“Me sorprendió gratamente ya que estaba muy limpio, tenia un lava manos dentro de la habitación, nos dejaron toallas, y algunas infusiones para desayunar. Además, tiene una cocina con todo lo necesario para cocinar, junto con la lavandería completa. Lo único que no me agrado fue que quisimos ussr la lavadora pero necesitaba una moneda especial, la cual debían dárnosla en recepción pero luego de las 18 hs no había nadie allí por lo que no pudimos utilizarla. “Beautiful facilities. Loved being able to walk to market and Circle quay! Our neighbors were very loud one night. There is no staff at night. ”

“I love the hostal but I think you should really pay more attention to the bathrooms and cleaning in general. One day our room did not have the cleaning service done and one other day they left the same dirty spoons for the coffee we had previously used.”

“Me ha encantado este Hostel! No es el típico hostel de juerga. Es nuevo y está impecable. Es perfecto si quieres un sitio solo de mujeres donde puedes hacer amigas. Habían chicas que se quedaban varios meses mientras trabajan, y me pareció una idea genial para quien busca trabajo y quiere hospedarse en un sitio seguro y tranquilo. Recomendable! ”

“Creo que es una muy buena opción (claro, hay mejores lugares si tienes el presupuesto), pero si eres un estudiante internacional o un working holiday es una muy buena opción por la ubicación, fácil transporte, te permite conocer la ciudad ya que estás en el centro, hay personas de todas partes del mundo y puedes hacer amigos y contactos que aquí lo que vale son los CONTACTOS. Estuvimos en un cuarto compartido y me pareció justo. Si volviera a empezar, sin duda me iría por este hostal de nuevo....

“Good locatoon for exploring sydney. Hostel itself did not look like the pictures at all, room was very small cramped and dingy with the one window covered. No air con just a fan that kept breaking. Cleaners dont seem to clean bathroom which is needed. Not a particularly friendly hostel either but that is more about the people, not the owners. ”

“The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. ”

“Lack of service.... Never anyone at reception.. Was told I could only pay cash for the booking... And when I decided to extend my booking the next night, I checked the price online and it was $80 But when the manager/receptionist finally arrived I saw her on one of the floors as she was cleaning the rooms. “Pay some extra money and stay somewhere else if you don’t want to breathe in cigarette smoke or if you want some sleep. The room windows all opened out onto the smoking deck - what a treat- especially when traveling with kids- love a good ciggy for the family floating in through the louvre windows that you can’t close. On friday night we were then ‘treated’ to the piano man - live music until 1 am which felt like it was under the floor. Seriously, why rent the rooms out as accommodation when...

“The location is great. Very close to King Cross station. The staff are friendly. I also like free luggage storage. But the place stinks. The Wi-Fi sucks. I mean good Wi-Fi is like the baseline a hostel should have and you fail. There are not enough bathrooms. People have to queue up to get into a bathroom(which combines toilet and shower together, so if you want to pee, you have to wait for people to finish showering). ”

“mould all over the shower curtains in the bathroom. I didn’t want to shower because i didn’t want to breathe in the spores. No door on the bathroom, Just a curtain that was see through. The room could have been cleaner. The traffic outside was extremely noisy and it wasn’t really near any restaurants. It’s passable if you’re desperate but otherwise i’d book somewhere else. ”

“I spent a few nights at the Asylum Sydney and can recommend this hostel although its furniture is a bit long in the tooth. That i enjoyed my stay is primarily due to the fact that the staff were very friendly and helpful and the mix of the guests was very pleasant and due to the small size of the hostel you easy make contact with other guests. Other benefits are plugs for every bunk, locker on the room and free but simple breakfast.”

“We had cockroaches in our room and there were rats around the building. The reception was closed at 7:30AM, we had to call the number that was left there and we were asked to check out in the hostel next door. ”
