Nice family resort to enjoy the outdoors
This resort is dated as other reviews have suggested, the rooms need some updating, carpeting should definitely be replaced and bathroom. The amenities are really nice however, the lake, docks, tennis courts, restaurants and bonfires made the trip. I would recommend this resort if you are going to be spending most of your outdoors enjoying the gorgeous nature that surrounds you.

It's been a few years since we stayed at the Rocky Crest and we had forgotten what a great place it is! We really enjoyed our stay. Loved the wood fireplace, the kitchen facilities, great view and the restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was great!

For 2 bedroom ( 6 ppl. ) 1 bathroom it’s not enough Pillows are horrible TV wasn’t working ( it was fixed fast) Clock and light wasn’t working in a second bedroom It’s more like 3 star hotel. Property is good! Restaurant for breakfast wasn’t good and overpriced

The carpets in every room are absolutely filthy. Bayside grill had awful service and we waited 20 minutes before someone even came by. Overall the whole place just needs an update.

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment. The carpets were cleaned this spring but we reviewed yoru room already. Our management team review all observations by all guests for improvement.

Rocky Crest is a beautiful, clean,well kept property on Lake Joseph. We appreciated that it’s pet friendly. However, it’s way more expensive than it should be. For a two night stay(basically less than a day & a half), we thought we paid way too much. Also, the terrain is very difficult for seniors like my husband and me to navigate. I’m very sore from making my way from the parking lot and reception centre to our unit with our bags, and up and down the hill to the dining rooms and the lakeside.

When Rocky Crest was built several decades ago, it was definitely not with consderation for those that struggle with varying terrain. We do offer complimentary luggage assistance and we have followed up with our team to ensure that all are offered in the future.

This property is in a great location . The suites are all located steps away from the pool and water front . I give this property 3/5 and the only reason for this is the rooms needing to be updated ! Negatives - this place needs some updates . Rooms are dated (but clean) , other pool was closed wasn’t notified about this when I booked the property ,Lots of steps .. don’t stay if you have any physical limitations Positives : location beautiful , staff nice , food good, floating water park in lake great for kids. Check in early with no issues .

The location is great! The setting on Hamer Bay is lovely. The amenities especially for families are wonderful - lots of water and boating activities. Our waterfront suite had a nice view. The room itself needs an upgrade. The bath/shower needs to have safety bars. Housekeeping staff did a great job. The area around the buildings needs better maintenance, particularly boardwalk and grounds. Seems a bit tired. areas

Beautiful surroundings with amazing views, and we were able to canoe and do other water activities. however the rooms could use a new modern look they are very outdated and the the carpet definitely should be replaced. The golf course restaurant has the slowest service and waitresses that need better training on how to talk to people.

Great experience. Except we could not rent a boat as it is too early. Jade from the restaurant is friendly, professional,accommodating and just simply awesome! You need more staff like her. Overall, wonderful stay.

Parking and wifi not free
Hotel.com's reservation stated that parking and wifi are free. However, at the reception I was asked to pay resort fee which is around $50 in addition to the night fare from Hotel.com. Resort fee includes both parking and internet access. This obviously makes parking and wifi not free as advertised on hotel.com page and reservation confirmation.

Don’t go for pics available at website for view
I was very excited before going looking at pics available at website that gives idea that golf course is in front of hotel building but actually it’s not and more disappointing is view if you didn’t paid extra for river view otherwise it’s just building in front of other building that was shocking for us. They have many small 4-5 units suits. Overall was clean but no view at all. They take resort fee but playing golf is not free at this location .

The view is beautiful, we stayed in 2 Br suite facing lake with Sun porch. Room size excellent, very clean. Heated outdoor pool but we didn’t use it. We took a chance with the patio restaurant despite the reviews- I’m happy to say the ribs are good m, the super burger was also good. The service was slow because there’s only 1 lady for about 8 tables. Overall we liked the place. The con : rooms are dated indeed.

pleasant but in need of major maintenance
Generally pleasant clean place, but in need of maintenance. I would expect all of the appliances, amenities etc to be functional, especially given the price for the stay plus the extra hefty charge for the amenities. Issues included BBQs without propane, broken microwaves, hot tub not functional, boats broken

The property was great! All the Staff, especially AAJ at the check in area were excellent, helpful and friendly. The rooms definitely need updating and we would have liked more options for dining.
