The place is conveniently located to restaurants, tourist spots (a block away from Castillo Cristobal), pretty much all the must-see in Old San Juan. The breakfast they serve are amazing. Tisha and Eddie are both so welcoming. If there's one minor issue it would be the noise from outside that was a little bothersome. (Which Casa Sol has no control over. Lol! So not really complaining.) Our room was the one next to the street so it can get a bit busy at times. Other than that, everything was amazing!

Perfect Old San Juan Experience
Everything about our stay was fantastic! Eddie and Tisha (Margarita) were amazing hosts. They treated us like family. The room was comfortable, the patio area was adorable, the dog was super sweet, and the food...WOW! Everything in Old San Juan is within easy walking distance. I love that the B&B was near the top of the hill which is a reasonable distance from the cruise ships. The further up the hill you go, the better the food (the ships are at the bottom). You cannot go wrong staying here. Thank you so much, and we can't wait to come back!

Wonderful experience
I stayed at Casa Sol as a solo traveler for 3 nights. It was a wonderful experience. Eddie and Tisha were extremely friendly and helpful in providing recommendations for cultural attractions and restaurants, as well as arrangements for taxi transportation. The location in Old San Juan is within an easy walk of many cultural attractions while still being relatively quiet in the evening. The breakfasts were tasty and customizable with notice (I'm vegetarian). All in all, a great experience and I will definitely be staying here next time I'm in San Juan!

Casa Sol is such a beautiful property. The room was lovely and full of charm. The details were impeccable; bottles of water left for guests, chocolates on the bed, safe and secure room, beautiful decor. It was also eco-friendly, with reusable bottles, showers that use less water, and a fan to keep the room cool. The A/C was great, but the fan was just as wonderful. our room had a big beautiful window with shutters, but we could not open them because the room faces the street and is on street level. So you give up a level of privacy if you choose to open the shutters. We kept them mostly closed. The location was great, within walking distance to everything. Eddie shared great local places to eat that were outside of the touristy areas, and they did not disappoint. The breakfast was amazing, made with fresh and local ingredients! One thing to note is that many restaurants close early, around 10 or so, and they stop taking customers well before closing. Just make sure you keep that in mind when planning dinner. Another thing to note is that there is no TV. but there is WiFi, so you can stream on your ipad or computer if you wish. All in all, we had an amazing stay. Casa Sol is a wonderful experience and we would love to stay there again. Thank you Eddie and Tisha for being wonderful hosts, and Kayla for taking care of us as well.

Excellent location a block from ocean views. Very friendly and caring family that takes pride in their bed and breakfast. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beautiful and luscious courtyard perfect for an early morning cafecito. They’ll customize your breakfast according to your dietary needs (mine was plant based). Will definitely stay here again. Great find.

Casa Sol is a clean, well kept, simple B&B. The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, the host were kind and helpful. If an enormous luxury suite is what you're looking for, this may not be for you. If a beautiful little bed and breakfast in the heart of Old San Juan is what you want, you can trust Casa Sol will be a great place.

It was a very nice B&B that was very well maintained, in a great location and the host's were very nice and helpful. The breakfasts were great. Noone was renting our room the next day, so we were allowed to stay in our room until 2:30 PM, since our outbound arrangements were not until that time. Check out time is normally 11:00 AM.

It was a pleasure to meet Eddie and Tisha. Casa Sol is within a walking distance to most sights in the Old San Juan. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The daily breakfast was delicious. Eddie and Tisha are friendly and helpful. They recommended a near by beach within a walking distance from Casa Sol and we had a wonderful time there. I would highly recommend Casa Sol B and B because of Eddie and Tisha hospitality, the excellent service they provide, and the great location!

Great Stay at Casa Sol
We just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa Sol B&B. The location in Old San Juan was perfect! It was a short walk from Castillo San Cristobal, Fortaleza Street and great shopping and restaurants. A beautiful ocean view walk was only a couple blocks away. Old San Juan has a wonderful charm to it and the locals are welcoming and positive. We felt very welcome at the B&B. Owners Eddie and Tish, and Eddie's mom Tillie, were very helpful with recommendations for local restaurants and sites to visit. The rooms were clean and large enough and the air conditioning work well (always important). The breakfasts in the nice courtyard featured local baked goods (banana bread and something yummy with guava) and included local fresh fruit. One day we had a wonderful chorizo and plantain egg scramble and another day french toast with guava syrup. It was delicious, as was the coffee with warm milk. We had nothing to complain about -- we felt at home and safe in the area. We also really enjoyed giving pets to their resident dog, Oreo, who was a stray they adopted. We hope to return!

We loved it here, Perfect location in Old San Juan
We stayed at this adorable bed and breakfast after our seven day southern Caribbean cruise. It was the perfect location for exploring Old San Juan. The owners Eddie and Tisha were super helpful With restaurant recommendations! We tried both of the restaurants they recommended and they were both top-notch! The breakfast that they served in the morning was super fresh and oh, so tasty! And don’t even get me started on the coffee they serve. I would go back just for the coffee!

Amazing--we fell in love with Old San Juan and Casa Sol! Wonderful hosts, great location for walking the city. Eddie and Tisa are incredibly welcoming, create the most delicious breakfasts every morning and are a wealth of information about the city and the best restaurants.

Good stay, nice home!!!
I flew to Puerto Rico for our cruise trip: Eddie and his wife (Casa’s owners) was so friendly. We feel like we are living in our relative’s house. After We got back from cruise, we need to go church and need a place to store our luggages. Eddie’s wife was so nice to let us store our luggage at their place. She also arranged our ride to the airport after we’re done with church. Overall we recommend this warning place to stay for your visit. It’s a walking distance to all popular historical sites. Breakfasts are delicious too. 👍

Quaint B&B in Old San Juan right next to San Cristobal castle. The house is from 1795 but refurbished to modern standards. Delicious home made breakfast. Different everyday. Included fresh fruit, fresh squeezed juices, etc. Close to major streets Fortaleza and San francisco wher most stores/restaurants are. Within blocks of El Morro. Clean rooms. Excellent hosts Tisha and Eddie.

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast in Old San Juan
The hotel was comfortable and well located. The hosts were very friendly and recommended restaurants for us. The breakfasts were delicious and different every morning. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast. The hosts also recommended a taxi to take us to the airport.

Loved it!!!
Tisha and Eddie were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and wrote down different points of interest and any other places that we asked for. The establishment was gorgeous and very comfortable. We received daily breakfast with our package and it was amazing. It was a full breakfast each morning that started off with fresh fruit and coffee then each day we received a different pastry item and then one morning was pancakes, then an omelette, and on or last day a ham egg and cheese sandwich! The location is perfect for exploring Old San Juan and is within walking distance to everything there. I would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend for couples or families.

Sorry you felt this way, coffee is ready at 8am everyday and if requested if could have been ready sooner. We always focus on total satisfaction of our guest.

Welcoming staff at unbelievable location.
The downside of our three days was that we brought absorbing colds and coughs, which kept us from fully experiencing Old San Juan and Casa Sol. We enjoyed walking around, down to the Atlantic sea wall on one side or the plaza and shops on the harbor side, and took the tourist trolley to the forts and walked downtown. We enjoyed the garden patio for the varied breakfasts or just to sit out. The patio has a half awning for the rain, lots of side, and no direct sun. We drank lots of water, helpfully available in the fridge, Casa Sol is charming, from the friendly manners of our hosts to the room decor. The area is colorful, the views compelling, and the weather enabling. We were given a map, usefully marked in response to our interests in coffee, chocolate, and fish restaurants. Across the street, in the schoolyard, is a statue of Abraham Lincoln, looking as relaxed as he did when playing with his own children.

Perfekter Aufenthalt im historischen Zentrum
Ich habe im Casa Sol mit meinem Freund zwei Nächte übernachten und meine Erwartungen wurden sogar übertroffen. Das Hotel befindet sich mitten im historischen Zentrum von San Juan, nur eine Minute von der Küste entfernt. Die Straße ist malerisch, geprägt durch die klassischen, bunten Häusern. Ein idealer Ort, von dem man die Altstadt zu Fuß erkunden kann. Die Zimmer sind sauber und vor allem durch die hohen Decken sehr geräumig. Die Inhaber führen ihr Haus mit viel Liebe, sind sehr hilfsbereit und verwöhnen einen jeden Morgen mit köstlichem Frühstück. So etwas findet man selten... Man hat wirklich das Gefühl, man ist bei Freunden zu Gast, da man mit so viel Herzlichkeit empfangen und bewirtet wird. zusammenfassend: ein perfekter Start für unseren Urlaub auf Puerto Rico!
