I want to apologize for any inconvenience that you and your family incurred for this was a very rare situation. We want everyone to have a great experience with us.We pride ourselves on our cleanliness and to take the appropriate steps to prevent any future incidents like this from happening, when a guest informs us of an issue. We have monthly service to prevent this issue. We immediately shut down the room and follow protocol. We take all issues seriously. Regarding compensation, as per our conversation at check out you were given back 20 per night and you agreed. This doesn’t solve the issue yet we felt you should be compensated for the inconvenience and we thank you for bringing this to our attention. Dear Guest,Thank you for your feedback. We regret to hear that you were dissatisfied with your stay at our hotel. We strive to provide a comfortable and pleasant experience for all our guests.However, we did inform you that we detected a strong odor of tobacco in your room after your departure. This is a violation of our non-smoking policy, which was clearly stated at the time of booking and check-in. Therefore, we had to retain the deposit on the room to cover the cleaning costs. We are not trying to be a bad hotel by enforcing our policy. We are simply following the industry standardsWe also explained to you over the phone that the charge for two rooms for one night was correct, and that the other amount was a pre-authorization that would be released by your bank within a few days. This is a standard procedure for all hotels and we have no control over it.We appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter.
