Back Room Downtown Unit

The Back Room is modern apartment located behind Americana, a locally owned Aveda Salon and Barber in the heart of downtown Alpine. Newly renovated, the Back Room has all the amenities to make your stay comfortable. It is within walking distance from the train station, restaurants, bars, shops in historic downtown & Murphy Street! Perfectly situated, Alpine is the hub of the Big Bend region situated to explore Marfa, Fort Davis, and Big Bend National Park. Come stay with us!

The apartment is all yours.

The Back Room is located in downtown Alpine in the back of the Salon Americana.

The Back Room is within walking distance from the grocery store, several restaurants, bars, shops and historic downtown and Murphy Street.

The Back Room is located just a few blocks from the train station. The train rolls through town a few times a day. It can be a bit noisy, but ear plugs are provided with each stay for those light sleepers.

PET FEE - Please add pets to your guest list and a $40 pet fee will be added to your total.
Pet friendly - $40 flat rate pet fee.
**Please Note** Pets may not be left unattended in rooms if they cause noise or disturb the peace by barking. Thank you!

No smoking (of ANY SUBSTANCE) in unit. A charge of $100 will be added for smoking in the lofts.

Big Bend Prep Area
The Downtown Back Room was very nice. It had everything we needed and nothing we didn't. It was very convenient to all of Alpine and we did enjoy the off street parking. The only thing lacking was some way to wash the few dishes we used. We would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful and friendly stay in Alpine
Everything was amazing...the room's AC kept us nice and cool at night, the bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water! :) We had never visited this part of Texas and Alpine is the perfect point to visit McDonald Observatory, Ft. Davis, Marfa, Balmorhea State Park and Big Bend. April was a wonderful hostess. She was immediately available by phone or text to answer any questions we had. The purpose of our trip was to do something on Memorial Day weekend to honor our son who was an Air Force fighter pilot and died 5 years ago. April gave us a beautiful flower arrangement and a sweet card in his memory. Our Mission was accomplished in this beautiful and friendly town of Alpine and the surrounding areas. We will be back! Thank you, April!

Nice few days stay in the area and perfect for a weekend stay if you want a small space!
The property was a great size for two people. We did find someone else’s clothing just handing out on the ground (a large pink tank top) in the room which made it feel unsanitary so we cleaned everything. But overall it was clean and the owners didn’t mind our pups ! Great for the area !

Wonderful Home away from home
Had a wonderful stay at the Back Room. I was in town visiting friends and this was a very comfortable place for my puppy dog and I. Bars, restaurants, coffee, and grocery all within walking distance. Great off street parking and a great place to take the dog out is just across the street. I will definitely book here again.
