We have stayed at this hotel several times over many years when visiting Tehachapi. The property is always well maintained, rooms clean and comfortable, and the hotel has an above average breakfast menu.

This Best Western was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It is on the main road in Tehachapi which is both scenic and convenient for reaching restaurants.

Not well maintained. First room had sparks flying out of the light switch and after unreasonably being asked to wait for maintenance to come repair the fried electrical panel in the room we had them move us to a room with power. The alarm clock would come on like it was searching for radio stations every 5 minutes or so, so we unplugged it. The TV worked that night but not the next morning.

It’s very dark in the room, not enough lighting, the elevator doesn’t work very well, really like the Jacuzzi and the number of towels.

Check in was easy peasy. We were given an upgrade just because. The room is spacious and very clean. Only wish there was a freezer in the fridge so we could refreeze our blue ice.

Probably a good hotel if you don’t come during the holidays. Felt like substitute personnel. Coffee machine and pancake maker didn’t work. Gym Is ok, but I was missing a mat. Kids friendly.

Nothing wrong with the property or room. The desk clerk, however, was most unhelpful. She said there was no reservation from Expedia on her computer, but conveniently, if I would pay $50 more, she could find a room for me. Getting help from Expedia is next to have to impossible. I'll have to check wit my CC company and dispute the charges.

Great but not as good in the off season
We are always happy to stay at this property. Only feedback this time was that it seemed they dropped the ball on a couple of things because it's the off season and not so many folks were there the night we were there. We did pay a decent amount of money for the night, so it would have been nice to feel like they were still showing a high level of hospitality. The two things: there was no one manning the front desk in the AM. We wanted to see if they could give us change for a twenty so we could leave a tip for the housekeeper. Maybe they could add a bell at the front desk? Also, the breakfast coffee in the big coffee urn was barely lukewarm. It may even have been made the night before? Kudos though as usual to their hot breakfast items, we always really appreciate those.

Front desk had zero customer service skills. The bed and pillow were terrible, extremely hard. The complimentary breakfast was pathetic, the breakfast sandwich literally had mold on the biscuit. I will never stay at this hotel again.
