Nice location. About a 10 min drive from the airport. Less than a 5 min walk to the beach. Lots of eateries and stores within walking distance. I never felt unsafe walking the neighborhood. Rental was nice, clean & affordable. The only drawback was the neighbor’s dog barks sometimes. It’s not a constant thing but if people are highly sensitive, they might be bothered. Some of the locals drive crazy, but thats to be expected. Hardly anybody uses turn signals and some even take red lights. Use caution while driving in P.R. It has nothing to do with the property but just to give you a head’s up. The owner has amazing communication at lighting fast speed. I asked a question through text and received a response within 2 mins. I would stay at this place again if I come back to San Juan Overall grade: A

We arrived at one AM, directions to enter and get keys and park were clear and easy. Parking was only $5 a day. We had a one bedroom, living room area, kitchen area with cups, utensils. Had a little back are to sit if you wanted! When you come out walk two short blocks to a public beach, you can rent chairs and buy cheap delicious drinks from Ramon! Walkable to many local, reasonable places to eat. Had everything we needed! Definitely would stay again!

Nice older well maintained apartments. All gated so very secure. Plenty of towels and even beach towels. Walking distance to the beach and some very nice restaurants. Ask for off street parking!

My partner and I stayed here during our most recent trip to puerto rico. The property is located in a super convenient area being around 10 minutes from the airport & 10 minutes from old san juan. We stayed in the Tulum suite which had a spacious bedroom & living room. The unit was extremely clean. The owner was very friendly, responsive and welcoming. They offered us many recommendations around the island. We loved our stay and will definitely stay here next time we stay in Puerto Rico!!!

This was perfect for what we were looking for. It was easy to get in and out of and felt safe. Easy to communicate with and when a light went out they were quiet to respond and get it fixed. Thanks for the great stay.

The location is convenient to the airport, beach, the highway and shopping. There are several restaurants nearby too. The apartment itself is very comfortable giving a relaxed atmosphere.

Wonderful last minute trip. Staff stayed in contact and were very helpful. The only issue I had was the neighbors dog barking so much and waking me up.

Place was centralized, everything was with in walkable distance like to the beach, shopping, food and entertainment. My only complaint was the next door dog barking at 7am and the construction going on as early as 7am.

Great location to vacation, I wish we could've stayed longer. This place is away from the tourist areas which makes visiting so much better, trust me on that. While away from tourist areas it's in a location that makes getting anywhere very easy. Thank you all so much for the hospitality, we loved our stay.

The apartment was beautiful, clean, and was very comfortable for my weekend stay. I enjoyed the convenience of Calle Loíza nearby while staying in a quieter area. I also stayed took a short adventure to the beach which was really relaxing. I highly recommend folks stay at this property!

The property is very small, old, and outdated. The outlets were sticking out from the walls. The lamp for additional lighting is on the shelf above your head can fall down if you accidentally touch the cord. The only place to sit is pretty much your bed. You cannot take advantage of the deck outside because there is no cover. It is already hot at 7 am and the bench is hardwood and is not comfortable for sitting at all. Got bitten by something one night, and woke up with 30-40 bites all over my body.

5 min walk to a beach, very responsive to any needs.. to be a five star, they could provide fresh towels daily, but that’s me being spoiled .. safe, quiet area.. easy check in and check out.. AC in bedroom only, but that’s authentic Puerto Rico

La Esmeralda is truly a little gym! There’s a small beach (Ocean Park) 5 minutes down the street near a basketball court and recreation area. I stayed in the Tulum room and it has all your essentials!
