Description

Spend an active day at the Garrafon Natural Reef Park, located on the southern tip of the charming Isla Mujeres. Snorkel, kayak, and bike—or just relax in a beach hammock. Sip on a drink from the open bar and savor a light breakfast and a buffet lunch as your full day progresses.

Your action-packed day in the Caribbean sun begins with ferry transportation from Playa Tortugas. Enjoy breakfast, an open bar, and stunning views before docking at the Garrafon eco park. Just off its rocky coast stands a colorful coral reef, home to many tropical fish. Put on your snorkeling gear and dive in to explore this fascinating natural aquarium.

When hunger strikes, proceed to the buffet restaurant for a delicious meal and refreshing drinks. Then grab a paddle and kayak your way around the park's coastline, or take advantage of the exciting optional activities, which include ziplining and interactive dolphin programs (at your own cost).

Once you've explored the park, get on a bike and take a leisurely tour to the magical Punta Sur Cliff. Save some more energy for a shopping excursion to the town of Isla Mujeres, where locals offer a wide variety of handicrafts, ceramics, and souvenirs.

Terrible food, a shame because Mexico's food culture is one of the best but instead they serve hot dogs and nachos mainly. The other buffet food was not appetizing at all, no real Mexican food. The tour guides were not really interested in helping or serving their customers until it came down to hand some tips over; would not recommend this to anyone.

Overall, it was a was nice experience but don’t think it was worth the $187. PROS: Staff was exceptional!! We did the basic VIP which gave us access to the restaurant and snack bar. The food at the both places was very good. The waiter (Mario) at the VIP restaurant was OUTSTANDING! He made the best pina coladas. Zip lining was pretty fun and the Ruins attraction had a beautiful trail along the ocean. CONS: Current was pretty rough so the kayak attraction was closed and snorkeling wasn’t a good experience. Got scammed by a local vendor that was selling Ice cream outside of the ruins. When we first came up and asked the price of 2 cones he told us 20 pesos then when I pulled out 50 pesos to pay him he said the price was 50 pesos. Although we were going to give him the 50 pesos anyway It kinda sucked to see him try and take advantage like that. Biggest con is that we were stuck on the island until 5:30pm. We saw and did everything by 2:30 pm and so after that we were ready to go.
