-Hotel has spacious rooms, though decor is dark and dated and is in clear need of a revamp. -Location is downtown and if you are unfamiliar, it can feel rather 'unsafe' as there were always a few homeless lingering around the hotel entrance and nearby bus stop, asking for 'change'. -Front desk/Reception Staff seem demotivated and don't provide the naturally customary welcome/Reception service that you receive at IHG hotels.

Excellent location if you are attending an event at the XL Energy Center. Staff is friendly and kind. The restaurant has great food. Pool is a little small with strong chemicals. Parking was easy and convenient.

Perfect Location For Events at the Excel Energy Center. We attended the 2024 NCAA Frozen Four Hockey Tournament. Many desirable restaurants & bars along West 7th Street. We were pleased with Louis Ristorante & Waldmann's Brewery. Helpful Staff supported an Early Check-In. Real Breakfast, ordered off a menu, at no extra charge, for each morning of the stay. (Note that this may require membership in the IHG Rewards program.) Nice Package Deal on Expedia combined Air & Lodging.

We could see the Xcel Center across the street from our window, couldn’t have had a better experience for a place to stay going to a concert. Parking was easy, pulled in to check in and they give you a pass to park in the garage next to each he hotel. Lots of dining options close, we will definitely be back time we come to a concert at Xcel!

Very clean hotel, our room was quite loud from the hallways and from outside but other then that the room was nice and clean and the hallways smelled nice. We had a game to get to at 3 so its nice they let people check in a little early on game days.

Hi Scott,We're actively replacing our desk lamps with ones that have usb ports, and we have multiple staff on site 24 hours a day who can ask any noisy neighbor to quiet down if you just let us know. Easy access to River Centre. Secure self parking (I hate valet parking), room was nice. Front desk was helpful and professional. Bed wasn’t as comfortable as I would expect for an updated room but it was fine. Shower faucet worked but needed some maintenance. I could hear everything going on in the hallway. Luckily there wasn’t a rowdy group on my floor.

Stayed here for the Saint Paddy’s day parade. It was a great hotel and I loved that there was a bar inside the hotel so we didn’t have to walk around too much at night.

This is a lovely hotel right across from xcel energy center. Close to restaurants. Wild Bills was fabulous. The staff was very accommodating when we had to add an extra day.

Great location to the Xcel Energy Center. However, we had a room on the second floor right above the bar, and it felt like the party was in the room. Two sleepless night, but other than that, ot was great. Would stay again, but would request a room on the other side of the building and on a higher level.

It was a very busy time due to state wrestling, staff did their best to keep up. It was extremely convenient to get to the Xcel and to area restaurants.

The property was very clean and well maintained. We went to an event at the Excel Energy Center and this location was very convenient as it is right across the street. We went to Wild Bills Saloon in the hotel after our concert and had a great time there as well.

Great service, comfortable, quiet room. 4.5 Stars
There was a state cheer tournament AND a MN Wild game going on, and I still didn’t notice much noise, so that’s great! Bed was comfortable, and we slept well. Staff was very friendly both at check in/out, and at the restaurant. The only negative is that there was a room service door hanger for breakfast - it said fill it out and hang it on the door by 3am to have breakfast delivered. When we woke up, it was still on the door. Not sure if this service isn’t actually offered or if it was an oversight. We hadn’t allotted a lot of time to eat, thinking this would be fast, but fortunately had just enough time to get food in the restaurant before we had to leave.

Clean, friendly staff
Location is excellent! Walkable to the X and many restaurants. Staff was always really friendly and accommodating. Gave us a shuttle ride to our venue whe we asked. Parking is the only tricky part. You’re supposed to pull in, check in, then park in the ramp. Also you have to keep your ticket to get back into the ramp. However Holiday Inn doesn’t own the ramp, so none of this is their fault. It’s just tricky. Hotel will reimburse you for most of the parking if you check in first.

The room was dirty with crumbles in the bed even though we did not eat in the bed! The breakfast was excellent and check in was easy BUT the overall condition of the bedding was unacceptable!

All the service stop was great, but there was one lady at the desk when we were there that made up for the good service. She quite literally almost ruined the whole trip by being so rude!!
