No lighting outside the room so was a bit tricky finding the lock; washing machines not operating properly and didn't spin the water out of your clothes; information book said washing machines and dryers were free due to COVID but we still had to pay for the dryer; insufficient toilet paper in the room and had to go search for some from the shared facilities amenities room; empty handwash in the bathroom on arrival; a bleached hand towel so although clean it looked awful; hot water ran out in the afternoons.
Bed was great; TV was a good size; room was a good size

As you approached me many times during your 3 day stay and did not hesitate to come to my door at any time I am surprised you didn't bring up any of these issues at the time. I understand you were upset when you requested to extend your stay and I could not accommodate you as we are fully booked but am having trouble understanding why you would ask to stay longer if you were so unhappy
The room needed a fan to circulate the air. The wall are quite thin, we could hear the people next door. But for an overnight stay and the friendliness and helpfulness of staff, it was brilliant. The common area was great for a larger group.

Thanks so much for your feedback. We are having a ceiling fan installed in that room today.
The room was exactly as shown on internet but as a single older female I was not comfortable with the lack of security on the door (bolt but not hole, half a chain lock but not the second part) and the fact that there was no privacy from the communal area into my unit through the window so I had to leave the curtains drawn the whole time. I left early.

As it is a secure, gated complex with a live in caretaker, you were perfectly safe. Had you discussed your concerns with us at the time we could have explained that.
As for having to keep the curtains drawn. I should think that any guest, staying at any motel would have to draw curtains for total privacy.

Not a lot to like. Very noisy from other guests and a very strange layout and design

Noise from other guests is one reason why we have a live in caretaker. So you can call reception 24/7 and say, "There is excessive noise" then our caretaker can sort it out straight away. I can not stress enough to let us know at the time. There really is nothing we can do about it now.
When we first arrived we were a little surprised as we had never stayed in a place quite like it. Shared washrooms and the rooms and windows open up into the hallways. We very quickly settled in. Melissa the caretaker was so welcoming and we met some new friends in the shared dining area. In the end we had a wonderful stay. I would stay here again

Good afternoon, hopefully you enjoyed your stay when we sorted out your accommodation. There must have been a system error. Office hours are 8am till 8pm Monday to Sunday what time were you looking for someone? The cafe out the front is not run by the Tropical Lodge it is leased out to different owners so we are sorry they were not open to accommodate you for breakfast. We are now offering a Continental Breakfast for an additional $15 per person. Please feel free to contact us if there are any other issues you would like to let us know about.
Kind Regards

I’ve enjoyed staying a few times now and haven’t been disappointed. The In-house Indian restaurant was handy and had good food and service too. The rooms are comfortable enough to stay more than one night.

We only slept there, which was very comfortable. We did the tourist thing

We hear you! Unfortunately if there was a pool the extra cost would have to be passed to our guests. We like to keep it affordable. Instead we direct our guests to one of the many crystal clear swimming spots nearby.
Bonne ambiance grâce à l'espace extérieur couvert qui permet de regarder la TV sur un grand canapé, ou de discuter avec les autres clients en faisant un bbq. La chambre manque un peu de chaleur : néon au plafond, et pas de lamp de chevet.
