Everything is clean and well kept. The microwave screen did not work during this stay (however it did work our stay the week prior). The heating settings are a bit frustrating as the locked presets would let the house get cold overnight.

This was a lovely place to stay! We had three generations and there was plenty of room for everyone to be together and also have their own spaces. It was a quick and easy walk to Main Street. I highly recommend staying here!

We had a great stay at this property, which was as advertised and met all of our needs and expectations. The chalet is well appointed, comfortable and perfectly situated for visits to Yellowstone or nearby activities. While we did not cook much (several of our meals were at the nearby Beartooth Cafe, which is great!), the kitchen is well equipped and had all the items we needed. We would definitely rent this property again.

We had a blast and the house was beautiful and clean. Perfect spot to be able to walk anywhere in Cooke. Host was responsive and helpful. We went to the music festival during the day and played board games afterwards. Great family time and hope to be able to come and stay again next year. Thank you for the beautiful and comfortable stay!!

We use the Chalet as headquarters for an event we put on in Cooke City. The house is the perfect mix of stunning, up to date and so comfortable you instantly feel at home. Everything is labeled clearly, instructions about the house and town are thorough, and the hosts responded quickly to our silly questions! Check was easy and they reminded us that we wouldnt have cell service which was helpful to know!The views are amazing and the porch is perfect for morning coffee or sunset beers with the propane fire pits. The beds are super comfortable and there are plenty of towels (nothing worse than running out of towels!!). The master suite and master bathroom made me never want to leave.The kitchen table sat our entire crew and we enjoyed pizza from the Miners and home made breakfast burritos!

The chalet was very comfortable and pet friendly. Perfect place for a family get away! We went for a morning ride and came back to relax and then back out for an afternoon ride…would definitely stay again!

Yellowstone Adventure

Very clean and stocked with all the essentials for our trip. Comfortable stay for sure and worked well for our large group (4 adults, 5 kids ages 8 and under). Host was a very attentive and thorough communicator. Location was perfect for exploring the park!

Great place!

Great base for NE Yellowstone adventure

Wow! This is a gem and we can’t wait to come back. This was the perfect spot to stay for a few days to explore Yellowstone, especially the wildlife-heavy Lamar Valley. Cooke City is quaint and quiet…highly recommend Wooka Tacos.

Fantastic Family Vacation Spot

Wonderful property, gorgeous 2 level home with tons of family areas and spacious bedrooms. Location is terrific - we walked a block to fun restaurants for lunch and dinner. Cooke City warm and inviting to visitors, and we were just minutes from Yellowstone park and great trails and rivers to fish. Nicest hosts ever - we were touched at all the treats and special touches that had set up for us.

Good but not Luxe as advertised

You're buying the views. It is priced based on supply and demand and was very expensive for amenities and updates that aren't there. We understood we booked a larger home than we needed but trusted the description of how nice it would be, thus were willing to pay more for a relaxing stay. Things are overused and worn, kitchen amenities need replacing and organization. There is no hot tub, epic views yes, high-end features no. The bathroom vents are caked with dust and could be cleaned to offer clean airflow. On arrival the house was not cleaned throughout; there were crumbs and dust on furniture as well as the floors. It is by far the best option for the location and fine if it is more reasonably priced. The main oven had no power and to bring food and prep in the other area was more work and not reasonable. It was fine, we knew we were remote, just expected some understanding which wasn't there. The town is lovely, neighbors and residents alike. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Cooke City, but would have liked the value to match the expense.

Beautiful accommodations!

Our family western adventure took us across 5 states staying at 7 hotels/VRBOs for 15 days. This place was by far the best we stayed at! The master bedroom and bathroom was stunning! (Well the whole house was but the master bedroom was really impressive). We stayed 4 nights in West Yellowstone and only 2 nights here. Hindsight now, but I would have preferred to stay here the whole time and drove the extra distance to catch the West Yellowstone sights.

Yellowstone a stones throw away!

We choose this house because it was so convenient to the Northeast entrance to Yellowstone. The Lamar Valley is just a bit inside this entrance. If you’re looking for wildlife Lamar is the place to go. We saw multiple black and cinnamon bears with cubs, a couple of grizzly, coyotes, fox, antelope, and of course bison. The house was well stocked and had some nice touches like microwave popcorn, hot chocolate and s’mores ingredients out for guests. We did have one hiccup, the oven went out completely and was still not working when we left. Thank goodness there was another half kitchen with a oven that worked. Also be aware the loft bedroom it is open to the area with the television so whoever is sleeping there has to understand that. All in all a good stay.

Stronghold 6th annual Cooke trip

The chalet was everything we were looking for and then some. Kitchen was fully kitted out with everything we needed, plenty of space for our whole crew to spread out, great location just off Main Street and next to the gas stations and crawling distance from the Miner is pretty awesome. Brad was very accommodating and easy to communicate with, we will most definitely be returning next year for our 7th annual!!

Great Stay - Great Place - Great Host

Brought a group of friends and family out to go fly fishing for a few days and stayed for 4 nights. This place is in a great location in Cooke City (very close to the Miner's Saloon - great pizza!), and the property was fantastic. It had plenty of space for all 8 guys who came on the trip. The host was quick to respond with questions, and it was very clean and welcoming when we arrived. It even had a personal note welcoming us as well as items to make smores as a welcoming gift. Absolutely great place and will most definitely look to stay here again when we return to Cooke City in the future.
