There is an awful smell in the hallway. The first room had soiled or stained linen and the ac was not functioning properly. The second room had a great ac but the pillow cases had stains on them and the cover had cigarette burn holes in it.

Everything was ok Utilities were a little out dated. Room smelled like armpits. WiFi didn’t work. Once I cracked open the window and sprayed my cologne around the room everything was ok.

My stay at the Red Roof Inn was good. The evening and morning staff were very nice, and friendly. I brought my dog, and they were very welcoming of him. This is a good hotel for the price. It's not the Ritz Carlton, but it's newly renovated, clean, and fairly quiet. My only complaint is I could smell marijuana through the vents, and it is supposed to be a "no smoking" facility. Other than that, the stay was good!

The floors were disgusting, I don’t think they are ever mopped. Not once did our room get cleaned or offered fresh/clean towels. The only housekeeping staff we saw was when we checked in and they were loudly bad mouthing another member of the staff. Not very professional. Nasty air filter in the AC, it smelled like old cigarettes all the time. Didn’t feel safe around the hotel, a lot of homeless-looking people hanging around smoking and checking out your belongings when you take them in and out of the car, loud obnoxious music…I could go on and on

Newly remodeled however I saw multiple bugs during my stay. The computer chair was heavily stained, and it was odd that you only had two towels when 4 guest would be on the reservation. I went to the front desk to ask for more towels and they said that they have a problem with people stealing them so that is why I only had 2. The man who checked me in was extremely friendly and the location is great, you can tell they are striving for better just a work in progress.

Unfortunately this was the cheapest hotel for my stay . Arrived and found roaches in my refrigerator. I would of complained but I was certain the staff running the establishment wouldn’t care since they tried to charge me $490 when I booked it for $260. After showing them my receipt they said “oh my apologies we thought you were someone else” Also it’s good I bought my own towels since they failed to bring me new ones daily. So do yourself a favor and stay in your car as you will be better off.

Not this Red Roof Inn
Very sub par for a Red Roof Inn. Low lighting outside (even the Red Roof Inn sign was burned out), inadequate disabled parking space, more run down than other Red Roof Inns we have stayed at. Neighborhood was sketchy. Didn’t feel comfortable. Not good for travelers along the road, which is what we use RRI for. This experience was unusual for a RRI, which are usually nice, clean, and consistent.

Never coming back…
I’ve been waiting for the hotel I stayed at to to contact me back about the issues I had but never heard anything back. I feel ignored and that’s how I felt on my stay and during check out. The lady who was up front was too busy fussing about how she’s the only one who ever does any work and she just gave me nasty looks. I had people come up to my door and try to get into my room which was super scary. There was stains in the bathroom tub which wasn’t the biggest issue, but you can tell the employees do not care about the people who stay with them.

Night front desk guy needs some etiquette
The overall stay was ok. They could have had better housekeeping. In both of my the rooms that I stayed in look like no body every cleaned behind the bathroom d oors. Then that staff who worked the front desk on my stay was a Caucasian older man who thought be was running things. When my daughter and her family checked in This guy had the nerve to say to them no vamping, cigarette smoking and no Marijuana smoking in the rooms right in front of my 10 year old grandchild as if they came there to do drugs. BTW, my daughter and I are African-Americans . My daughter and I tried asking for the owner but front desk staff seem not to know to much English. Whats crazy is, I checked in my room a hour or so before My daughter did and he didnt give me the speach about the rules. Luke I said it was ok but it could have been better.

Would never stay at the Red Roof AGAIN
My family and I drove from Long Island NY to Suffolk VA visiting family. We arrived on a 5 am rainy morning. Even though 3 pm was check-in I was willing to pay early emission until I was rudely greeted. I explain that I had two reservations for Miller. The man at the desk stated and I quote ( check is not until 3 as he pointed to the sign, I explain that I would like to check my reservation, and I offer to give him my confession number and my last name Miller. The man told me if the confirmation number did not start with a current number he didn't want to see it. I explain that I had paid for my room through Hotel.com and asked for him to check again. My daughter also had a reservation and he rudely dismissed her during check behind me. Not one time did he ask me for my ID, while my daughter was on the phone trying to get things straight I explain to the man again that my room is paid for for the forth time. After spelling my last name out the man looked at me and stated that I do have two rooms. He never apologized for being rude, he continued to be rude and unprofessional. I left until 3 pm check-in time. When I arrived back another gentleman was at the front desk. I explain that I had a reservation, and he ask for my ID and completed my check-in with a smile. When I arrived in my room it smelled like mildew, the bed sheets and towels did not look clean. I had to go to Walmart to get towels and sheets. Food was in the refrigerator and food in the freezer. I check out early.

REMODEL MISSED MARK
I have stayed here twice within a month. Pre booked for the price and advertising of remodeling. Well it totally missed mark. The remodel was only done on certain parts of rooms. New headboard, and tv, but old worn out slippery tub (Safety Hazard). Lobby smells of pot, room smelled like mold. There is no air flow. Bathtubs on both visits did not drain due to amount of hair and gunk in drains. No security as front and back doors open not locked or shut 24/7. Common areas dirty and smelly (mold&pot). Just a very disappointing experience that could be better if owners took more pride in the property. Will not be back as I'll pay a little more for others that i know can deliver a better experience.

The room was attractive and up-to-date. However, the odor that filled the room was stifling! It was a smell I didn't recognize. Made us concerned as to what odor they were trying to conceal. The floor had no carpet and felt oily on our bare feet and left them (the bottom of our feet) dirty. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well, however.
