Dear Mr. Cabrera: I appreciate the good comments that you added to your review. With respect to the rest of your comments, I must clarify that a lot of them are not accurate. Our rates in Expedia have not been of $165 for a very long time!! Our rates vary according flexible pricing, and I can assure you that the rate that you booked your rooms with was never offered at $165 for the dates that you requested. And as Expedia will never charge you for your reservation, our current policy is to ask for a $75 deposit to guarantee your room. The balance is payable at your arrival during check-in. This is standard policy. You were charged according to the rate that you book your reservation for. In fact, you told the same thing to our manager, Fernando, and when he asked you to show proof of the $165 rate, you were not able to produce it, and instead, you asked him to forget about it. Now, you brought 9 adults with you and several children, and you only booked two rooms. Our rooms can only accommodate 2 adults and a maximum of 2 children. It is specified in our pictures and in our room descriptions. I am sorry that you only wanted to pay for two adults and include more in each room (as per your comment of bringing sleeping bags with you). But it is standard procedure for most hotels to charge an additional fee per additional adult. As far as you not being greeted by anyone at the front desk, I was personally waiting for you to arrive, along with our Chef and our Hotel manager. I am the owner and general director of the property, and I had communication with you during the whole day via WhatsApp. You mentioned that you would arrive late, after your dinner at Fuego and I told you that we would be waiting for you; and we did. In fact, you arrived at almost 11:00 p.m., and at that time, we had no information that you were bringing so many guests with you....we did our best to accommodate for all of your requests immediately. I appreciate your review, Mr. Cabrera, but I do not appreciate that you did not state the facts as they were. Our website and our information in Expedia specifically mention who we are and where we are located. We are proud of the customer service and the attention to detail that we offer. In addition, we go above and beyond to accommodate our guests and in this case, I am so sorry that you, besides all we did for you, were not satisfied. Hopefully your next experience at Valle de Guadalupe will be better. And if you want to give us another try, we will be looking forward to hosting you again.
