Beautiful property and well-kept grounds. It’s a good location with shopping and restaurants across the street. Lava Lava Beach Club is just down the beach. There are only two restaurants. Hawaii Calls is the main one and it’s underwhelming, especially on the service side. The other place is more of a bistro/coffee shop. For what it is, it’s decent. The biggest overarching complaint with the resort is the service and staff. The staff culture is lacking. The pool area is solid, with a kids area that is good for littles. The pool side food service is awful. The resort has an usable pond area before the beach. The beach area has limited old crummy chairs, there are plenty of activities, and the sand is ok. The resort definitely has a few years on it but the 1-bedroom suite that we stayed at on the condo side was well-appointed. The kitchenette had a refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. No stove. The bathroom had a shower but no tub. We had two decks with a partial view of the ocean and pool area. Overall, it’s a great property with below-average service and weak food options on property which is offset by close dining nearby. For the price, I’d stay there again.
