The owners extended gracious southern hospitality and shared history of the house and their work in restoring the it from its dilapidated state to its present beauty and charm. For us it was very convenient and restful as we were in town for a baby shower of a friend the next morning. ”

“Quiet neighborhood just down from the business district. The Congo room is akin to an efficiency hotel room. I enjoyed my stay, the room was comfortable. When I asked how late of a check-out I could arrange before going to a wedding at 6 PM, they said stay as late as I want as the room is not reserved after I leave. Won't get that kind of treatment at any chain hotel!”

“The pictures do not accurately represent this place nor do the other reviews. There were three big issues. The first is that the beds are extremely firm, old, and uncomfortable. The second is that in one of our rooms that faced the street there were no curtains or blinds, so zero privacy. There was also a rolled up, dusty giant rug in the corner of a room. However, the worst part was that there was a horrible and extremely strong chemical perfume smell; so much so that we didn’t even stay the...

“The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated. Everything you could possibly think of is provided; all you need to bring is food. Of course, you could catch your own from the dock. :-) We caught many fish from the beautiful, covered dock. As lovely as the house is, we spent most of our time enjoying nature from the dock or the screened porch. We certainly intend to go back to Papa's Paradise!!!”

“The property was easy to find and was minutes from the interstate. Nice sized lot and room for outdoor activities. There is a grill and a swing. The rooms were spacious and there were extra blow up mattresses. The pull out sofa was not very comfortable though. The place was clean and plenty of things provided like TP, soap and towels. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with plates, glasses and silverware. There was only 1large casserole dish. We have a large family and could’ve used another...
