Nunca me habia hospedado en un hostel y me senti a gusto con la experiencia. Ahora prefiero el hostel aun hotel.

Great vibe but understaffed
Super clean, conveniently located hostel. I met a lot of really nice people, including at least one person whom I believe will be a friend for life. Close to the supermarket, restaurants, and public transit. However, the staff leave at 7pm! I was like, really?? When I accidentally locked myself out the first night, I thought I was gonna be in serious trouble! It turned out ok because you can punch a code into the front door to get in, but then you need to rely on other guests to let you into the dorm part. Thankfully, the other guests were really cool & let me in. However, if nobody had been in the common room to hear me knocking, I would have been SOL lol! I prefer when a hostel has 24-hour staff. I mean, if the front desk closed at like 10 or 11pm (San Juan has a 12am curfew currently) I would understand, but 7pm, really? Come on now. Overall, I had a really nice time though.

If your goal is not to sleep, stay here!!
If your goal is not to sleep all night Santurcia Hostel is perfect. I don't recommend this hostel for someone who is paying to sleep well. I actually want hotels.com to reimburse me for my stay because I did not sleep at all.

Best first time experience
First time staying at a hostel and the check in instructions made it so easy to self check in. Very clean and well decorated. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone else!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there’s not enough outlets especially in the rooms to be able to charge your phone or your laptop so you have to do it in the common room. Other than that it was great.

Always enjoy this place- they keep up on maintenance and cleanliness. Always meet great people here to have fun adventures with. The bunks are great for solo travelers, the private rooms for groups and families. Hip neighborhood with lots of dining options and close to beaches and nightlife destinations.

Unbelievably cold. Like 67 in the bedrooms cold. No outlets in the dorm rooms so I couldn't charge my phone overnight without leaving it in a common area. Toilets didn't work well. The area is alright with a nice grocery store around the corner but I wouldn't say it's really near anything

The staff was absolutely wonderful! It was a clean and bright hostel. I’d only suggest making the shower curtains stationary, because when the breeze blows, everyone’s getting a show! I’d gladly return to this property and really enjoyed their rooftop area.

It’s a very nice friendly property. Open friendly kitchen. A few separate rooms for guest. Several bathrooms. Lots of electrical outlets for charging Tablets and phones. Clean bathrooms. Quiet and friendly. Wonderful rooftop area to relax. Little hard to find until you see the “SH” over green door next to ATM, but it a wonderful place inside on a safe street with 24 hour grocery store block away “Pueblo” and a planet fitness
