Una posada en un lugar difícil de encontrar (El GPS lleva a un lugar a una milla de distancia) que ofrece alojamiento simple y asequible para visitar, principalmente, Durham. El entorno es residencial y no tiene ningún interés. La habitación limpia y agradable para descansar y poco mas. Hay establecimientos con comida para llevar cerca. Desayuno inglés y servicio muy agradable.

Worth returning to!
This is our third stay, and we always come away happy. Very conveniently located for Beamish Included breakfast is excellent Rooms are dated, but the beds are clean and I'm told restoration is underway Staff go above and beyond to help.

A very pleasant stay
Beamish Mary Inn was built in the 19th. century to serve the needs of the quaintly named industrial village of No Place. It seems still to be the village's social focal point with occasional entertainment provided. Once on the main Stanley to Chester-le-Street road the village is now by-passed and quiet but retains a good bus service. It is about a half mile from Beamish open-air museum. One of the two bars has an open fire, the other a cast iron stove. There is a good menu and local real ale available. The proprietor, staff and locals were all very friendly. Our room was a family room with two double beds. It was quite spacious and had a very well constructed and spotless en-suite. We also noticed new double glazing. Light eaters should make this clear at breakfast. The proprietor very kindly gave us each an extra egg when we asked for no sausages! Anything that Beamish Mary lacks in rural charm is more than compensated for by the warm welcome and value for money.

Had a 2 night stay here and nothing to complain about the lass behind the bar on friday when we arrived was most helpful with everything we asked and the breakfast on both the mornings set us up for the day, thanks guys :)

It is a very old property so anyone expecting a 5* look elsewhere. This inn has cracks in the odd wall and the carpets and furniture are not new but everything is so clean, homely and friendly. The food is all home cooked and so tasty. The staff are so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. We would use this inn again in the future.

This is an excellent place to stay if you want to visit the Beamish Museum. The Museum is 20 minutes walk away with good bus options. The staff and owner could not have been more friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and very well priced. Ian's breakfast was cooked to perfection with quality produce that filled you up ready for the day!

Great pub great beer
Excellent host, brilliant staff, and very friendly local customers. Highly recommended, for accommodation if visiting beamish museum, as it’s close enough to walk .

This was our first visit to Beamish Mary Inn. The landlord Simon was marvellous as were all his staff. His son Kevin, who will break some hearts, was lovely and carried our bags to our room. The girls behind the bar were so friendly. You could have a laugh with them. They couldn't have been nicer.They were all so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food was out of this world. A large choice and everything was delicious. The portions were so large. We've never had such value for money. The pub is a local pub and it was wonderful to see the happy atmosphere. All the locals were so friendly. The pub is only 5 mins from Beamish Living Museum so is an ideal place to stay. We loved our time here and hope to see everyone again in the future.

Was what it was
Room was disappointing bo ensuite, had walk across hall to bathroom. Wasn't aware when booking. Evening food menu was good and large portions. Breakfast included but only option of a full English. Staff was extremely friendly.

Wow People don’t read the hotel description.it states a private bathroom not ensuite on our cheapest room (all other rooms are ensuite)For breakfast there is cereal,orange and apple juice tea coffee and a selection of bacon eggs sausages tomato mushrooms homemade bread for toast beans What more can we do for 63 a night for 3people ?

The BeamishMary Inn was basic but clean. What makes it is the staff who were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was good with lovely homemade bread but wasn’t served until around 9.00am we like an earlier breakfast but this is just our preference. The only thing which could be improved is leaving the fire exit details etc in the room. During the night the front door is locked and you have no way of exiting the building. There are fire instructions on the back of the bedroom door but where fire assembly points etc are have faded and are not visible so this needs to be addressed.

Food glorious food
The landlord went beyond the call of duty to provide us with an excellent continental breakfast. The evening dinners were much more than ample the beef and ale pie was reminesent of Desperate Dan's Cow Pie there was so much meat - wonderful.

It was a pleasant enough place with nice large bedroom although rather small en suite. Clean and tidy. We stayed on a Saturday evening and wanted a relatively early start home on the Sunday morning. Being a Sunday morning breakfast could not be served before 9am. In the morning we decided not to wait and were ready to leave at 8am, however, the external doors were locked and we couldn't get out ! Luckily someone turned up about 10 mins later and we were able to leave then.

We are a pub with rooms We do not have 24 hours a day reception.If you had let us know you wanted out at 8am it would of been no problem.But you didn’t. Sorry you waited a whole 10 minutes
