Serene Relaxing Home Away From Home
I grew up in Tucson and love the desert. Being able to sit out on this idyllic patio and watch birds and prairie dogs from the kitchen window was perfect. Brought my watercolors and sketchpad and with a casita well stocked and comfortable, I could take time just for me….a respite thoroughly enjoyed!

Beautiful Tucson
Lovely Studio with lots of cool décor and cozy blankets. Nice private patio with table chairs and grill. Plenty of storage, space and natural light and everything needed for the kitchen. Large bathroom and walk in closet. Clean clean clean! We really liked the area as it was close to everything. The host and her daughter were great.

Certainly everything we needed was available here. We enjoyed sitting out on the patio, the fully stocked kitchen and appreciated having use of the laundry room. There are a few points for improvement that we hope will be taken as constructive criticism. With the check in information there was no key code to access the apartment and the wifi information was incorrect. A text to Liz after we arrived soon gained us access and the correct wifi info was in the desk folder. I would suggest redoing the folder pages which look shabby and confusing with all the cross outs. Also a scrub around the cabinet pulls would make the kitchen great. We had to ask two different times for a car to be moved in order to use a designated parking space. Our stay was very nice and hope these points will make your place the best!

Just what I needed
I was in town to help my son move out of the dorm at U of A. I was alone the first night, but the extra bed allowed him to stay with me the second night after his bedding was packed. The coffee provided was a life saver!! I enjoyed sitting outside watching the lizards and hummingbirds. Thank you so much Liz.

We needed a place to stay while attending our daughter’s graduation.
We wanted to spend a few extra days just to enjoy Tucson as we used to live here. I did a lot of walking, some hiking, and we enjoyed listening to some live bands in which our host was a bass player and vocalist. It was fun.

Comfortable Casita in Tucson
We loved our month at Liz’ property in Tucson. Everything was clean and well appointed with kitchen, shower and breakfast supplies we needed after flying into town. The location is perfect near the River Trail and stores and shops. There are many wonderful Mexican, French, and Middle Eastern restaurants in 8-12 minute walk. Liz was really helpful in giving local information and also provided guidebooks and maps that we used every day. We would return again and refer the casita to our family and friends for future stays. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The weather in November was perfect for us, like our summer days in the Pacific Northwest.

Lovely Studio Apt.!
This studio is located in a quiet neighborhood and is a very comfortable place to stay for 2-3 people. Liz provides just about anything you could need or want in a rental. I particularly appreciated the "info packet" she had there with a map of the city of Tucson, which really helped us find our way around. We had a little trouble with the key pad door lock and TV controls, but I'm sure that younger or more tech-savy people would have no problems. Overall, I would highly recommend this property!

Thea and Dave are the most delightful couple and lovely guests. I really enjoyed seeing them back in Tucson! They left the studio immaculate and Dave is the best bike mechanic this side of the Rillito Wash! ;) We hope you'll come back for some winter sunshine!

Perfect Location - Cozy and Comfortable Space
My wife and I randomly selected Tucson as a short vacation getaway. We didn't have any place in particular we wanted to visit nor did we have relatives or friends to see. So, we set out to find a place to stay while in Tucson. WE ARE SO HAPPY we chose this place. First, after staying for three nights and literally going to every mountain range, every place we could in the days we had, this nice two-room studio was so perfectly centrally located that we were never too far from anything. We loved the location and how easy it was to get there. Also with the location was the fact that this place is in an actual neighborhood, but the way the place is situated and with the retaining wall in the back, you really feel like you are much more secluded. We really liked that. As far as the amenities, we didn't need much space as we were just planning to sleep there. But we enjoyed the comfy bed, the sofa with a blanket was awesome just before bed to watch a show via the ROKU to relax after a long hike. In the mornings, we enjoyed the selection of coffee, creamer and we used several of the pots and pans to make breakfast. Everything was so handy. Finally, we enjoyed our interaction with Liz, the owner. While we never officially met her, we interacted often as we had many questions. First, we asked about placed to see and restaurant recommendations. Liz was great with that. (We loved El Saguarito - one of her recommendations). Also, after a particularly long hike we asked about using the pool. We enjoyed the pool and the peace and relaxation that went with it. All in all, we LOVED Tucson and the place we stayed and the people (including Liz) that we interacted with were a big reason we enjoyed our time so much.

Centrally located, clean and comfortable
I traveled as a travel nurse for 3 years. For any gypsies looking for Tucson housing, this is a great set up in a good neighborhood close to UMC and TMC. My stay at Liz's place was so enjoyable. Liz was accessible if I needed anything, but the set up of the studio feels very private. My nieces and nephew came on different nights and Liz was very welcoming. We played in the pool, which in Tucson in July was awesome. I had my Aussie dog and it was truly pet friendly. I am from Tucson so I know the area. It is an ideal location, the best farmer's market in Tucson is less than 2 miles away, there are tons of restaurants, it's close to UofA, and Sabino Canyon and Mt. Lemmon are accessible.

Cozy and quiet
Liz is a very attentive host when needed. The place was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you need. Very nice relaxing area with a comfy couch and a TV with Roku. The neighborhood is very quiet and nearby shopping. We felt that the bed was very comfortable...just needed to say that because one post said it was not. Thank you again Liz and if we are in Tucson again we look forward to staying at your studio.

Just right!!.
Just right for my needs, small space, quiet neighborhood and close to the things I needed. The space was clean, neat and nicely appointed with soft towels for the bathroom and for all the basic kitchen needs. The outside covered porch, which faces west, was perfect in the early morning and after sunset. The host was friendly, fun to visit with and committed to making my stay enjoyable. I'll return. The only change I would offer is having access to both sides of the bed (my partner was not with me on this trip and this could be an issue if there are two persons).

Peaceful getaway

Nice, comfortable and great location/neighborhood
We had an enjoyable 2 night stay at Liz's place. The unit is comfortable, nicely decorated and well and thoughtfully equipped. Liz is a super nice person as well. We'd definitely stay here again. The location is convenient to the UofA, downtown and other attractions. There's a Safeway and French bakery/cafe within walking distance and plenty of restaurants and other amenities nearby. We highly recommend considering Liz's place for your stay in Tucson.

Great Value -- Well Equipped
Great alternative to a boring hotel room. The price is comparable to a standard hotel room but you get so much more when staying with Liz. The kitchen is great and the pool was very refreshing. Loading and unloading is very simple and quick. The location was great for us as we were only about 15 minutes from the Finger Rock Trailhead, which is a great hike to the top of Mt. Kimball. Liz is a great host. We forgot our chromebook charger and she was able to lend us her daughter's charger to get us back up to a full charge. Highly recommended.

The studio was cozy, clean, cutely-decorated, and a perfect home-away-from-home for our Tucson biking vacation. The location was in a very quiet residential area, pretty close to a Safeway, Trader Joe's, and a few restaurants. We had everything we needed, including a little kitchen area which allowed us to cook our own meals often. Peaceful home close to all the activities of the Tucson experience.
Just finished a month long stay. The home is located just shy of the foothills of the Catalinas. I needed a place to escape winter; I left this place refreshed and grounded from the long walks and gorgeous weather. Every night I came home to the quiet and peacefulness of Liz’s home. Liz was a gracious and cheerful hostess. The place was tastefully decorated and freshly painted. The grounds are traditional Tucson plantings which draw a variety of wildlife, in particular, Gila woodpecker, doves, Anna’s hummingbirds, mockingbirds and finches. The first morning I awakened to such birdsong that I thought I might be dreaming. The home is near a wash that is a haven for birds. The location is in an established neighborhood close to the Loop making it walkable and bikeable. The busline was so close that I didn't need a car and instead used bus transit and Lyft. I could walk to farmer’s markets, Trader Joe's, restaurants and a pharmacy. The small patio was perfect for eating a late meal and watching the color of the sky change in the distance. The kitchen has everything you would need to prep food and Liz supplied the dish soap, laundry supplies as well as soap and shampoo. I thought that was a nice touch. It was close enough to Tohono Chul Park to take a bus and spend the day in the beauty of some of the largest Saguaro cactus outside of the national parks. Tohono has awesome gift shops, a retail greenhouse and dining on the patio where hummingbirds dash about just behind the restaurant in the hummingbird garden. The studio is bright with a comfy bed, a selection of cozy quilts and enough windows to watch the morning sun stream in - you can close the door to the bathroom if the sun wakes you up. The wifi was very good and I had no problem downloading podcasts or searching for places to go. There are many restaurants close by that were quite good. I liked the coffee shop near Trader Joe's called Caffe Luce. There is a Univ of AZ Extension office that gives tours of a small but extensive garden that is exclusively run by the Master gardener program in Tucson. It is well worth a visit. During the week there is a U-pick farm market for fresh veggies. A mile away is one of the best yoga studios I have been to called Yoga Oasis. They have many classes at reasonable prices and afterward you can hang out on the patio of a lovely coffee shop called Raging Sage or get a craft beer at Crave. I had a wonderful time. Thank you Liz!

A Tucson Gem

We didn't want to leave
We came to hike and explore becoming snowbirds. The location is central to the many parks and downtown and the neighborhood is quiet, so suited us well. Very easy access to groceries and wine. The space is well laid out and very comfortable. The kitchen is well furnished and Liz is a great host. Would highly recommend this rental to couples wanting to explore the area.

Wonderful guest house centrally located
Liz is a great host who responded to all of our needs. The guest casita was charming and in a great location. We were able to go downtown and to the Catalina Mountains within minutes. The guest house was very spacious and had all of the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We will definitely return for a visit.
