Christmas in Vienna
The property was perfect for our trip and to be in Vienna during the holidays. It was exactly as pictured and provided a comfortable and cozy stay. The apartment is close to a grocery store, transit and a 15 min walk to the Schonbrunn Palace. Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Vienna!

Perfect apartment and location
The apartment was perfectly located. Walking distance to Schloss Schonbrunn, the Heitzing U-Bahn station and tram stop and a supermarket. The apartment itself was very spacious for the three of us and was very well equipped particuarly the kitchen. We visited in December and so it was lovely to come home to a nice warm appartment each evening. Public transport is very easy in Vienna. We bought weekly tickets for €17.10 and used the U Bahn everyday to get into the city centre. It was sometimes busy, but never packed (like you get in London) and we never had to wait more than 6 minutes for a train. We loved Vienna and this apartment and would definitely come again

The apartment made Vienna come alive!
The home itself, in the family for generations, beckoned us home every evening. It was spacious, beautifully appointed, immaculate and very comfortable. We savored the glassed-in room with its sliding doors. Breakfast was precious overlooking the flower-filled yard with its swimming pool. Evenings we watched the sun set behind the trees in the neighboring properties. The apartment was filled with light. Access to public transportation to the city center or even out to the Vienna woods was plentiful and simple to use. We walked to the Schönbrunn Palace in 10 minutes. There are several neighborhood restaurants and easy access to the local grocery store. We enjoyed the Café Dommayer and its wonderful pastries nearby, but cafes abound in the city and you can take your pick. Andrea and Franz, our hosts, were on site and available if we needed anything and gave us as much privacy as we wanted. We stayed in their home for two weeks and could have easily stayed longer we felt so at home. There is so much to do in Vienna that the time just flew by. Anyone lucky enough to book this home will not be disappointed.

Lovely apartment in excellent location with wonderful pool
This was a fantastic place to stay in Vienna. The apartment itself was so spacious and clean and lovely - even nicer than in the photos. It’s ver6 well equipped and its in a great location - walk to Schönbrunn and easy train into town centre. Supermarket and good restaurant in close walking distance too. Andrea and Franz were perfect hosts. We’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone.

Second Visit
This was our second time at this lovely property and it didn't disappoint. All very familiar and convenient for transport links to explore different parts of Vienna. A bonus to have the pool and on site parking. Comment on the change from our previous visit - there was plenty of room to have installed a larger shower but it served its purpose.

First Class apartment!
Apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything we needed for our week in Vienna. It was even more spacious than we thought and the open/closed balcony is a great place to eat and chill. This is an ideal location for tourists who like to get a sense of neighbourhood living whilst being very close to all forms of transport. Two excellent restaurants and supermarket close by. Super hosts who were unobtrusive but available if required.

Perfection in Vienna
It’s not often people or experiences exceed expectations, but in this case they did. Andrea and Franz are the kind of people one hopes to meet when traveling. Not only are they interesting, interested and charming, they are both artisans. What a bonus in a host couple! And their apartment is every bit as special as they are. Everything is top quality from the Poggenpohl kitchen with Villeroy and Boch china to the perfectly drawing fireplace, which we used every night. This was our first trip to Vienna and we struck it rich with splendid hosts, a smashing apartment and excellent location. We hope you’re lucky enough to stay here.

Excellent choice!
This is a beautiful apartment and is just as the pictures show. The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary tools to cook. We paid to use the garage and it was very convenient. Hosts were nice and welcomed us personally when we arrived. I would definitely recommend this rental if you are staying in Vienna.

Excellent stay
Very comfortable and spacious apartment, especially in the garden room, watching the red squirrels charging around as we had breakfast! Great location, quiet, centre easily accessible; with loads to do locally as well. Hosts very friendly and obliging, helping out with "emergency" provisions during the Epiphany public holiday! Excellent base for exploring Vienna
This was a spacious, well decorated and comfortable apartment. The kitchen was fully equipped and there was ample storage throughout the accommodation. Although rather cold the use of the pool was a real bonus for a break from the high temperatures during our stay. It was a shame we didn't get to meet Andrea, but her mother provided a friendly welcome and a helpful point of contact.

Beautiful Apatement
The apartment is as described and much more. Very clean, organized and beautiful. We met with Brigitte, Andrea's mom and what a sweet and helpful lady she is! The apartment is a walking distance to the shunbrunn palace, metro and bus stations, a grocery store, and a very good Greek restsurant. Having the swimming pool was a huge plus. We actually looked forward to going back to the apartment after a long day of sightseeing to the refreshing pool. The backyard is meticulously taken care of with beautiful flowers. The kitchen is very well stocked with all the utensils one may need. Everything is well thought of. We will definitely stay there again whenever we visit Vienna again. Spacious, Airy and Beautiful Lodging
Where do I start? This property is just wonderful! It has high-ceilings and big windows. Every room is airy and bright and tastefully decorated. The bedroom is luxurious with its large windows and french doors. The bed is the most comfortable bed I've slept on throughout our multi-city trip. But the best part is the sun room, where we enjoyed our breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening reads. The apartment has plenty of space and is amply supplied with every amenity you will need--including a drying rack! The kitchen is wonderful and has more than enough dishes, pots and pans for a family! Everything is in top-notch condition. Our hostess Andrea was very helpful, and our stay couldn't be better! Just a note on the location, it is a few metro stops away from the main Vienna tourist attractions, though it is within walking distance (15 mins) to the Schoenbrunn Palace. Overall, I highly recommend this place for people who don't mind being off the beaten track just a little. You'll be amply rewarded by the serenity of the place and the wonderful hospitality of our hosts.

Who could ask for anything more?
My husband & I rented this apartment for 9 nights in late November. It is spacious, spotlessly clean, bright and extremely well equipped. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding of hotel quality. Situated on a quiet street in an owner-occupied building, the street is safe for walking at night (even for a not so young woman walking alone). 5-10 minute walk to 4 major transportation hubs (UBahn, Strassenbahn & busses and the Schnellbahn). I have been in the vacation home rental business for some years and have looked at hundreds of photos and the actual houses/flats represented in them. It is rare to see a property that delivers what the photos show and much more that they don't.

Amazing holiday apartment
We loved our week stay in this lovely apartment which was very spacious and was very well equipped. The verandah/conservatory was a great place to have our meals when we ate in. The owners were very pleasant and they make great wood carvings. The location was also great 10/15 minute walk from Schonbrunn Palace and 10/15 minute walk from Heitzing subway station. Vienna has many, many places to visit and the architecture is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Hop On Hop Off buses were a good way to see most of Vienna. Robert and Dorothy Smith

A sanctuary in the city - highly recommend!
Before I get into all the reasons this is one of our favorite HomeAway rentals, let's address why I am only giving 4 stars instead of 5 stars. We had to book this place at the last minute due to an AirBnB host in Budapest who ghosted us and threw our plans into chaos. We were so pleased this property was available with only a few weeks notice. When we arrived, we were informed that there was a construction project going on that was supposed to be finished before we arrived, but due to rain was not. This meant that every morning around 7:00 a.m. we awoke to construction noise. And that construction really was the only downside to our stay and the reason for the four stars. Also, I believe the construction was finished at the end of our visit so it should not affect future rentals. The hosts, Andrea and her husband, were great! They were there when we arrived, showed us how everything worked in the apartment, and apologized profusely for the construction. Also, they were available during our visit and incredibly responsive to a couple of minor hiccups. They left us Prosecco in the fridge. The apartment is well-appointed. In fact, it has one of the best kitchens we've ever experienced in a rental apartment in Europe. All the furniture is really comfortable. The sun room / loggia was great for meals. The neighborhood is quiet and we were able to leave the windows open at night for fresh air. Oh, and it was so clean! The location is great as it is near two U-Bahn stations, a terrific Greek restaurant, a little supermarket, and the Schonbrunn Palace. It's near the Technology Museum, an underrated gem walking distance from the apartment. Again, we highly recommend this apartment!

Beautiful apartment, perfectly equipped, and in great location to enjoy Vienna
Despite warmer weather than expected and a bit of construction going on in the adjacent apartment, we totally enjoyed our three week stay in this wonderful property. With high ceilings and tall windows, the main rooms of the apartment are airy and spacious. The kitchen was the best equipped Home Away rental we have encountered and the back sun room overlooked a lovely green oasis in the city. A short walk to the UBahn took us quickly and efficiently to anywhere in Vienna we wanted to go. We particularly enjoyed our pastries from Dom Mayer Cafe and strolls through the beautiful grounds of the Schönbrunn Palace. A dip in the pool at the end of the day was a wonderful bonus.

Wonderful Accommodations
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Vienna. The apartment is within walking distance of the Schonbrunn Palace and is a short Uber Ride from many other major attractions. We loved the spaciousness of the apartment, especially the glass dining area overlooking the garden area. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We were even welcomed with a bottle of private label Prosecco, compliments of our host. Although it rained several days during our stay, it was nice to be in a wonderful apartment. Andrea was very helpful and available to answer all questions.

Vienna Country in the City Apartment
One of the best experiences we've had on our many European home rentals! The homeowners were so welcoming and the accommodations are first rate! The decor is artfully designed with homey and inviting touches. The kitchen has all the bells and whistles. The lovely garden view from the dining room imakes you feel you are in the country and not a big city. On the first floor the homeowners have a wood carving school. And if they are teaching a class,, you will be iin awe of their amazing craftsmanship. The clean and safe U-Bahn is close by and you can get anywhere in Vienna easily. All in all, we highly recommend this apartment!

Lovely, clean and comfortable apartment ideally situated for Vienna and area
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay in your apartment. There was plenty of space with a well stocked kitchen and a delightful loggia that overlooked the garden and pool. The loggia had full length sliding windows helping it keep fresh for meals at the dining table. Our daughter decided to join us after coming home from university and had to sleep on the sofa bed which was very comfortable. We hired a car from the airport and the on site garage was very useful. We also had no trouble finding a car parking space at any of city car parks but they are expensive. We were able to visit lots of places: The Butterfly house, Belvedere Gallery to see the Klimts, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Cathedral and shops, Schönbrunn Palace and gardens and on our last day we drove about 40 miles out to Melk Abbey. With good weather we we able to use the pool to cool off at the end of a days sightseeing. We had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay and we found Franz and Andrea welcoming and very helpful. We have rented a lot of holiday properties over the years and this is on our list as one of the best. We highly recommend this place to others - it is really lovely. Thank you

We could hardly have been more satisfied with our stay at the Stadhofers. They are welcoming and very helpful if needed. The apartment is modern but in a grand old Viennese house with high ceilings etc. The Stadhofers run a woodcarving business from the ground floor but you will not be disturbed. Overall this is probably the best vacation rental we've had in over 25 years.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Außergewöhnlich schöne und großzügige Wohnung!
Sehr angenehm und komfortabel! Sehr freundliche Vermieterin- wir haben es sehr genossen, die ruhige Wohnlage, die herrliche Loggia ( Wintergarten) und den schönen Garten. Nur das Wetter hat nicht ganz mitgespielt, sodass wir den Garten nicht so oft nutzen konnten. Aber da Wien genügend Museen und andere Highlights zu bieten hat, waren wir trotzdem total zufrieden. Die gute Anbindung , die schöne Umgebung ( Schloss und Schlosspark, Hietzing…) sind nur einige Punkte, die man nennen kann. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt in einer Wohnung, die alles hat, was man sich wünscht!

Die Lage der Wohnung ist ideal für einen touristischen Wien-Besuch, wenn man einen ruhigen Rückzugsort sucht. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und hat einen vergleichsweise hohen Komfort. Für schlechteres Wetter und die kalte Jahreszeit bietet der lichtdurchflutete Wintergarten eine sehr angenehme Athmosphäre.

Super weekend a Vienna
L'appartamento è spazioso, luminoso e super attrezzato. Molto confortevole, tanto che ci siamo subito sentì come a casa. La legna già pronta vicino al camino, le ciabatte all'entrata e un servizio di porcellane da grand hotel. Molto apprezzata anche la veranda. La zona è tranquilla ed è comodo raggiungere il centro con la metro. Molto consigliato!

Wir haben uns in der Wohnung sofort wohlgefühlt, weil sie eine sehr persönliche Atmosphäre hat. Nach den Besuchen in der Stadt, war es immer ein wenig wie nach Hause kommen. Sehr erholsam ist der Aufenthalt im Wintergarten, weil der Blick ins Grüne geht und weil es sehr ruhig ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns sehr herzlich aufgenommen. Für den nächsten Wien-Aufenthalt wollen wir gerne wieder kommen.

Rundum schön!
Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen - die Wohnung bietet innen und außen alles, was man zur Erholung braucht.
