Jan 31, 2020Do not go despite what you may hear locally. Sulpher warnings going off and the volcano is active. It is sincerely a health hazard even though they restrict to 20 minutes. Also, do not go if handicapped. In an emergency you can not get out fast enough and it is not handicapped equipped.

Dec 24, 2019Was somewhat disappointed. Needed a reservation to get in, $15/pp, there is one hike you can take in a group to the volcano, and you are limited to 20 minutes at site. Nothing else to do or see, no restaurant at our time of visit.

Jul 15, 2019Essentially closed due to activity. Paid $15 and for parking for a 20 minute visit. Can’t even walk up the steps for a higher view. Pretty much not worth it this time of year due to cloudiness.
