Un hotel muy bonito y muy Ingles
Lo malo es el servicio de comida, no es a cualquier hora y si no llegas a la hora especificadas pues tienes que salir a comer fuera. Fuera de eso, es un hotel pequeño pero muy bonito y con encanto.

One bad staff member,nice hotel and great location
Nice hotel overall, the floorboards creaked on the first floor and room something terrible, to the point that I thought someone was in my room in the night. Breakfast was really nice but pricey. Most of the staff were friendly except one (as I’ve seen on previous reviews) it seems like she’s the one who doesn’t make an effort with customers in the hotel. I would stay again and try and avoid the one rude staff member if possible.

The room i stayed in was tired and in need of some attention, there is no air conditioning in the room and window need some persuasion to open. Fridge was defrosting and potential for micro growth. Had 1 of the nights totally sleepless due to others making extreme noise all night and had to call night security at 3am , Car park very tight, not great if you have a wide car.

Lovely, well equipped, compact room. Some noise from adjoining rooms in the evening, but all quiet throughout the night. The availability of parking was very welcome.

This was a pleasant enough stay. One night. All clean and as expected. Very large room. Good bed. Dinner was good.

We have stayed at The Corner House before always a lovely place to stay. Staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble

We couldn’t open the window in Room 2. We got the secondary glazing opened but then couldn’t get the outside window open. We mentioned this the next morning and we were told it did open but in a way we wouldn’t recognise. As it was very late and I was undressed for bed we didn’t/couldn’t get it sorted. Because of this I didn’t sleep well as I need an open window but we will remember next time we come (which we will) to ask for a room where we don’t have that issue again. Otherwise all good. x

An attractive old building, well maintained, with some nice Gothic revival features. The room was large and the bed comfortable, although as an older property it was a little dated. Car parking was as good as it could be, given the eccentric site, and the extremely narrow exit. But the real glory of this hotel is the restaurant - a very attractive dinner menu with strong French influence, adequate choices and beautifully cooked (no easily prepared burgers or pizzas here) - not quite fine dining, but very high quality. And cleverly, the chef changes 2 or 3 dishes each day, so no problem if you're staying for several days. Breakfast is just as good. Overall, the Corner House is as good as it gets in Taunton within a reasonable price range.

Helpful info
Haven't been here for a few years. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Big downside trying to get taxis at busy times. Pre-booking previous day cutd out sny hassle. All due to trsfvuc in Taunton as no bypasses so everything has to ho through town and causes gridlock. Do not recommend going out alone at night.
