El hotel tiene una ubicación excelente, la habitación es amplia y cómoda, pero el servicio de limpieza del hotel es pésima, de 5 días que estuvimos hospedados solo tuvimos servicio de limpieza, y recambio de toallas limpias y café solo un día, y después de solicitarlo en 3 diferentes oportunidades. Adicionalmente el servicio de valet parking fue más costoso diariamente que e alquiler del carro ($52 por día) sin contar que en muchísimas oportunidades debí estacionar mi carro yo mismo ya que no había nadie que me recibiera el carro, al hacer la observación en el front desk, la respuesta que obtuve fue que “el pago de los $52 era solo por mantener mi carro seguro”, al hacer el check out me dieron una factura adicional de “resort fee” de $35 por día adicionales. En fin tuvimos una experiencia bastante desagradable.

Vistas legendarias, habitaciones espectaculares
Espectacular en todos los sentidos. Dentro de uno de los edificios más icónicos de la ciudad, con acabados y detalles de primer nivel. Mi habitación con vista al río fue memorable. Amplia, silenciosa muy comida y espectacularmente decorada. Sin duda, mi estancia más memorable en esta ciudad. La alberca de muy buen tamaño para nadar, el personal muy amablem en especial Alex en recepción. OjO: debido a la pandemia, no cuentan con restaurante por el momento.

Do not bother going to Kingbird, the food was mid, service slow and we saw a mouse. My king suite was spacious, water pressure was great but it was so noisy (inside the hotel). My massage was great but the spa was in the basement and smelled like mildew. The spa definitely needs a renovation. For a website that advertises being "unapologetically luxurious" they have a lot more to go before getting to luxurious

Excellent location on the river within a few minutes walk to Georgetown to great shops and restaurants. If you are up to walk, landmarks and museums are 20-30 min walk or a short 6-10 minute Uber ride. Room was clean; staff was extraordinary. Some wear and tear/age to carpets and furniture in room.

My flight was delayed so I didn’t get to the hotel until a bit before 10 pm. When I checked it, I was offered room service to order to ensure I could get some food before the kitchen closed for the night. Loved my stay and look forward to staying there again.

I had someone come into my room because the front desk card key was down so they gave someone the key to my room. It happened twice. The phone was not working. They had one working elevator. Housekeeping came in and put the washcloths on the floor and didn’t replace them. We waited for over an hour for replacements. We got back to the room and our door key wasn’t working we had to go all the way back to the front desk waiting for the elevator for a long time just to get new keys.

We had high hopes with our stay at the Watergate being one of DC’s 5 star hotels. The valet staff who greeted us were very helpful. The front desk staff was mostly mumbling through the details during our check in process and I wasn’t able to get a map for the city when I requested one. One day we returned to find someone else’s old, dirty hair brush on the desk in our room. I tried to bring that to housekeeping’s attention and wasn’t able to run into one housekeeping staff who can speak English for our entire multiple nights stay. Other than one day, we never return to the hotel room with ice in the ice bucket and couldn’t locate an ice dispenser. We found food crumps in between the mattress and the night stand that were very easily observable. One of the usb slots between the beds is so loose it barely holds the plug in, while the other slot just doesn’t work. The electric plug area behind desk was covered with a thick layer of dust while we plugged our laptop in. Used robe on floor and toiletries were not replaced. Trash can was placed on top of toilet. During checkout, I went to the front desk to notify them of my departure time and the time to retrieve my car, but was told I should call from room instead. I returned to room to find the phone doesn’t work. I have to borrow a phone from housekeeping working in another room to call the front desk. Car returned with a light scratch. This stay fell short of my expectations from a 5 star hotel in an international city.

Definitiv kein 5 Sterne Hotel. Das Hotel profitiert nur von der Watergate Affäre, anders würde es nicht überleben können. Der Eingangsbereich ist super modern gestaltet, doch sobald man in die Stockwerke der Zimmer kommt, sieht man das abgewohnte und richtig alte Hotel. Unser Zimmer war groß und im 14. Stock (letzte Etage). Die Klimaanlage konnte leider zuerst nur kühlen (bei 4 Grad draußen). Nachdem wir zwei Techniker da hatten, die die Platte über der Anlage komplett aus der Wand rissen, funktionierte es wieder. Jedoch ab dieses Zeitpunkt heizte die AC ununterbrochen, auch wenn sie ausgeschalten war - kühlen konnte sie nicht mehr. Bei Abreise hatte das Zimmer 28 Grad. Das Zimmer war auch staubig, die Tapeten kaputt und die Lichter flackerten. Das Bad war eiskalt, die Fliesen hatten keine Fußbodenheizung und generell keine andere Heizung, nur eine extrem kalte Abluft. Der Service in der Whiskey Bar war auch absolute Katastrophe. Never ever würde ich dort nochmal einchecken. Für 400$ pro Nacht ein Wahnsinn, vorallem weil es komplett abseits liegt. Keine Ahnung warum dieses Hotel 5 Sterne bekommen konnte.

We had a nice quick 1 night getaway and enjoyed our stay. Everyone that works at the property is extremely kind and attentive from the front desk to the valet to the bartender. We enjoyed the pool area but the hot tub was kind of a very warm small pool and there were a lot of kiddos around so it’s not super relaxing but we still really enjoyed it! (only mentioning this for those who are expecting a quiet hot tub scenario). We enjoyed drinks in the bar before going out for dinner downtown and they were delicious! I would stay here again. View of the river from our room was really great- I wish I brought my binoculars for bird watching!

The most beautiful hotel I’ve ever been too. We stayed in the presidential suite. Absolutely beautiful and amazing. Staff was incredible, fat and friendly! 10/10
