The hotel is a short walk from the central station. Staff were helpful and professional. Room was good with comfortable beds and attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent.

Hotel was lovely, my room was really sound proof barely heard a thing and genuinely one of the best hotel showers i’ve had, simple set up but the water pressure was amazing!! Would definitely come back again.

Highly recommended for short/solo trips
Comfortable single bed. A couple of outlets not working, but enough working ones that this wasn't really an issue. The room was clean and tidy and well enough equipped for short to medium stays. Staff were all amenable and helpful - Camilo in particular was fantastic. A small but absolutely serviceable complementary breakfast buffet, and a selection of drinks available to purchase at reception. The central location was fantastic, and there was no traffic noise in the room. For a small hotel it covered all the basics really well and I would definitely recommend for short or solo trips.

This is my second stay and it is the most welcoming, comfortable, haven-like place - and yet still in the middle of a great area to explore, walkable to most sights in the center of town. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, always willing to offer recommendations off the beaten tourist path. The breakfast is delicious and the little courtyard is a peaceful place to enjoy it! I will be back !

It's a small albeit very nice hotel located in the heart of Gothenburg. Everything is near by. Central station is in less than 10 min walk. Two tram station are on the block. The room was nice and very clean (and I mean very clean). The bathroom was of a decent size and had everything one can expect from a hotel of this level. Bed was comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful, all recommended restaurants were really good. Hotel doesn't have an elevator which should be accounted for by anyone who travels with a stroller or heavy bags as the stairs are pretty steep. The weak spot of the hotel was breakfast. It was very limited, particularly if compared with a typical Scandic's one. This hotel is certainly a good place for a short stay.

We loved staying at Hotel Vanilla! The old part of Göteborg is a very walkable. The hotel is centrally located close to the main train station and all of the historic sites in the area. Property has some old world charm and is clean. Daily breakfast was great - yogurt with granola, ham and eggs, breads/jam, coffee, etc. Our room was on the second floor (there's no lift) overlooking the street (which I like), great natural sunlight and love being able to people watch. Linens were very soft, room and bathroom were spacious. The shared bathroom and rest areas for all guests were very clean! Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Price cannot be beat. When we visit Göteborg next, we will definitely stay here.

A lovely hotel in Gothenburg that was perfect for our young family. The staff were very happy to accommodate our toddler's needs, and the room was very generous in size. Lovely breakfast and plenty of options that suited adults and children. It is a great location and made exploring Gothenburg very easy!

stayed four days at the hotel and there is a truck that comes early in the morning around 5am to 5.30am to empty the trash of the building, (or the building next to it) making a lot of noise in the wee hours of the morning. Wont recommend this place for light sleepers. Walkable distance to the station with nice shops in the neighbourhood. Breakfast is a bit too simple with not much varieties.

Good stay
A good value place for the money. It has everything you need and the staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the new members of staff helped me book a taxi and spent almost 30 minutes on the phone and there was many difficulties with the taxi company. I would highly commend this place.

We stayed at Hotel Vanilla twice during our stay, all the rooms are unique, clean and stylish. The staff are lovely and helpful and the breakfast is delicious. Great central location, super affordable, we will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely loved it here! Adorable theming and cozy amenities in the room and around the hotel. So comfortable, spacious room, beautiful lobby and art throughout the property and nice to be able to have the breakfast out in the courtyard. My one suggestion would be to check in on the floor light - it was a safety feature to remind about a step being there but it clicked on and off at will.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful, and in different circumstances, I would have rated it much higher. But at the time of my stay (July 2022), there was construction across the street that wills me at 6:30 a.m., then continued nonstop after about 7:00. If you’re an early riser, then I highly recommend this; otherwise, be forewarned.

Fantastic place to stay
Lovely hotel, ideally situated for almost everything. Whatever isn't in walking distance is easily reached from the excellent transport links. For my wife and I the only issue we could find is the mattress was a bit soft for our liking, but I'm sure for many it's perfect. We didn't need to consider this but access to the whole hotel is via steps. I didn't see any wheelchair accessible entrance or bedrooms so please check if you need these facilities. Very happy to say I'd certainly go back.

We had a great stay at Hotel Vanilla. Room was clean, spacious and warm, with lovely big windows so it was nice and light. We expected it to be a little basic given that it was one of the cheaper options but we were very pleasantly surprised! Breakfast each day was basic but lots to choose from and nice, and the staff were very helpful with impeccable English. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gothenburg!

The Hotel is in a great location and the rooms are fine. The staff is very nice and helpful. All good, except that there is NO ELEVATOR and carrying our bags up to the second floor was pretty annoying.

Good hotel in central Gothenburg
Very well located, clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast had also nice options but the coffee was very bad (I can't even understand how it can be that bad). It also didn't feel Covid-19 safe, the reception and restaurant were full of people, not really ventilated... Rooms are quite small but ok for one night.

Quirky, little gem
This is a fabulous hotel full of quirks and originality, I just love it! The place is spotless, staff are very attentive and professional and the breakfast was amazing. I also really liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Location is excellent close to bus station and the train station too.

Lovely little hotel in the center of Gothenburg. Friendly staff, very service minded. Only negative matter was the coffee at breakfast (yikes)! Easy to fix as there is a coffee shop across the street😀
