Family get together
The lodge is beautiful and very spacious. The kitchen has 2 refrigerators, a large dining table that fit our entire family. Lots of seating in the family room and sitting area. A great table for game playing, games, and Foosball/ping pong. The upstairs suites were amazing! The location is a great central location to many parks and activities for all ages. But the best part was the view! The Baptism river and trees are fantastic and very relaxing. Lots of area to sit outside or in the screen porch. Lots of stairs, just be aware if you have anyone with difficulties with stairs. Highly recommend the lodge!

Intimate wedding stay
We rented the lodge to celebrate our union ceremony and were absolutely blown away by the lodge. The pictures really do not do this gem service, it’s all the better in person. Family was breath taken by the river view and the splendor of the lodge. With 16 people it felt absolutely comfortable and not in any way crowded. The stay blew our expectations away! It was the north shore location of my dreams.

Beautiful property
What an amazing place ! We stayed as a group of 18 people and everyone was impressed how spacious , beautiful and clean this place is . We will definitely keep it in mind for our future church retreats.

Great log cabin!
This was a great place for us all to stay. We were supposed to be snowmobiling, but without snow we went hiking and touring the lovely state parks in the area. The lodge was spacious and had plenty of room for gathering as well as separate spaces if we wanted a little privacy! The kitchen was lovely and had all the things we needed. The area is very beautiful! Highly recommend Tettegouche Lodge for a larger group gathering!

Absolutely stunning
This property is gorgeous and meticulously maintained. We had everything we needed and more. All the rooms were very spacious and there were plenty of common areas for the whole family to be together.

Excellent accomodations
Clean, spacious and well stocked. We had 18 adults (family and friends) an infant and a 3 year old who all had a wonderful time. There were toys for the kids, a pack and play as well as other convenience. Each of the 9 couple had their own private room. We had 10 snowmobiles. The trails are close. There was room for 2 large trailers and 6 vehicles. Getting in and out with the large 29' X 8.5' wide trailer was a challenge due to a fairly narrow driveway and a 9' wide bridge. We took it slow and all went well. Our hosts were very responsive, kind and gracious. Would definitely do it again.

Great Stay
We gathered to celebrate 60th birthdays. The lodge feels very secluded with breathtaking views. The sauna was relaxing and the lodge was comfortable. The location is close to hiking, restaurants and shopping.

Amazing birthday week
An absolutely perfect location for 14 of us celebrating a friend's big birthday. Property is beautiful inside and out, lots of great hiking nearby, and the owners were very responsive to the relatively minor issue we encountered when the front door lock failed in the locked position.

Great location - very enjoyable stay
Large and roomy as advertised. Great location about halfway between Duluth and Grand Marais. Good cooking facilities. Nice touches like games and puzzles. Comfortable beds. Tesla charger in the garage. If we had any complaints - some bedrooms had better ventilation than others and sometimes it felt like the mosquitoes knew how to get around the screens. A “bug zapper “ would have been useful. But these are fairly minor issues - overall it was a great stay! We would do it again if we are in the same area.

The house for groups!!
There was 15 of us in this wonderful (and large) house. We had plenty of room to spread ourselves around, a large dining room, very nice screened porch and also one not screened in. The upstairs bedrooms had balconies. The location allowed easy day trips up and down the north shore. If you have a group this is the place on the North Shore! The owners respond quickly to any questions you have.

Best small wedding venue!
Photos do no justice to this property. It is absolutely breathtaking. Hosts do a great job of setting you up for success and are very fast to respond to questions. I cannot say enough good about this. The price may seem steep... But once you get here you'll be like, "that's all it is a night?" Considering how many people can sleep/split costs/ the space you get. It is very easy to hang out with a big group as well as to get away for alone time. For our trip we rented for 6 nights and got married in the middle of that rental, then stayed and hung out up the shore with family. We had to do VERY LITTLE to up the aesthetic to wedding level. This rental was a serious treat. Don't even consider hesitating. Just book it. And then there's also a sauna... Mind blown all week long. Such a lovely place.

Family Favorite
This was a great getaway for our family and plenty to do for everyone, both on the property and nearby. We snowmobiled, snoeshoed, hiked, played games, ping pong and did puzzles. Good assortment of games and puzzles supplied. The cabin had great space for everyone to hang out together as well as nooks for quiet. Grandkids said it was a favorite! Hosts were very kind and accommodating.

Excellent for large groups
We had a group of 17 family and friends with one toddler. The space was excellent, well laid out with cozy fireplaces. Large kitchen and laundry room allowed for lots of room so we didn't feel crowded. We were together for snowmobiling. We had 12 snowmobiles in all. 2 long trailers and one standard 2 place trailer. We had some challenges getting the 29' extra wide snowmobile trailer in and out of the driveway and over the bridge. We were advised it could be an issue when we reserved the place. Convenient access to the trails, and the trails were in great condition. Communication with the owners was easy with prompt and good responses. We had a great time with family and friends.

Overall a great place
The title says it all, it's a great place, very spacious and in a great location. Just some minor items to know the upstairs bathroom showers are pretty light on pressure so don't over lather, you might be in there awhile. The two garbage bins under the sink and hutch, smell like garbage had been left in there far too long and soaked into the wood and will not come clean, we tried. The toilet handle in the upstairs bedroom "N" had a broken handle so we had to leave the top off t so we could manually flush. Other than the minor issues it was pretty solid, game room and kids play areas would be great for little ones although we had none on it trip.

Most Amazing Wedding Weekend

What a magical place!
We stayed at Tettegouche Lodge in late October for an extended family reunion. What an incredibly magical place this is. The property is situated overlooking the Baptism River. The house was extremely well stocked, and the kids loved playing with the Legos, Ping-Pong, and Foosball Table. The adults enjoyed the outdoor woodfired sauna and we loved sitting out on the deck at night watching the stars and listening to the river. What a truly amazing place to hold a large gathering! We are already planning next years stay!

Beautiful Home
Floors were a bit dirty along with a few minor drain issues & owner did let us know ahead of time dryer wasn’t working properly but communication was easy/responsive and we still had a great weekend at the Tettegouche Lodge. This home is beautiful inside out and pretty much has all that you need if everything is working properly. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

Annie, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We made sure to get a plumber out right away to fix the drain issues and the new dryer is being installed this week. We also are partnering closely with our cleaners to ensure everything is in tip top shape for our guests for each stay. Fantastic Getaway
This was a great property to host our family and a couple close friends and hold our elopement ceremony. There was plenty of space for everyone and the views of the river couldn't be beat. I will say - heed the warning about the difficulty of reaching the river for a swim. It was really fun for a few of the adults, but the difficulty was too much for some of our older guests and especially the kids. Overall this was a really cool property to spend the week at and we appreciated the quick responses from the host when we had questions. We hope we have the opportunity to stay again!

Beautiful spot, kind of difficult for my grandparents
This was a great property for my family reunion. It had great everything we needed. The only thing that was kind of difficult for my grandparents was that all the bedrooms are either upstairs or downstairs and the bedrooms with their own bathrooms have very high beds. They do provide step stools that go along with them, but was still kind of difficult for then. That being said it was still a beautiful property and a wonderful location for all of us to be at. If only it wasn’t raining the entire time we were there.

Lodge Exceeds Expectations
If you ever wanted to stay in a first class bed-and-breakfast but wanted it to be just you and your friends, then this is the property for you. The lodge has every amenity you could hope for. The views and sounds of the river are even better than the photographs show. Everyone in our group wants to stay there again next year.

If you are looking for a place that provides privacy for guests, while also providing space for everyone to gather and on top of all of that an amazing view with property to explore then this is it! We were looking for just that, for our annual family gathering and found it here. There was truly something for everyone. We had a wonderful time using the well stocked kitchen, sitting at the large dining table playing games and so much eating. It was hard to ever leave but there was also a lot to do in the area. Finally, I'll say that the beds were very comfortable, and the murphy bed in the office exceeded expectations. The office and the whole lodge offer much more space than photos can provide. Do yourself a favor and book here (but not when we want to use it LOL).

Great House For Big Group
Huge, but warm and inviting home in quiet location with great views of Baptism River. The river is really low this year due to drought, but still enough water to swim and fish a little in the river. Close to everything on the North Shore. House is well maintained. Our group of 13 had plenty of room. Our only regret was that it was only available for 3 nights when we came.
