My room itself was okay. Only the bathroom was dirty. But I at 2:30 in the morning, as I was trying to go to sleep, I could hear a couple in the room next to me yelling and fighting so I got barely any sleep. But it was an ok experience.

The front desk staff the only positive thing about this hotel. Room was dirty with paint peeling and dead roaches in the the paint. Bathroom door would not shut at all. Some how I became a witness to a crime where a female was assaulted and I woke up to blood covering the sidewalk in front of my room. My kids were mortified.

Area seemed depressed and motel itself was very dated and I was concerned with safety but the room seemed reasonably clean. Bed was horrible like from the 1960's and uncomfortable. We checked in late and was greeted by a computer because the property was locked so we had to check in that way. That should have been our first clue that we were not in a great area. However, when we left in the a.m. we found an adorable cafe called Call Street Cafe and had a wonderful breakfast.

at first then I told them just cancel if I can’t have downstairs room they put me in the junkiest room with a dog above who just barks all night the mattress is horrible they don’t have and descent blankets and there was rust and mold and a huge hole above shower as well the shower tiles was falling off the wall they sprayed the mold to hide it only thing missing was the roaches which where probably just hiding they ought to be ashamed of themselves this property is ewww!!

My sister’s husband died suddenly, and I had to travel to the Penney Farms area of Florida on March 5th. I reserved a room at a Motel 6 in Starke, through Expedia. The room was awful.. I want my money back. There were two light switches just inside the door. They did nothing. The only place to turn on lights was at the head of the beds. The room was very dark. The only lights in the main area of the room were at the head of the beds. There was no closet. There were no drawers for clothing. The bathroom door was badly broken, and did not close (photo available). Apparently there was, at some time, a ‘sweep’ on the bottom of the entry door. It was missing, and there was a gap at the bottom of the door, the full width of the door. The bottom of the door was about an inch and a quarter or inch and a half above the threshold, open to light, the breeze, and any number of critters. The bathtub was stained, with a number of broken tiles around it. (photo available) I was afraid to take a shower, because the bathroom floor was so wet, with no idea where the water was coming from. Eventually I realized that every time the toilet was flushed, a substantial stream of water sprayed out onto the floor from somewhere beneath the tank. The water was hideously foul-tasting. I had to go to a local grocery to buy water to drink. I left after only one night. They would not refund the remaining 3 nights until I 'got approval' from Expedia.

It was during a cold spell and the heat didn't work, the "hot" water was lukewarm and whoever was in the room next to me must have slept all day because they had people in and out all night, not to mention a dog barking all the time.

Staff was great, just the place had roaches, noisy occupants that were domestically violent, the toilet seat had dried piss on it. Bed was well made but didn’t seem like the linen was washed well if at all.

Very Nice For The Price
This hotel is very nice for the price! Fast, friendly check-in staff. Clean and quiet. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable but I was able to sleep. I will stay here if I am ever overnight in this area again.

The front desk associate was very sweet but the room was extremely humid and the floors felt like there was a layer off oil was coated on the floor. The AC did not feel like it worked. And when picking the hotel we looked for one with a pool for the kids to find out its closed during December when it was never actually posted anywhere on the booking.

My first night there, there was a giant stain on both the pillow and the sheets, with pubic hair and straight up chunks of dirt under the blanket. Had to stay another night and was in a different room. I arrived and there was another sweat stained pillow. I was desperate for sleep so I slept on top of the bed fully clothed.

I checked in very late at night and the check in was amazing, never have seen a check in the way they do it but absolutely loved it! The room was nice overall and spacious. I just think the bathrooms need to be cleaned better or remodeled. Other than that everything went very well! Room was spacious and nice, parking was so easy and the motel was quiet and safe in my opinion.

We checked in at 4pm, put our cooler and a couple bags in the room and left to go get dinner for the 5 of us (2 adult 3 children) came back around 8:30pm and found our door opened (I made sure it was closed before we left) and 2 drug deals going on outside our room. So we loaded up our stuff and I went to check out and request a refund but was told to just call the cops and they would switch our room..... SWITCH OUR ROOM?!?!? My children are terrified because 2 full grown men walked in our room as if they owned the place and wouldn't leave and your best answer is you'll switch our room? Refused to give me a refund stating we had already "used the room" and I would have to come back in the morning to speak to the manager since he wasn't available after 6pm. The only way they handle emergencies is by calling the police. Also stated she couldn't check me out cuz until they did a night audit. So now I have a 5 and 4 year old who are petrified to sleep anywhere else and a janky hotel who gets to keep my money and act like my family means nothing. Clearly Bradford county has gone to hell in the last 5 years. Thank you Motel 6 for reminding me why I will never move back and NEVER stay at a motel 6 again

Check in process was good and the desk clerk was pleasant. The room left little to be desired though. The floor was wet and the room was musty smelling. The electrical outlet boxes were hanging out of the wall. If it hadnt been a long day we would've checked out right then. After a noisy night of no sleep (unit ran all night) I wanted to take a shower. Mistake! After i finally got the water to turn on, it wouldn't shut off!! No matter which direction I turned the knobs. And the tub spigot was sticking out of the wall...the pipe, obviously too long, was showing. I immediately called to notify motel of the water issue and that we were checking out earlierthan planned. In convenient to say the least. I was alsi told that maintenance wouldn't show up until 10am. It was 6am when I called. Water was still running when we left. Very unsafe! Very unhappy! Definitely do not stay here.

The 1st room had cockroaches, we asked to change rooms, which was done, the 2nd room had blankets with cigarette holes and was dirty too ,no bugs were seen.b
