LAKE house weekend
Very impressed with how accommodating the hosts were and the overall property and interior. We had a blast going to swim in the lake and watch movies together at night. We will be coming back :)

Very comfortable
Three couples in town for a wedding. Kitchen well equipped, house very clean, lake location and dock excellent. But, don't forget to bring bath soap and soap for kitchen sink - not provided. Otherwise, an excellent choice and would rent again without hesitation. Caveat: kitchen and dining area are on second floor so if stairs are an issue for anyone in your party, this would not be a good house for you.

Awesome experience !!
This was a family vacation including 3 children. The property was amazing and all it was advertised to be plus more. It was the perfect size for our family and had all the amenities we needed. The boat dock/slip was perfect as we had our boat and the swim platform was perfect for the kids. The kitchen had all that was needed and very nice appliance. The house was exceptionally clean. The communications with the owners were excellent. We would HIGHLY recommend this VRBO to anyone and hope to be able to stay here agin.

Kayak Lake Adventure
Amazing property on Upper Lake Keowee. Fantastic home with incredible views of lake and dramatic sunsets. Home has great floor plan with upper floor for kitchen and master suite. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms on lower floor great for privacy. Fully furnished kitchen with everything you could possibly want. A very quiet location. I am already planning a return visit !!!!

Beautiful quiet home
Perfect for our family of four! Beautiful views from every room and tv’s in each bedroom! (+ for us) Foosball table was so fun after an all day excursion in our boat rental. Dock was amazing and a bonus we could pull the boat under its cover. The hike up the hill is not for the faint of heart but you can drive closer if needed! Everything you could possibly need is in the kitchen and we really enjoyed the variety of coffee/ espresso machines!! Grill temp was a little difficult to regulate but we used it multiple times. Only thing I wish they had was a porch swing. Only problem I would foresee for future renters is the kitchen is upstairs from the front and back doors so be prepared to go up a lot of stairs even inside the house (we had 2 heavy coolers with our food and drinks for 10 days) Host was quick to answer questions and see how we were doing:) plenty of linens towels and blanket, toiletries and hand dish and laundry soap Hope to stay here again!! Thanks for an amazing week!!

Family Reunion
This property is great for families with kids. We rented a boat and enjoyed having our own dock. The kids went down to fish every morning and evening. The house was stocked with everything we needed, including lots of extra pillows and blankets.

Great 4th of July stay
We had a great time at this wonderful lake house. It has some great views and the house is in a great location. Host has great directions and the house had so many amenities. Loved the outside space and foosball table. The kids and adults loved it.

Great House & Location!
Great house! Located on Lake Keowee and has everything you could want or ask for. Fully stocked kitchen with all the cooking utensils needed for big family meals. The two floors of living space give everyone their space while providing plenty of room and seating for gatherings. The beds were comfortable. We brought our boat, and the dock was perfect. We would stay here again.

Amazing Home!
The home was amazing! Until repairs are made to the boat lift and jet ports people should be fully aware of the dock situation. The dock is located in a high traffic area on the lake. The wake is very violent on the dock and the lift and jet ports are absolutely needed to protect boat and wave runners from damage. None of the equipment was working on our stay. Everything else was excellent and would definitely consider staying at this property again.

Thank you for staying with us and your review. Our dock did suffer some damage. Hopefully the management company advised you prior to your visit. As of this writing repairs have been made to the swim platform and the jet ports have been replaced. The boat slip is usable but we are waiting for the dock repair company to remove the lift.

Amazing stay on Lake Keowee
Can't say enough about the owner. He met us on day one, gave us a quick tour, valuable tips and checked in on us with water level reports since we brought a boat and two jet skis. House was beautiful, clean and in an excellent location. Close to boat landing, party cove, gas, ice and Jocassee. Hope to return soon. Thanks again for sharing your little piece of paradise and my favorite area of the house---the upstairs porch with a view of both the mountains and the lake!

Perfect place to unwind!
We chose this place because it was secluded and away from the typical “party lakes”. We wanted scenery and a place to getaway from tourist! This was the place and more! It is very secluded and quiet! My son loved finding wood and making fires in the fire pit, the kids loved playing on the sandbar by the dock, and the boat/dock was what we needed to layout and park the boat. The hike up the hill was okay. We thought it was great exercise after eating/drinking too much, but the golf cart path or the side road that joins the property in front was convenient. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of linens and towels! We brought our own food from home to grill out every night and unplugged! :)

A Beautiful House in the woods - on a lake.
Excellent condition of kitchen, rooms, baths and porches. The location was perfect for morning coffee on the upper level porch, the dock was good for sunning and swimming. The cottage is tucked into the woods, hence, is quiet and peaceful.

Christmas at Keowee
This property was perfect for our Christmas getaway. Everything was as described, an abundance of towels and all you would need to not have to scramble to get to a store for typical kitchen necessities one would need for an extended stay. The view was so very enjoyable and secluded enough to sit by the fire and not hear any neighbors. There are plenty of seating options out back to accommodate a large group, as well. A short walk to the boat dock, you can see the bottom of the lake as you walk across the connecting bridge. Hot showers were nice with all the space in all 3 showers!! An abundance of seating if you have a bigger group. The owner of this property is exceptionally warm and inviting after booking and communication was fantastic. If thinking of booking this place, it is definitely worth your while!! Looking forward to possibly booking in the summer!!

We loved everything about this place! It was beautiful, the weather was glorious and the leaves are changing. The water we have never seen so clear in a lake. The house was very well-kept and clean. One thing that could be an issue is that I had injured my leg before coming. The kitchen is on the second floor and the only way to get there is up a flight of stairs. So that could be disclosed somewhere. However we would definitely come back as it was such a relaxing vacation. We had to change dates and the owner was very accommodating!

Great clean house with a view to remember. Yes the house sits up about 100 yards from the lake, but that’s how you get the view. We used our boat and stored it at the dock provided. It was everything we expected and more. Thank you!

Second Time as Good as the First!

Beautiful & Relaxing spot on Lake Keowee
Our family of 8 was hoping to catch some rest and relaxation before the kids head off to school, and this newer home on Lake Keowee far exceeded our expectations. The layout of the house itself was perfect for our family, providing more than enough space to both gather and spread out. The kitchen and its amenities are high-end with everything you could need. The views from the home are spectacular, with the mountains in the background over the lake. leading to amazing sunsets. We loved the dock area and spent most of our time in or about the water. We had great experiences renting boats/jet skis from Sunset Marina and Endless Adventures and found it super convenient to tie up to dock. Overall, couldn't have been a nicer time and we will definitely consider renting this home again. Thank you!

Lake getaway 2021
This house is awesome for both friends and family. The upstairs master is huge and the downstairs would be perfect for younger children. Having a bathroom per bedroom was so nice. The kitchen has almost every appliance and utensil you could need. The house is far from the dock but the frontage road helps because the hill from the frontage road to the house is the steepest. Overall, very beautiful house.

Great house!
We had a great time at this house! In addition to being on Lake Keowee, it’s close to Lake Jocassee and Devil’s Fork State Park as well as Seneca and Clemson. We really enjoyed the views from the upstairs porch. The house was very nice and we will definitely look to book it again when we’re back in the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Little Disappointed
The house itself was beautiful, but it’s actually located across the street from the lake. It’s on a really steep hill, and the property where the dock is located is owned be someone else. I had my senior citizen father with me and he couldn’t make the walk to the lake and we couldn’t park his car near the lake. The property description should have made that more clear. We also found an iPad beneath the covers of a made up bed from the previous guest. That leads me to believe the cleaners did not strip the beds and change the sheets, otherwise they would have found the iPad. The thought that we were probably sleeping on dirty sheets grossed me out and made me upset that I payed a cleaning fee. I should get that money back. Oh, and the house is not easy to find. ShallowFord bridge continues in front of the house but you have to fork off to get to get to the driveway which is on the backside and it is not marked. We were pulling a boat and it’s a very narrow road with no turnaround if you miss the fork so you can imagine my frustration when I continued right on past the house. Needless to say I’d never rent this home again.

Thank you for staying with us. I am sorry to hear some of your expectations were not met. Hopefully I can address some of the issues. The waterfront and the dock pictured in the listing are fully owned by this property as well as the picnic area and stepping stones into the lake. I don’t understand why you had a different understanding. The home does sit a top a lakeside butte and is connected to the lakefront with a paved golf cart path. There is day parking just off the lower private road near the lake. This allows access without having to go up or down the hill, as well as get heavier items or lake toys closer to the lake. We have a description of this in the online welcome guide. We also have a drone video in the listing to help guests get a better feel for the exterior of the property and setting. The golf cart path was added after the drone video was filmed. The water level is much higher than the day of drone filming. The home undergoes a rigorous cleaning after each guest stay including a complete changing of all linens. We will convene our house cleaning staff to review your issue. The location of the home can be a little imprecise on google maps. We have a location description in the online welcome guide. We will review and see if any additional information can be added for clarity. We also welcome guests to reach out to our management team before and during and after guests stay for any information they may need or issues that need to be addressed. They can be reached by text or phone. Thank you for your feedback we use it to continually improve our property. Sorry your expectations were not met

Amazing, Peaceful Stay - Great Place to Relax
We had a blast staying in this home. Everything is new, clean and very nice! The scenery is gorgeous! The fire pit is surrounded by plenty of chairs for your party. The walk down to the lake is beautiful....a little steep for those that may struggle with inclines, but fine otherwise. We carried our gear down to the lake and played for hours. There is a beautiful doc to jump from. There are also steps to the water that take you into a beautiful area of clean water. The rocks can be a tad slippery so water shoes are helpful. Our kids range from 9 to 13 and had a great time playing in the water. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating areas to gather with friends and family. The large grill was helpful. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we possibly could have needed. There is not a lot in the area, which is what we loved about it. However, Ed. tip is to get your groceries on your way in so you don't waste time heading back out to get what you need. We rented a boat and tubed Lake Keowee....gorgeous! We also did a waterfall tour on Lake Jocassee...best part of the trip! I absolutely recommend this home if you are looking for gorgeous scenery, quiet nights under the stars, and sunny days swimming in the lake. Finally, kudos to the owner as he checked in on us to make sure all was to our expectations. Everything exceeded our expectations!

WONDERFUL GETAWAY
The pictures do not give this place justice. It was absolutely perfect. The views from every window was breathtaking. The house was beautifully decorated. It felt just like home. Because there was no wi-fi, our family played cards and had a foozball tournament that was hilarious. We had a wonderful bonfire and sit around and talked for hours. I can't remember a more laid back wonderful time. Mary Ann and Bob were wonderful and I can promise I will be back and my entire family agreed. If I could give 10 stars I would!

We had a great time. The home was clean and updated and had everything we needed for cooking. Loved having two covered decks for dining and the views were gorgeous. We appreciated being able to walk down to the lake from the house to use our paddle board. Oh, and the sunsets on the lake were gorgeous! No wifi, but it’s nice to unplug a bit. We would definitely recommend.

Love the Lake Life!
This home is amazing! Beautiful views from every room but, the master bedroom view was breath taking! High end appliances made the in-laws happy which in turn, made us happy. Comfortable beds and living areas. The little touches throughout the home shows attention to detail. We enjoyed our stay and will come back in the future. Great communication and easy booking. Love this house!

Beautiful house on Lake Keowee
The house was beautiful and peaceful, right on the lake. It was well equipped and very clean. We had unforeseen weather events (mainly at my home, which impacted travel plans), and the owner was very flexible and accommodating. I hope to return soon!

Nice house
Loved view and area. There is no wifi and food and groceries not close. Close to a lot of hiking and area and lake are beautiful! Enjoyed our stay

Thank you for your stay and review. The current internet options are still relatively slow. I am hoping the new starlink will offer reliable high speed internet soon. Full service grocery stores and full dining options are about 20 minutes from the house. A few small eateries and convenience stores are about 10 minutes from the house.

Beautiful Home in a wonderful location

T’s Getaway
We have used VRBO for many vacation getaways but this has been our favorite so far. This property had every amenity that you could want except WiFi, which is a blessing if you want to truly get away. We were able to enjoy, relax and unwind by the fire pit each nite. We will definitely plan to rent this property again in the future if available.
