“The house was very beautiful, warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the morning view eating breakfast in the kitchen. The kids loved the upstairs setup and kid friendly area. The decor was also very pleasing! We were excited to see the option of many different books, games and other activities. The house was clean and very comfortable! We loved that there was coffee pot and coffee available to make. We will love to stay again. It was incredible!”

“The cabin was nice. It has a kitchenette, so preparing meals was convenient. Cooke City is a very small town, with no cell service, and limited eateries and supplies. So we brought all of our food, including meals that we premade, and just heated up. We came to watch the wildlife in the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone National Park, and Cooke City is minutes away from the East end of the park. Which is a big plus. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful, it was wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay...

“The house was perfect for hosting our 3 generation family trip to Yellowstone. Lots of space inside the house which had everything we needed. (We got all our groceries in Cody.) It’s a long day trip into the park but the beautiful scenery and the river kept the kids (ages 7-15) busy so we found ourselves sticking around the property.”

“We had an incredibly relaxing vacation. This little cabin by Soda Butte Creek was just what we needed to unwind and relax. We have no complaints, if you enjoy the outdoors this will be paradise for you. A few suggestions for guests: pickup groceries near your airport, there’s not much available in Silver Gate and Cooke City and point your binoculars toward the mountains and enjoy the mountains goats.”

“It was adequate for our purpose. Very close to the NE entrance to Yellowstone. My only suggestions is a better place to put garbage after it’s full. Leaving it outside attracted some of the community wandering dogs. Also seating for the patio such as fold up chairs would have been nice. The interior is ok but could use some updating. Yet, in our case we were not there much of the time so what is there was sufficient.”

Kitchen was fully kitted out with everything we needed, plenty of space for our whole crew to spread out, great location just off Main Street and next to the gas stations and crawling distance from the Miner is pretty awesome. “This was a very economical place to stay centered beside the entrance to Yellowstone. Owner was nice and stayed behind us in his own cabin. Cooke City in general wasn’t as welcoming as we had expected other than the fly shop that was closing down for the season while we were there. Gas stations, restaurants, and other amenities were super expensive so bring what you can or stop before you get there to buy what you need. Overall we had a great time!”

“A great location to access the Beartooth Mountains and surrounding Shoshone National Forest. Loved the yurt, very cozy and comfortable. A great place to return to each day after a beautiful hike to the high mountain lakes on the Beartooth Plateau. Nan and Brian were very friendly and super helpful with information about the area.
