Atencion de primera.
En lo que respecta al hotel todo ha resultado excelente. Tuvimos un inconveniente totalmente ajeno al hotel (un accidente de ski) y por esa razón no pudimos disfrutar plenamente del hotel. Pero ha sido remarcable la predisposición y compromiso con que el staff del hotel nos ayudó en todo lo que surgió tras el accidente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente. Lo único que puedo aportar a quienes consulten esta opinión es que no es posible acceder a las pistas de ski directamente desde el hotel. Es necesario caminar en total unos 400m antes de poder estar efectivamente esquiando. Al regresar, el trayecto hasta entrar al hotel es un poco menor. Pero tampoco se puede ingresar esquiando.

Excelente hotel
El hotel esta ubicado en lugar increiblemente bueno, desde las habitaciones se domina todo el pintoresco pueblo de Zermatt y sus montañas, especialmente el Matterhorn. La atención es excelente, muy personalizada. Muy buena la comida y la disposición de todos sus ambientes. Tiene una excelente relación precio/calidad. Por medio del ascensor y el simpatico tunel se accede fácilmente al centro, pero a la vuelta de tiene toda la vista del pueblo en las montañas. Es la segunda vez que vamos a Zermatt en esta época y realmente es un destino muy recomendable. Esperamos volver muy pronto. Quiero destacar la amabilidad de las personas de la recepción y del comedor, lo hacen sentir como en su casa. Todo esto es sin duda obra de la familia que maneja ese establecimiento. En sintesis, muy recomendable.

We absolutely loved this hotel! The staff was amazing and so kind. The views were incredible! Food was also incredible including the breakfast included with the stay!! We had to leave super early our last day for a train and they even packed us breakfast bags for the go which was so sweet and made our early morning easy and delicious! Only complaint is the shower. I don’t know if all rooms have it but it’s just a handheld shower head on the wrong side making it difficult to shower and get water all over the floor. So some shower updates and this place would be perfection!

The setting and the views from this hotel are amazing. It is, however, overpriced for what you get--the facilities are starting to show their age. My room--105--had no view, had a terrible shower, and was in real need of a makeover. For three hundred bucks a night for a single I expected much more.

Excellent stay over Christmas
Excellent location, easily walkable once you know about the tunnel and dedicated lift. Breakfast selection was good, the in-house restaurant is also worth a visit (we enjoyed our dinner there very much). The view from the restaurant is another positive point. The staff (hotel and restaurant) was overall very friendly and professional. Our room was in the 'Charm' category, i.e. there are upgraded versions available. We found it more than acceptable in terms of size, comfort and amenities. We had an excellent stay in Zermatt and the hotel played its part. We would definitely consider coming back

Weg vom Trubel
Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel mit Blick auf das Matterhorn und gut besonnt. Weg vom Trubel und trotzdem ideal gelegen und über Lift im Berg vom Dorf und Bahnhof gut erreichbar. Sehr freundlicher Service.

This is a great little hotel with superb service. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The rooms are well laid out and comfortable. The view of the Matterhorn is magnificent.

Super séjour
J'ai passé un merveilleux séjour à l'hôtel Schönegg à Zermatt. La terrasse est magnifique, le spa est top, les chambres sont nickel, le service est impeccable et très sympathique. Les chiens sont les bienvenus et sont très bien accueillis aussi. Super expérience à Zermatt, je ne peux que recommander.

Notre séjour s'est déroulé à merveille. L'offre dans son entier était à la hauteur avec un service des plus avenant. N'hésitez pas à faire appel au portier pour le transfert depuis la gare.

Room (in Petit Chalet, a suite) was beautifully decorated and spacious, good value for money. However, we needed more shampoo, and duvet covers had scorch marks. Breakfast was good, but not varied at all.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Schonegg
I just had an amazing stay at Relais & Chateaux Schonegg!!! There are not enough words to describe the outstanding customer service I received from Shuara, Cristina, and Bastian! Their genuineness to ensure I had a wonderful stay was incredible. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, and one could truly just sit on their patio, and have one of the best views of the Matterhorn. The spa is also incredible, and a great way to relax after winter hiking or skiing. I5 is a beautiful property, and I cannot thank the staff enough for making me feel at home in their beautiful hotel!

Beautiful Hotel and Impeccable Service
This is a beautifully kept hotel overlooking Zermatt and the Matterhorn, and conveniently next to one of the ski lifts. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful - they even provided detailed recommendations on which area had the best snow conditions for skiing. The breakfast had a large variety of high quality foods. Minor details that could be improved on - we had to request that some of the toiletries be replenished; some of the bedding was threadbare/had small holes. These things are so minor though they did not take away from our experience. We look forward to staying here again.
