Dont go during a snow storm
PROS:
-Property looks like the pictures, not some cheap materials used in terms of craftsmanship, but hard to knock it as it's just a company-owned/operated rental prop.
-Loft bed was comfortable.
-15 minute drive to Stratton Mtn
- clothes washer and dryer was handy
CONS:
-It is pet friendly and there was a ton of dog hair in the pullout couch. They did not wash the blanket and someone must have used it to dry their dog. It was unbelievably smelly. There was dog hair in the cushions and all around the couch when we opened the couch to sleep and it smelled bad.
-No dishwasher which we thought was strange. They should have had a dishwasher and no oven if anything. I didn't want to be spending time washing dishes on my vacation but had to.
-the loft bed setup looks cool on paper but has some major drawbacks. Its accessed by a STEEP ladder. If you sleep walk you would die. If you slip you could die. Extremely steep and would not be possible for older people or pregnant women. And if you have someone sleeping on the pullout couch on the ground floor, they will need the heat on which makes the loft area extremely hot.
-BUT BY FAR THE BIGGEST ISSUE, ALSO A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE is they didnt plow for us. There was 3 feet of snow on the driveway and I had to jam my car into the snowbank to get it off the main road. I then had to walk up the STEEP LONG hill in the now w/3 small kids and all my bags. They never plowed and told me too bad, not liable.
