to downtown area of San Jose. Very nice furniture, it also has a bar-restaurant with delicioua food and beverages and great music. You can have breakfast for less than 5 USD The is really nice and the service is superb. I loves this hostel.

Hostal chic en el centro de SJO
Este hostal está en una hermosa zona de San José, capital de Costa Rica. Muy cerca del museo de arte moderno y el parque nacional, así como del centro de la ciudad. El lugar es excepcional, muy buena decoración, vintage moderno, te invita a disfrutarlo. Tiene un bar-restaurante con excelente comida y bebidas y muy buena música. Su staff es muy cordial y servicial.

Tenía fallas en el suministro de agua caliente. El toilet tampoco tenía mucha fuerza para llevarse los desechos y eso que gastaba mucha agua.

fine hostel.
The hostel was fine. Clean and with big dorms. More chill than the Selina hostel in Manuel Antonio. Some of the staff was great but there was also several people that was not very helpful and it was hard to get their attention when you needed to check in or out. Not the best customer service. I wouldn't stay here again since I don't think the atmosphere was the greatest.

So if your in your twenties and like noise and don’t care you spent over a $100 for a private room that you cannot walk around the bed, no tv, no AC, dirty shared bathroom, one towel for 2 people, this is the place for you. The staff was nice and food was good enough, but we will not stay here again for the high price alone.

Initial room had no windows and ventilation was inadequate and so the room was extremely hot. Asked to be relocated and the new room was a complete mess and reaked of body odor when I walked in. Feel the property should manage that better. No large lockers for personal items which made it very inconvenient. Breakfast and was excellent

Selina is always my go to choice when travelling for its safety, it’s people and it’s events. There is always something going on and the people are friendly. The room I got was private didn’t really need too should of booked a dorm as they are really big and comfortable beds.

Maravilhoso. Foram 4 noites. Privacidade com blackout. Banheiro do quarto grande e limpo. Distribuem bem os hóspedes nos quartos quando possível, fiquei sozinha em alguns momentos (alguns pra facilitar limpeza enche um quarto deixa só outros vazios) 2 ótimos travesseiros. Colchão excelente. Ambiente muito gostoso nas áreas comuns. Bar do hostel sempre com música ou alguma outra atividade. Comida gostosa. Único ponto negativo é o valor da comida que poderia ser mais em conta.

The entire staff at SELINA SAN JOSE including Carrey Sofia Steven Celeste Mairon Sergio and Andre go out of their way to make your stay memorable. I checked out Ap29/2023 and found it so hard to say goodbye to everybody since we have developed deep friendships. I go to Selina SJ every few months for Proceedures and I have friends here who I have such fond memories with. One time I left without saying goodbye since it was too heartbreaking saying goodbye. I see many guests and staff returning here month after month

First experience of a Selina hostel. Wonderful place to be alone or in group, working and/or traveling. Restaurant items were healthy & delicious. Our private room was adjacent to the community kitchen, so it was a bit noisy in the mornings…no sleeping in for us old folks, ha!
